10/31: Rishte badal rahe hain

Sonalll👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Woman, I LOVE YOU for that last scene you wrote today!!! It's UNHEARD of on Indian TV to see such a FINELY nuanced scene written...and then ENACTED by two such BRILLIANT actors...Manav and Gautami, you are ROCKSTARS👏👏


Oh that FINE line b/w relationships as they evolve...so WONDERFULLY captured today...I want to fangirl over just that one scene SO DAMN MUCH! Two best friends in SO much pain...the TRANSITION of this relationship has been SO brilliantly handled, I don't think I've seen the likes of it anywhere on TV before...even Sonal's previous show NBT didn't have such a MATURE transition in the relationship of the lead pair.


I don't even know where to begin gushing about this epi...the build up in Shruti's confused anger at herself, then Sanjay...being unable to help caring and being hurt at Sanjay's curtness...and the final confrontation in her office at the end of a terrible day...all that hurt and anguish coming out as she asks yet again...WHY did he have to CHANGE everything? I LOVE the way they both put that emphasis on BEST friend whenever they say that about each other..."You were my BEST friend!"...that one simple term encompasses SO much more in it than just friendship...

And that is the CRUX of the whole matter...as Sanjay himself explained...he tried SO hard to fight the change that was taking over...cuz he knew he'd lose his BEST friend...but he was helpless...and now Shruti can't get over the pain of not having that BEST friend exactly as she'd wanted him all these years...CHANGE is OH so hard to deal with...and it was so HEARTBREAKINGLY beautiful to watch these two FINE actors portray those emotions today...the way Sanjay goes, "Shruti, look at me" as he brushes her tear and tilts her chin up...and the way he explains to her that they cannot CONTROL what the other feels...they cannot MAKE the other's feelings run the way they want...He can't MAKE her love him and she can't MAKE him STOP loving her...

LOVED the way he tells Shruti, "I'll love you, forever"...Shruti still wants to close her eyes and turn away from the change but I'm glad she got to hear it this way from Sanjay today...the depth of his feelings and his love for her came through.

And I just LOVE how this love has EVOLVED...I've NEVER seen a post confession storyline handling done THIS well on Indian TV...KUDOS Sonal and the makers of this show...and an extra kudos to Manav-Gautami👏

Agree, I have never seen such change after confessions on TV earlier. Here Sonal Sanjay is different from Sonal Mohan. No comparison waise. I like them both . 😆 Age factor, maturity, years of relationship and behaviorism does make a difference here. The way Sanjay explained to Shruti was just beautiful. The fact that he loves will remain same. So instead of banging head, let not control what he/she feels. 👏 And definitely this truth of him loving her forever has hit somewhere in her mind.

Liking the depth of writing in show for SS scenes. We must savor it before the show goes down in sanjay's mom hand 😆

@ bold: same feelings here. Prabha helps a lot to not keep expectations high.😆 So if the show goes down the drain there will be no surprises😆

Thanks, Pals! Sonal's genius shines through on a general basis but on some days it shines EXTRA bright...today was one of those days...I'm still blown away by what I witnessed today.

Ofcourse Sonal Mohan were different...but there was scope to explore more MATURE tones in the MM relationship which never came to be...thankfully the potential for MATURE handling is being utilized in the Sanjay-Shruti relationship...I'm not even counting Prabha crap in this cuz that is the inevitable downside...but when it's just THESE TWO...it's sheer BRILLIANCE...can't fault a SINGLE scene of theirs together so far...Sonal writes it perfect and these actors deliver it NOTE perfect👏👏👏...clear MASTERS of their craft!

Heyy Anjana! Glad to see you here! These two deserve more viewers...the forum is largely dead otherwise which just a few of us haunting it😆

Today was just sheer brilliance...scenes like today make me wonder why these two aren't more popular...today was some EXCEPTIONAL writing and exceptional acting...I haven't seen anything like this in the zillions of shows I've watched over the years...

Its so difficult for me to word it like you do. So many emotions running together love, heartbreak , helpnessness and so many complications but was handled so brilliantly. 👏 Manav and Gautami act so well that we go through each emotions and make it so tangible that we can actually feel it. It is so uncanny that hundreds of questions that arise in our mind as viewers get answered each time.

The screenplay hardly gives any room for maneuver. Its such a delicate relationship and so much can go wrong if not handled well. Here is the test of brilliance and Sonal once again aces it👏

The change and evolvement in relationship between SS is brought so convincingly. They have left no room for MISUNDERSTANDING and everything is out in the open.Everytime he tries to make one point clear that he has done no favours to her by giving her the job . Sanjay put forth his side so beautifully that he will love her forever and thats not going to change. Shruti on her part doesnt go saying chhi tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho or main harsh ke siva kisi aur ke baare mein soch bhi nahi sakti and all other cliche stuff. That is what pleasantly surprised me today.

Shrutis conversation with her mother has helped her a lot to atleast accept somewhere that Sanjay means a lot more than a freind to her.

WORD@ bold...the SCREENPLAY is sheer brilliance for these two characters...Sonal handles that FINE line SO well...so much is woven in emotions-wise and then Manav-Gautami deliver so beautifully that we are pulled in as viewers feeling the emotions of these characters...their pain, their anguish, their love for each other.

I just LOVE the build up...Shruti's talk with her mother is the backdrop of all this...her mother's questions and words are ringing in her head and after her initial reaction, now she herself isn't being able to figure out what to do, how to react...she falls back into old patterns, can't help but care for Sanjay even after declaring all relationships b/w them dead...just that TURMOIL is shown SO well...Gautami acts it SO DAMN WELL...no rush, no TRITENESS, no CONTRIVED b.s...

To quote Jzee here, you hardly ever see a hero in love with a BACKBONE like Sanjay displays despite being so in love...despite being SO in love, he has a LOGIC for everything😆...including scolding Shruti for the huge professional blunder she made today.

MAJOR kudos to Sanjay for NOT being a HOPELESS majnu loverboy and being so MATURE in handling the aftermath of his confession and his feelings.

Also WORD to the fact that Shruti isn't using HARSH as a shield...LOVE Sonal for not using that lame overdone excuse...For Shruti this is just b/w her and Sanjay...whatever tone their relationship takes, this is just b/w them...I LOVE that.
