I disagree with most of you.
The story of these three is unique. In other stories, with the arrival of the wife, the girlfriend is usually projected as a vamp, jealous and revengeful. Here Ishana is no such person and totally in love with Nikhil. She is in a state of denial about her relationship being the same as before with Nikhil. Now who is responsible to put her in this state- our own cute and innocent Nikhil who is always trying to prove his worth to all the women of the family, is kind and also emotionally involved with Ishana. From his perspective he is only Laajo's friend and is very clear in his mind that this pact is to save Laajo's family's honor.
Ishana is not able to move on and is also held back by Nikhil's interference post marriage, and Laajo is falling in love with Nikhil where she is misinterpreting his kindness towards her as love.

In the current track, Ishana would come out of denial, if Nikhil does not run after her to provide explanation. Laajo would understand that Nikhil loves Ishana if Nikhil tells her clearly that look get busy with some studies and be on your feet and I will support you but I am in love with this other girl and can't leave/hurt her. Nikhil would come to his senses and who he should really be with if Ishana takes a stand not to meet up with him until he has sorted out his feelings and life and Laajo tells him to put her in another four walls where she is not rebuked for no reason and has a purpose in life.

I think the only sense for now is with Barkha who is trying to show Nikhil the reality but her ways of doing so are cunning, mean and evil that her purpose loses the meaning.

Just because we love Laajo and want to see her happy with Nikhil, we should not be putting Ishana down who has lost her love in the blink of the eye because of someone else's immaturity.

Most of you guys do make a good point, maybe Ishana was sort of immature in this situation but why does Ishana have to walk away? Why does Ishana have to sacrifice? Why does Ishana has to give up her love for someone else? Why can't Lajjo just simply accept the truth and walk away? Why can't Nikhil just make things clear to ishana where their relationship stands? Since the day Ishana found about the marriage, Nikhil has been giving her mixed signals. He say's to ishana that he loves her, only her and he just married lajjo out of humanity and on the other hand, there he is defending lajjo in front of his family claiming that she's his wife and won't leave her. Nikhil is confused himself what he wants in his life, he's not ready to let go of lajjo nor ishana. And from day one Nikhil told lajjo cleary that do not expect anything from him since he loves someone else but he tells ishana that he will fix everything. If lajjo and nikhil should get a chance to work out their marriage, then Ishana should also be given a chance to work out her relationship with Nikhil. Nikhil married lajjo just for the sake but he truly loves ishana so therefore Ishana should stay and fight for her love that was robbed away hehe...
Hope we get a chance to see a cat fight between the two ladies hehe😆

Exactly! and if she really, really love him she should have been happy to see her love happy and if as a friend, couldnt she just be happy to see him smilling anyway?
There are people who wants to see others unhappy because they are themselves unhappy and Ishana's character seems to be like one of those.

So we should take the view then that all men and women out there who are married to someones else other than the person they happen to be in love with should just discard them at whim like a piece of cloth and go back to their true love. What a mockery that would make of marriages when love becomes the only thing to consider above all else.

I would like to ask you from where did you get the interpretation that my post is suggesting that all the married men in love with other than their wives should leave their wives. Nikhil is very clear in his mind at this time that he does not love Laajo and their marriage is a pact. Laajo is falling in love with him and that is beyond her control understandably. How come it is Ishana's fault if she is unable to control her emotions? It takes time to move away and she has been trying hard but for the mixed messages coming her way. It is a unique situation and time can only heal if all these early twenty youth would act with maturity. Marriage is not a mockery but if both parties make a contentious decision of keeping it fake, what marriage are we talking about here?
First these two individuals laajo and Nikhil have to make it right for themselves either by going away or accepting each other and then resolve it for others.
