two days passed by but still there was that strange air between virat and manvi. they werent able to talk to each other openly which was clearly showing that there was something seriously wrong with them. there was a time when they could talk to each other freely about anything and everything, but it was practically till the time they got married. friendship turning into love is a bliss but when that love changes into marriage, that friendship which was the foundation, doesnt remains the same. two people who were friends with one another once, doesnt seem to be that free with each other just because they are married... oh no... this was exactly what was happening with virman.
kasak : mumma...
manvi : hmm...
kasak : where are we going...??
manvi : anywhere you want honey... actually i didnt want to stay at home...
kasak : hum krish dekhne chale...??
manvi : you really want to go...
kasak : yes...
manvi : okk... we will go...
kasak : hum dad ko bhi bol de...
manvi : no... only you n me...
kasak : hehe... okkk... dad jealous ho jaenge... hai na...?? 😉
manvi : haan... 😛
kasak : jaldi drive karo na fir mumma... movie miss ho jaegi...
manvi : i am driving fast baby...
kasak : aur main toh popcorn bhi khaungi...
manvi : and what about pepsi...??? nachos...??
kasak : dono... dono lenge hum... okk mumma...
manvi : okk baby...
manvi drove to a nearby mall and bought the tickets. before the movie she thought of informing virat, so she watsapp him.
there virat kept his file aside and checked watsapp.
" we are going for a movie... sudden plan you see... "
and replied "have fun... "
virat : sudden plan... i know... you could have asked me also... but no you and your ego...
virat again started working ignoring his feelings.
manvi and kasak returned home and kasak went straight to the room.
kasak : dad...
virat looked up from the laptop at kasak and smiled.
kasak ran to ran and sat beside him.
kasak : maine movie dekhi... (showing him her tongue)
virat : haww... kaunsi...??
kasak : krishh... wo krish yahan se wahan fly kar raha tha... fire mein se jump kia...
virat was looking at manvi who ignored virat and stood in front of the mirror removing her earings.
kasak : dad maine na popcorn bhi khae... aur na woh song hai na movie ka... woh... woh kaunsa song tha mumma...???
manvi : i dont know baby...
kasak : arrey woh wala... desert mein tha... woh gandi si aunty thi...
virat : why didnt you take me kasak...??
kasak : maine bola tha... (feeling guilty)
virat : mumma ne mna kia hoga... hai na..??
manvi glared at virat and went to the bathroom for changing her clothes.
kasak was still blabbering one thing or another with virat and manvi looked at her little angel with love and admiration.
manvi : enough of talking my princess... go n get fresh...
kasak : no...
manvi : cmon go wash you hands n face atleast...
kasak : okk... fir chocolate...??
manvi : okk promise...
kasak ran to her room and manvi starting cleaning up the mess around when she heard some sound. manvi looked at virat who bolted the door.
manvi : what are you doing...??
virat : locking the door...
manvi ignored virat and thought that its better to concentrate on the things lying here and there.
virat : stop doing that...
manvi : did i say anything to you...???
virat : that is the f***ing problem manvi...
manvi : i dont want to talk... (picking up the novel from the sofa chair)
virat : dont test my patience... i have had enough...
manvi : virat please... i have a lot of work to do...
virat : may be thats why you had time for watching a movie...
manvi : that was because kasak wanted to watch it...
virat : ohh yeah... if you wanted you would have said no to her...
manvi : you very well now that i cant refuse kasak...
virat : ohh yeah... tum toh mamta ki murat ho na... 👏
manvi : what is wrong with you virat...??? (throwing the novel on the bed)
virat : what is wrong with you damnit...?? what is wrong with you...?? tell me... (walking towards manvi)
manvi : nothing is wrong...
virat : dont do this to me... i wont take this... (holding her arm tightly)
manvi : leave my hand...
virat : not till the time you talk to me...
manvi : what am i doing...?? i am talking to you only... right..??
virat : aww... you think you can play with me...
manvi : virat relax... you dont know what you are saying...
virat was losing his calm and pushed manvi against the wall behind her.
manvi : ahh...
virat : dont make it difficult for me...
manvi : what am i doing...?? you are behaving strange and weird...
virat : but you... you are disgusting... (shaking her harshly)
manvi : mind your language... what is wrong with you...??
virat : you called him... why...??
manvi : i dont understand what you are saying... (trying to free herself from his grip)
virat : are you so naive...?? i know you talk to him... you talk to rishabh... (gritting his teeth)
manvi stood there numb the moment she heard this.
manvi : v..vi..virat..
virat : you are regretting being with me... hai na...??? implusive decision lia tha uss din tumne, afsoos ho rha hoga na...
manvi couldnt believe what virat was saying... he thinks that she married him because of the circumstances and the supposedly implusive decision of hers... donno when tears started rolling down her eyes, but it didnt seem to affect virat the way it used to be... this was not the virat she loved and married...
virat : i dont want your silence... answer me manvi... speak up...
manvi : leave me... (between her sobs)
virat : ohh god manvi... why did you call him...??
yes manvi was emotionally weak but she wanted to know how virat came to know about this.
manvi : i will tell you why i called him but before that you have to tell me how you know about this...
virat : that is not important...
manvi : why...?? just because i am the one who asked it not you... everything you say cannot be right and important at the same time... (pushing him away)
virat : okk... i took your mobile and saw his name in the logs. he called you n then you called him...
manvi : he called to apologise that night...
virat : yeah he called you at 11 in the night to apologise... and what a coincidence... he called you that night only when i wasnt at home... (pulling her close forcefully)
manvi : stop it virat... you are being unreasonable...
virat : then you give a good reason why you called him...
manvi : why did you check my mobile...??
virat : i said i took it generally... i dont spy on you for your kind information...
manvi : but you doubt on me... 😭
virat : shut up manvi... 😡
manvi : no... not this time... you are wrong this time... you are wrong... (wiping the tears off her face)
virat left manvi with a jerk and taking his mobile went out of the room.
manvi broke down in tears and sat on the floor hugging her knees.
manvi and virat were both immersed in their pain and anger that they failed to notice kasak standing near the door.. the poor kid was hell scared as she never saw her parents having a heated argument like this.
manvi wiped her tears and got up to fix her dishevelled situation when she thought of closing the door so that kasak doesnt sees her in this state... but to her utter dismay kasak was sitting on the floor, her back resting against the wall of their room, and she was scared.
manvi : kasak... (bending down)
kasak didnt say a word but continued crying.
manvi : baby... look at mumma baby... come to mumma baby...
manvi picked up kasak in her arms and closed the door. manvi sat on the bed with kasak in her arms.
manvi : baby what happened...??? kasu...
kasak : dad is bad... 😭
manvi : no baby... dad is not bad... no kasu...
kasak : mumma dad ne fir gussa kia... (hugging manvi more closely)
manvi (controlling her tears) : aisa nahi kehte kasak... dad ne kuch nahi kaha honey...
kasak : maine suna...
manvi : kuch nahi sunna... do you get that...??? kasak apne nahi sunna beta...
kasak : mumma par...
manvi : no kasu... dad mumma se baat kar rahe the...
kasak : mumma nahi... 😭 😭
manvi : kasu mera baccha... kuch nahi hua... u trust mamma...??
kasak : hmm...
manvi : toh fir bas...
kasak : ok..
manvi patted kasak's head until she slept and for the first time manvi was feeling that devastated. she was not in such a condition, even when she hit maya and killed her accidently... but today... today on seeing kasak's condition, it killed her... a mother died when she saw that condition of her child... she always protected kasak and now the misunderstandings of her marriage is affecting her baby and manvi wouldnt take it at any cost. now her husband has to answer her questions and dare anything negative reach her child. a wife must have listened to the accusations of her husband, but a mother wouldnt listen to anything from anyone that would affect her child... not even from the father of her child.
