when do orders from ur par. b com advice?

When your twelve or something i'm sure everyone has thought "god, i cant wait until these people stop ordering me around" but thirty years later you realise that in our community this is still the case. The children who are now adults are still listening to everything mom and dad say without question. When should parental orders turn into advice for us? or should they at all?

By late teens or when exposed to outside you realize parental orders are for a purpose. Internally your conscious knows orders are kinna of advise but still mur mur while following them - this can happen at any age. Again as of now not all p. orders are advise, they are just orders 😆 probably later in life would realize all orders are advise. 😛

I see your point usachick! that's my pet peeve and exactly what i call irrational and unreasonable demand of respect from this set of parents! They'll always and forever be older, but so what? Let everybody around you grow up too!! Those poeple will hoever never stop advising till they die i think. 🤢🤢🤢

luckily, I did not grow up in such an environment, and was treated as a friend even at an earlier age-.. when I was exposed to the above-mentioned behavious, I could not believe it was for real.. 🤢🤢

Parents have the right to advice,order children at any age!!! They don't need to restrict themselves!!Afterall its they who bring their child to this World.Children should manage to obey/disobey the orders or advices wisely😉

Most of the times daughter in laws have the husbands suffering with a serious non curable disease called "Parents advice seeking Husband".Wife who feel s that her husband(sapnoon ka Rajkumar😆 )is born just for herself, does;nt worry much about the origins of that creature called husband😆.Those type of people feel good advice also as an order!!

But at the same time it sounds silly if Mommy is botherd about the driving,menu in the hotel ,film the son watches when son is going with the daughter in law!!

At the same time,Respect to parents should'nt be a hindrance to our individuality and subsequently it should'nt have illeffects on our life partners!

Everything depends on "Management"😉

I brought my child to this world for my selfish reasons and that is I wanted a child. I don't seem to remember my daughter pleading me to bring her to this world. I don't own my daughter and once she has the sense and sensibility to make her decisions then I should respect that.

There is one thing in abundant and that is advice. Anyone and everyone gives it free of cost😳.

Parents/Orders/Advice.... I think parents are the only people who have unselfish love for the kids and always happy to see their kids reaching highths heigher than them. Yes agree initially parents do order kids but after a while I think it automatically turns into advice, which depends on maturity not on age. Every kid is different so you can't set any age for all this.

Parents have experience and always think the best for kids so what they say should be think twice by kids. I think in general until age of 12-13 it should be orders and after that is should be combination and gradually going towards advice. Agree sometimes their thinking/experiences could be different and may not apply to current conditions of child current circumstances so may be after certain age kids should evaluate the things and if they think differently they should talk it out to parents and if you talk to them nicely they will definitely understand kid's point of view and many times after discussion you may find out that may be kids were not correct either ... so it's always good to talk it out to your well wishers even if they differ with you (in this case parents as they are always your well wisher from their heart).

Once your are 18 its becomes advice in the US...

In india its a lifetime....before an order becomes an advice...unless you decide to dump your parents and part ways... 😊

I think by the age of 18 the connection between the two ears is completely established and information flows thru without any issues 😉
