Previously on Vansh Katha
Manav and Dharm try to talk to Kaveri about handing over the keys but she refuses to do so. Meanwhile Bindiya and Nithika have made arrangements for a party at which they plan to make Kaveri give them the keys. Vansh manages to convince Poornima that Kaveri is against Nithika and Raket is making his way to the same party to declare his undying love for Nithika.
Vansh Katha – Episode Thirty Five
Guests have arrived at the party and it seems to be kicking off in all its glory. Bindiya and Nithika look happy on the arms of their husbands although Manav is still refusing to talk to Dharm. Nithika makes her way to Charith…
Nithika: Dad, we organized this party because we are really happy about the decision you made and we really believe that we can bring this family together.
Charith: I have faith in you girls.
Nithika: But there is another reason. We would like to relieve mummy ji of her responsibilities of the house and since Bindiya Bhabi is rightfully the older bahu of this house we think that she should be in charge of the keys from now on.
Charith: But…
Nithika: Please dad… This is the first thing that Manav and Dharm Bhaiyya have agreed on in a long time and we think that it could be a start to fixing the bridge between them.
Charith: Alright then, what do you want me to do?
Nithika: We want you to make the announcement when the time is right.
Charith: Consider it done.
Nithika: Thanks dad. We knew we could count on you.
Meanwhile Raket is driving down to the party.
Raket: I will make myself heard one way or the other. I have to tell Nithika how much I love her. I didn't want to feel this way but I do now and I will tell her damn it.
And back at the party… Sidharth and Poornima arrive.
Kaveri: Hello, it's so good to see the two of you after all this time.
Sidharth: Good to see you too. Is Charith around?
Kaveri: He's over there.
Sidharth walks away leaving Poornima with Kaveri Devi.
Kaveri: How have you been Poornima?
Poornima: I've been alright actually. Will you excuse me?
Kaveri: Wait, we haven't even talked yet, there is so much catching up to do.
Poornima: I don't think so Kaveri Devi. Excuse me.
She walked away leaving Kaveri wondering about what was going on. Her thoughts were interrupted by Dharm who came to her side.
Dharm: Mom I'm so glad you changed your mind and decided to come to the party.
Kaveri: I'm here alright but I'm here because I want to see how my two bahus plan on getting me to give them my keys.
Dharm: Mom you have to stop being so childish about this whole thing. Let it go. It is time they took over the responsibility and you took some rest.
Kaveri: All I know is that I am capable enough of taking care of this house and I won't let anyone else tell me otherwise.
And at another part of the party Vansh is having a drink when suddenly he sees Tariksha walking in.
Vansh: What the hell is she doing here?
While at the same time…
Nithika: Tariksha I'm so glad you could make it.
Tariksha: I wouldn't have missed it for the world. You did say that it was an important occasion but I didn't know if it was someone's birthday or…
Nithika: Nothing like that. Just that it's an important occasion for this family.
Tariksha: I see.
Nithika: You enjoy the party and I'll be with you in just a bit.
Tariksha: Oh yea sure… I see someone I know.
Nithika left Tariksha and the latter walked over to Vansh.
Tariksha: Well hello there.
Vansh: What are you doing here?
Tariksha: I was invited.
Vansh: Remind me to check the guest list with Nithika before I come for one her parties in the future.
Tariksha: Oh Vansh I'm hurt.
Vansh: I'd prefer it if you could call me Anirudh like everyone else here does.
Tariksha: Wow, for someone who's planning the demise of a lot of people you seem pretty cautious.
Vansh: Listen Tariksha, you have no idea what my life has been like so don't even try to start with me ok.
Tariksha: Feisty creature aren't you?
Vansh: And you sound like someone who doesn't give up… ever!
Tariksha: Actually no I don't.
They are interrupted.
Bindiya: Anirudh I'm so glad you could make it.
Anirudh: Wouldn't miss it for the world.
Bindiya: Wonderful, enjoy yourself and I'll be right back.
She leaves them.
Tariksha: You were serious about that name thing weren't you? Let me guess, another ploy by my mother?
Vansh: Actually I came up with this one all on my own.
Tariksha: Give the boy a prize.
And Raket nears the party…
Raket: I have no idea as to what the hell I'm about to do but all I know is that I have to do it. I'm so sorry for what's about to happen Nithika but I have to be there tonight.
And back at the party, Charith takes center stage…
Charith: Friends it is an honor to have all of you in our midst today. It's a very important day for this household because my two bahus have proved to me that they are worthy of taking care of it. I would like to officially announce that as of today, this house will belong solely to my daughters-in-law Bindiya and Nithika Patel.
Sidharth and Poornima looked at each other as though they were pleased and Kaveri felt like she wanted to throw up. At the same time Dharm and Manav seemed to exchange a slight glance but quickly looked away from each other. Vansh smiled viciously and Tariksha watched him because she was standing right next to him and wondered where all of this was leading. Charith continued.
Charith: My wife and I have borne the responsibilities of this household for ages and now we are very proud to give this responsibility over to the next generation. Kaveri Devi, will you join me here please?
Kaveri was confused as to what was about to happen next. Nithika smirked from where she was standing and Bindiya felt a slight glow on her face. Kaveri walked up to her husband and as she stood next to him, he began to talk again.
Charith: I would like to now perform yet another tradition of this household by handing over the keys of this house to my older bahu Bindiya.
Kaveri felt herself going into static shock and she knew she was trapped. Bindiya walked up to them and stretched out her hand in Kaveri's direction. Vansh watched closely as with the greatest reluctance Kaveri took her keys out and handed it over to Bindiya. He applauded loud and others followed him.
Bindiya: Thank you mummy ji…
Kaveri had a flashback of Bindiya telling her that she would get the keys from her in front of audience. She was frothing inside.
Vansh smiled and turned aside for a minute when he saw Raket getting off his car. Suddenly alarmed, he pulled out his phone and headed to a corner where he called…
Devyani: Hello?
Vansh: Badi Ma we have a problem… Raket is here.
Devyani: Stop him from walking into that house.
Vansh: I hear you.
Vansh hung up and headed out. Meanwhile Charith received a call on his phone as well.
Charith: Hello? Hello?
He heard a muffled voice on the other line and couldn't pick anything up before the line went dead. Elsewhere, Tariksha was wondering where Vansh had rushed off to while the announcement period had ended inside and Kaveri decided to pull Bindiya aside.
Kaveri: When you came to me for help I promised to help you didn't I? Then what was all this about?
Bindiya: This was about fixing the biggest problem in this house mummy ji! This was about getting you to stop controlling everyone's life.
Kaveri: I do not control anyone's life!
Nithika walked in at that moment…
Nithika: Is that why you told my parents not to give me the job? Is that why you followed me around to find out who I was having dinner with? All this just because you wanted to create a bigger rift between Manav and me!!!
Kaveri: What nonsense! I wasn't trying to do anything of the sort! I was trying to save your marriage!!!
Bindiya: By pampering Manav and giving him everything he wanted???
Nithika: Get over it mummy ji. What's done is done. Bindiya Bhabi has the keys and we have the house, now all that's left for us to do is bring the brothers close together and you are not going to stand in our way.
The two of them walked out leaving Kaveri broken and alone.
Meanwhile… Charith gets another call…
Charith: Hello? Who is this? You're going to have to speak a bit louder I can't hear you!!!
The line goes dead.
And outside the house…
Vansh: Raket stop right there!!!
Raket: You have to let me go inside!
Vansh: What are you going to accomplish?
Raket: I have to tell Nithika that I love her!!!
Back in the mansion…
Charith: Damn it, who's trying to call me? Maybe the reception in here is bad!
He walks outside to check on his phone…
And outside…
Vansh: I am not going to let you destroy her marriage do you hear me?
Raket: I don't care what happens now! I love her and that's all I know.
Vansh: That may be all you know but I know a lot more! I know enough to tell you that she is trying to work things out with her husband and if you don't let her then you will have to deal with me!
Raket: How are you going to keep me from Nithika???
Vansh: I'll keep you from her any way I know how!
Raket: I love her and I know that she loves me!!!
Vansh: What the hell are you talking about? You've gone insane!
Raket: She was going to leave her husband for me!
Vansh: Raket are you feeling alright? You guys had one lousy dinner together how did you assume all of that the wrong way?
Raket: I'm not assuming anything, now get out of my way damn it!
At that moment, Vansh pulled out a gun and pointed it at Raket.
Raket: What the hell is this?
Vansh: This is how I plan on stopping you Raket. I won't let you get in the way of Nithika's marriage regardless of whether she loves you or not!
Raket: She and I belong together and you can't stop us!!!
Vansh: Wanna bet??? Move one step closer to this house and I will kill you!!!
Raket: Yea right!!!
He moved and Vansh fired a shot!!! It hit him in the chest and even though the sound of the gunshot was drowned by the music coming from inside, Raket Sarin fell dead on the grass! Unknown to Vansh however, Charith Patel had witnessed the entire scene. He hid in the shadows not wanting to reveal himself in fear of what might happen next. A moment later another car arrived and threw Raket's body in it before driving off. Vansh also gave the driver his gun before he turned around and walked back right into the party.
Charith: What just happened???
