Even MA was surprised that Jo had managed to blame Shareef...looks like Shareef's deeds are pretty wrapped-up...if MA doesn't have an inkling of this, I don't think anyone else will, hai na?
Also, look at it this way - if for every person raising a hand against his family he started making investigations - he'd come under fire from his own kin (also, the Mughals and Rajvanshis relations were strained - so he'll have to keep the balance right with his own people and give them the benefit of doubt!) Besides, this BIL has never given him reason to doubt anything. When a stranger (who seemed to have power-hungry aspirations) started blaming our family member, our first instinct would be to doubt the strangers of course!
I think second time around and he'd have looked into it...
He did hear Jo out without dismissing her instantly, but when even she had no proof to offer...Jalal had enough. Also, this is Amer (not Agra) and he might not be able to make a proper investigation. Since there's no proof and only hearsay with no documents - what investigation could Jalal do i.e. what could be yielded - eyewitnesses were the only go in 16th c even if he decided to do so!😕[P.S. Atgah khan seems to be a very poor investigator...Jalal needs better investigators...Jo can't keep resorting to nancy drew tactics all the while 😆]
Also, Jalal was ready to leave for Agra chup chaap...he also promised to arrange another alliance for Suks...it was Jo's lovely drama that swayed him...😆 '
My my' he thought to himself when he saw her put on that act 'If I return to Agra, I'm going to miss flirting/eyeing this fiery princess and her unpredictable mood-swings...I better stay back!'
