Also, look at it this way - if for every person raising a hand against his family he started making investigations - he'd come under fire from his own kin (also, the Mughals and Rajvanshis relations were strained - so he'll have to keep the balance right with his own people and give them the benefit of doubt!) Besides, this BIL has never given him reason to doubt anything. When a stranger (who seemed to have power-hungry aspirations) started blaming our family member, our first instinct would be to doubt the strangers of course!

I think second time around and he'd have looked into it...
He did hear Jo out without dismissing her instantly, but when even she had no proof to offer...Jalal had enough. Also, this is Amer (not Agra) and he might not be able to make a proper investigation. Since there's no proof and only hearsay with no documents - what investigation could Jalal do i.e. what could be yielded - eyewitnesses were the only go in 16th c even if he decided to do so!😕[P.S. Atgah khan seems to be a very poor investigator...Jalal needs better investigators...Jo can't keep resorting to nancy drew tactics all the while 😆]

Also, Jalal was ready to leave for Agra chup chaap...he also promised to arrange another alliance for Suks...it was Jo's lovely drama that swayed him...😆 '
My my' he thought to himself when he saw her put on that act 'If I return to Agra, I'm going to miss flirting/eyeing this fiery princess and her unpredictable mood-swings...I better stay back!'

@ blue...Exactly that !! Jodha pointing a finger at Cheapuddin & calling BB there should have at least stuck him as something out of the order. He outright rejected the claim...that does not befit a Shahenshah . Till Jodha put on her act, an honest one couched in diplomacy, Jalal was on the verge of leaving Amer.

They both used underhanded tactics. If he used omitted promises to win back his fort she used emotional blackmail which is just underhanded to trigger him to react. When she started crying just what did she think would happen? Just yesterday she said Jalal should not give back the fort but today I'm sure she was ok with that because thats why she cried and used that to get him to react. I think they both truly are in the same boat 😆

ok finally off to watch episode!

Edit: His sister has been widowed once and he assumes happily that she is happy with him. It would take an immense betrayal that he just cannot ignore to get him to react. Thats how he is. Like she is blind to everything Rajputani, he is blind to everything Mughal. That they destroyed the temple was the first time he heard something bad against mughals. Hopefully he will do something about the temple and then BB.
