Though this story doesn't resemble any historical facts other that Jodha and Akbar were married and made it work and was successful to give the Sultanate its heir but this stories created by you guys to add spice to the drama is nevertheless enticing.
CV's you are creating history of your own I guess. 😊
Today we saw progress of both of our protagonists in their characters. Essence remains the same and yet the growth is there and that is what I loved.
Jodha is learning to be diplomatic, she is getting first hand lessons from Maham about political behavior and attitude and how to even fool Shahensha and his whole family including Maham herself with her fake tears and asking for forgiveness from every one.
Jodha not even for once felt like that but she knew if she goes against Shahensha not only her relationship suffers but Amer will suffer as well. Mughals were way too powerful than Amer. So she took a stand of mellowing and bowing down in front of the Mughals to save Amer. Wonderful ploy Jodha! Yes she is learning 'siyasati daon pench'. Jalal had a skeptical look on his face and he was puzzled to see his 'baaghin' like that and couldn't grasp her motives and yet knew there was something more than meets the eye that is exactly what Jodha wanted. To win the battle with her tears and she stumped every one including Maham, Adham, Sharif and Jalal.
Very good move!
Same way Jalal played his game not through tears but with softness and forgiving attitude. I loved his plan. He is an emperor and nobody can pressure an emperor to get something that belongs to him. And that too with an condition to call off a marriage on demands of getting a fort. It will be a big lesson for the Dhawalgarh family. If Jalal had promised himself he would have given the fort but he hasn't and there is no reason for him to believe that Sharif lied, to him the Dhawalgarh people are lying and demanding something unjustly and under no circumstances he will bow down to their demands. But the stand he took today was only because of Jodha. She bowed down in front of his family and he did what he had to to get Sukanya married for which he came to Amer. So I can't blatantly point a finger at Jalal for betrayal or treachery. This was a political move which was based on familial backdrop.
But what I liked today was Both Jalal and Jodha knew and understood each other so perfectly and well. If Jalal was puzzled with Jodha's attitude then so was Jodha with Jalal's. She knew something was misfit and immediately she went to ask Jalal why did he do what he did. This shows the growth in their relationship, they understand each other well enough to gauge the other's reaction and reasoning. She knows Jalal is up to something but what exactly she doesn't know but one thing she is certain of is that Jalal doesn't bow down to unjust demands and no matter what he will not comply.
There will be a major showdown for sure between them when the news of the battle will come to the forefront and that will be another step taken forward in their relationship. She will understand how the brain of Shahensha works and that will be good for her to handle him in future.
What didn't sit well with me was Bakshi Bano's stabbing Jodha at the back. Not only she denied the truth in front of Jalal and I understood her reasoning when she told Jodha later on but she had to go and tell the whole family of what Jodha did. How will Maham know what happened if she didn't tell every one? I don't think Jalal did. Anyway hope this was another lesson for Jodha to learn, never to trust or believe any one in the Mughal family.
Overall a good story line and plot CV's. I will wait to see all the drama that will unfold later because of this scheme of Jalal and the effect of it on Jalal and Jodha's relationship.
