Chapter 193: Remembering a Dear Friend
I am trying to make this sound as diluted and less bitter as possible: We married because we had to, not because we wanted. Infact, the marriage was so suddenly decided that the bride came to know of it only minutes before the wedding ceremony. The respective elders were not even given a hint of its occurrence until the wedded couple presented themselves before them. The justification of the marriage is the result of a hard-headed one's thoughtless leap into taking things his way. If he had been sane and taken a moment to think, we could have avoided marrying each other. But no. Arrogant Lordy Lord and his blind rage always gets his ways! I would never think of wedding the man my dear friend had loved. I would never harm you so, Lady Lavanya, and you know it. You will remember of course that I only despised this man and yet we are now enemies wedded in an eternal trap of torture laid upon our very pride.
I like the way Khushi wrote the letter..the approach..!!
But I must confess, at times I surprisingly felt sad for him, for his plight for his coldness, believing they were masks behind which he hid his hurting self. You might remember the night I shared this thought with you, Lady Lavanya, for that night was the one and only night we slept together like friends in blood and sisters in bond.
Happy she is thinking over it...
It is strange, Lady Lavanya but now when I come to think of it, I fear I have mixed feelings for this man who has become my husband. I loathe him, yet I seek him. I desire to distance from him but find myself relentlessly drawn to him. I must be ill somewhere, certainly.
Of course khushi dear..your heart is ill...and disease is called Love!
Animal. That is what I'm trying to tell you. At times, particularly in the nights, it seems as though he is less of a human and more of an animal. I am scared of him, fearing that he will harm me though it may not be deliberately. Pray do not laugh when you read this absurd revelation but what I say is true and I say it with a serious face which you would have seen if you had been here. It is impossible by every feasible standards of our existence, but I know no other way to put this truth across to you. Have you never felt a sense of secretiveness in his deliberate distances? There is something ominous in the air of the Castle, so many mysteries related to the past of the Raizadas that I must get to the root of.
Glad she spoke about this to La atleast..few things that we cant tell to anyone but friend. And few matter can be shared with friends only.
@underline: I do laugh when she wrote not to laugh'... Khushi khushi..so what a friend is far away they get the seriousness & smell the problem even before mentioning..bec they are friends..!!
@Bold: I JUST LOVED IT!!
Pardon me if what I write offends you but I simply must tell someone. Lady Anjali is in her seventh month might be affected if told of my tales of woe, Jiji is busy managing both her husband and her mother-in-law and the kitchen duty as well and I wish not to worry her. And Nani...well, she is the most secretive of the lot and won't help me out if I were to offer her any hints. She seems bent on me finding things myself. Besides, she is lately pre-occupied in thoughts of her own. I wonder what they are.
This is just so perfect..nothing else to comment on it.
Khushi is writing out our minds I think!
I stray from my manners again. The reason I am writing this is not just to acquaint yourself with what is happening here alone but because I earnestly want to know how you are, if you have truly surpassed your ache and if you have heard from Master Aman again. He must be traveling always, trying to find the right trade and merchandise that will permit him to flourish. If you do keep in touch with him, do pass him my regards...and the bewildering news of Arhasia that you are now aware of.
Ohhh AMU &LA..though you are not present in epi but I felt your presence... I am in memory lane of good old days..missing you a lot!! A sweet kiss on your way!!
The training in whistling was in return for my silence of what I witnessed. Not that I would benefit in any way in learning the skill of a whistle but I've seen Lord Arnav whistle his horse to come to him and I thought the trick would come to handy to a Lady if it is for a Lord.
You never know Khushi..! wait& watch!!
A slight smirk lit his face. Certainly, it seemed that Browning knew such a girl would one day be born and had prophesied it in his poem.
Superb remark...!!
Without waiting to think, he rushed out of the library, raced across the dark corridor, down the stairs and towards his sister's room. He had barely reached the door when his own voice echoed from his memory...I never want to see your face again!
Very exciting & furious visualization I had... *thumbs up*
He hadn't notified the person in the distance, returning from the kitchen after an urgent conversation with Surabhi. Lady Anjali stared at the darkness where her brother had stood seconds ago, her eyes filling with happy tears as she whispered her uncontainable realization, "My Chotey...he's in love."
Journey of my lips over this line... Smirk- smile - Grin!!
Scripting ke kya kehne..!
The moment Lord Arnav stepped into his library, he stopped. He could feel her presence lingering in the memory of the room. He sat in his armchair before his massive desk and lit the candle, the dim light casting pale strokes over the articles in the dark room, the air of which hung in sad silence.
Thank for showing tiny-miny glimpse of JP's girlfriend...
Chapter 194: Where It Had Always Been
Sighing, she sat up, her gaze falling on the desk before her. She leant forward, took a quill, dipped it into the ink bottle the way she had seen him do it in the Industry. Then bringing the quill to hover over the parchment she let the drop of ink at the waiting tip of the quill slide to the parchment, staining the clean surface. She pressed the quill tip in the fallen blotch of ink and traced a line, curving it slightly and then, for the next few minutes, the quill's scratching on the parchment was the only sound in the room.
Wow... activaty of mind without thoughts or mind engrossed so much in particular thought that don't know what body is doing...
Did the poorly sketched man not look away from the window because he was too drawn to the sight outside it? Or was it because he was not brave enough to accept what stood behind him, watching him? She frowned scrutinizingly at the painting, her face moving closer to the parchment: was that man slightly turning his head, wanting to turn away from the window and gaze instead at the one behind him?
Fantastic... JUST FANTASTIC!!!
I have no words... I too use to do it..analyzing your own thoughts through different version & vision... thought over a causal stroke... Super IDEA linny!!
There was a parchment rolled within it and Kushi wondered if it would be wrong if she took a look. It's not like I am going to reveal its confidential contents to an enemy when I am the enemy myself!
Ha ha ha ha... wah kya khub kaha khushi!!!
Silent tears sprang up in her eyes as she stared at the painting, touched not by the familiarity of the face or by the perfection of the painting but by the mere truth that echoed in its presence in the drawer.
Master Hari's painting of Kushi dressed in the red silk robe.
I knew it.. I knew it... while reading the above para... Ooo My Lordy!! Muaahh!
"You kept it with you all this time...you hid me there in secret, unknown to all..."
I LOVE... LUUUV this line!!!
It was as though the impressions on the bed were calling to him...to see what was not there, for which he longed.
I'm floored... You are killing me linny...!!!
Scripting ke kya kehne...
P.S: I didnt like that you regret over content of that later..! Y O Y? May be my definition, meaning, depth of that one relationship, which we make by ourself, called friendship differs from the one you holds... and if it is the case i would never able to understand that one regretful sentence of yours!!
Chapter 195: The Basket, The Bottle and The Breach
Kushi cocked an eyebrow at Surabhi, "Would he now? It's been long since I saw him in one of his furious fits. It would be a delight to be treated with one, don't you think?"
Yeah.. go for it!!
Om Prakash looked up in shock and blinked, "Sire?"
I can see OP's shocked face... funny it is!
"Now leave," Lord Arnav's gaze was contending as was his voice threateningly low, "And I want to see a well-cleaned stable when I return."
@bold: Ppl used to change the topic to hide their emotions from other.. Good try Lordy!
"How Miss Kushi happens to get you to do things you were always not supportive of in the past?"
Be careful Lord Sky!!
"Don't you have something to do, Akash?" Lord Arnav tilted his head enquiringly, his eyes on the file in Lord Akash's hand before he looked again at the one who held it.
Ha ha ha ha... Lordy, man me bola hoga, kyu mere basket ke piche pade ho.. jao yahaan se *wink*
As she was munching the abruptly-tasteless peas, a new thought crossed her mind and she perked up to look at the head cook who was filling water into Kushi's wineglass, "Surabhi, tell me if I am wrong: if he had wanted to show me that he didn't appreciate the basket, he would have sent it to the Castle earlier as soon as he was made aware of the arrival of such a basket at the Industry. But instead, he brought the basket along with him when he returned to the Castle and handed it over to a servant to be taken to the kitchen. If he bothered to let the basket remain with him all day and see it fitting that it reach the Castle when he himself returned home...it means he must have eaten the contents within it. Don't you think?"
Good analysis khushi.. I like it!
SWEETENED CHOCOLATE LIQUOR
How romantic...!! Nazar na lage.. I shld say ab aur nazar na lage'
Kushi.
Her heart leapt.
Ohh you too heard his voice na... *thandi aahain*
Kushi walked into the room with the bottle held high and announced, "Behold what a certain someone kept on the library table for me!"
I so wanna hug khushi and kiss her forehead... I so feel her happiness!
"Honeybee!" exclaimed the white parrot from where he sat perched on the window sill.
Aaa hint for readers haan Linny..!!
Kushi winked at the white parrot and then her gaze fell on Nani, who was scowling at the parrot for frequently revealing the similes of her story.
Thank you so much fortune.
"Which is a rare pair," Nani pointed out, "Thoughtfulness and Arnavbitwa don't often cross paths."
Looolllzzz
She looked at the bottle, wondering if it was a weapon of his by which he intended to weaken her willpower and fall for him.
HEY BHAGGU...!!! *dhat teri ki*
She took a third swig, the silk smooth sweetness sliding down her insides, making her giddy with delight, No. This is no weapon. This is an enchantment.
Haaan Ab thik hain...
Poor Kushi. It is best we leave her to enjoy her drink now when she can in that sunlit room because, in a few hours, the darkness was about to bless her with an enticing encounter that was certain to prick her sturdy defenses.
Thinking cap on!!
She stepped backwards, fearing the moment, fearing the nearness, fearing her own desires...
Lovely...
The smell of the gentle smoke rising from the fallen candle-bowl filled the air before her but what staggered her was the even more overpowering scent of the masculine shadow that had come to stand behind her.
My heart froze!! Literally skipped a beat.
In desperation, she tried to move away, but even in the darkness, she could sense him towering before her, his hands shooting to her either side, palms pressed to the wall.
I just loved this position of them..!!
They could not see their faces but they knew they were looking at each other...
I m dying in this romance...!
In the darkness, his fantasies took hold of him.
How wonderful it would be to be that globe of saliva running down her tender throat...inside of her...
He leaned down, this time not for her hair.
Linny, Girl you are tickling all wrong wires of my heart, soul & Body..!!
Kushi snorted lightly, Confidence it was that killed the cat.
No, Lord Arnav sneered cleverly, it was curiosity that killed it, kitten.
Ankhon- Ankhon main...no it is do dhadkan ke bich... Super one linny... Rocking!!

Chapter 196: Around the Urgency to Visit the Village
"What is it, Jiji?" asked Kushi, closing her book, but not eagerly for she knew the advice was probably meant for her. And she abhorred advices.
Just like me...!!!
"Poieo-Eros?" Kushi was taken aback, unfamiliar to its substance, though knowing it was a topic forbidden to be talked among young girls.
What!!!! Who says so? Bring that Man in front of me who made that rule!!
"Well yes..." Payal struggled to string the right words, "Erm...like the way he touched you on the night of your wedding."
Haaayee... Mera Fav topic...
BESHARAM Soul... Ya that's me!
Kushi was staggered, "Night of the wedding?" She paled in the memory of her frightening first night, "Did Lord Akash also try to scare you?"
ROFL... LOLzz...
Khushi... You are the only one!
Kushi, panicked by Payal's horrified expression, tried to defend herself, "I don't even know what that requires of me!"
I can't control my laugh here... WHAT THAT REQUIRES OF ME'...really!! 🤣
Ohhh GOD!!
Khushi.. come here dear I give you some lesson... BUT REALLY?!!
"Yes, you idiot," Payal frowned at her, coming to stand before the bench where her perplexed sister was seated, "You entered into a marriage three weeks ago and you are still not his wife!"
Muuuaahhh... I just so loved payal's expression!!
"Jiji," Kushi held her sister's hands pleadingly, "Tell me what I have to do. Tell me what this...Poieo-Eros asks of me to do!"
Ohhh Come on... yeh kuch zyada ho raha hain haan khushi.
Payal was serious, "Well, it is not just the bride who should know what needs to be known. The groom should too. I am certain that by now Lord Arnav might know something about it...Unlike us girls, men already know about the Poieo-Eros somehow. It's something in their blood, I believe, to know everything and not have to be told. They just know...Lord Arnav would definitely know something...it's curious, though, why he hasn't taken the initiative where you are ignorant."
Mujhe bahot kuch likhana hain... per tum sun nahi paogi linny *wink wink wink*
"Two?" Lord Arnav looked up, his gaze unfeeling, "Why just two? Let's make it twenty. What say, Akash?"
How mean n rude..!!
Lady Manorama lifted her head proudly, "The topic had changed into an analysis of Arnavbitwa's faithlessness for rituals so I was only steering it back to the question of the village visit."
Yeah yeah.. very good way to steering it back.. dhuh..!!
"I prefer knowing them as much I already know," said Lord Arnav, "Some relationships are worthy kept at distances."
Hmmm... Linny's lesson for life..!
"Because I detest even the idea of living in Villages, all close-knit and congested, poverty-stricken and unclean. There are no servants and there is no etiquette. Where there is order and discipline and wider privacy, there alone will Lord Arnav Singh Raizada remain. Akash may be able to condescend low enough to sleep on haystacks and eat without forks and knives, but I can't. And that is that."
Angraz (British) chale gaye Lordy chod gaye...! *No offence*
He swallowed soundlessly. She had heard it all.
Ab pachtaye kya hoye, jab chidiya chug gayi khet!!
Selfish brute! Tears stung in her eyes, Villages are ten times cleaner than your blackened heart! You cannot always have things working your way! Its time you learn a lesson.
BRAVO...!! Super ending..!!
From many days, best dialogue award is not given na..!!
Here it goes to Nani...!!
"Lame statements like always," Nani mumbled angrily, "You are hollow inside, Chotey, and the words that come out of your mouth are empty too."
I didnt understand below two lines earlier.. but coming back after reading whole update.. i think i got it a bit atleast...
The coveted day was almost very near when a most unfortunate truth came upon Kushi's knowledge.P.S Thank you for The Poieo-Eros' word... a new code word between me & my friends *wink*
Chapter 197: Bitter Battles
Smoke from fired canons and blasted barriers swirled in the air and the sounds of clashing swords and dying grunts rang about.
Wow... What a start!!
The East lands rang with the sounds of battle into the third day and the bleary sun could not shine through the smog. But from within that white smoke rode a mighty horse and its relentless rider, his sword lifted in ruthless ride.
Wwooohooo... as he his appearing after so many days..these is perfect entry of a soldier..!!
By some strange incursion of the smoke around him, the General saw the enemy's pale face distort into a woman's.
Interesting... Very interesting!!
The General was distracted and, hence, late to react, but Lightning, sensing the vulnerability of the moment, neighed aloud in warning and lifted her forelegs to shield the sword's approach towards her Master's heart.
Super gesture Lightning... Love love love!
And like the way Gen shout her name... it shows his concern & love for her!!
But he was certain that with time, it could be mended. However, there rose the issue: He could not take care of Lightning or wait for her to get cured when in the battlefield. He would have to go home...
@Bold: Highlighted for certain someone!!
However, a cure he knew he would no longer have.
Not sure why but I smiled here and sympathized too..!!
"It's alright," he comforted her, "Hold a while longer and the pain will go."
Saying to whom Gen!!!!?
It was either the heat of the day or how fogged his disturbed mind was but he thought he saw a little girl materializing before him, the same one that had haunted him many nights.
Ohhh my spooky girl.. I was missing you!!
The General stared at her and suddenly the girl's ominous hand touched where the horse was wounded and Lightning whimpered painfully.
She is threatening Gen by giving direct or indirect pain to his loved/near ones... 1st it was Lady Jha's portrait thrown on floor & now lightning wounded leg..!
Lightning had calmed down the moment the girl vanished but the General was too shaken by what had happened. If it had only been a dream, how could Lightning have felt it too...
YOU ARE AMAZING LINNY...!!
The General gritted his teeth in anger, and frowned at the darkness, "If you are the one to be born to my wife, then cursed be you and hated be your birth! For you come only to bring torture upon me."
WHAT!! NO..no no no
Lightning grunted and watched her breath come out of her nose as white smoke. Finding it fascinating, she looked up to see if her Master had seen it too.
Such a cute scene...!!
She looked only at her Master. Her beloved Master who had always been there for her and for whom she was ready to lay her life.
If only he would look at me...the horse yearned.
Why m I having feeling that those men are going to shoot her...! And Gen knows it.
No don't!! I want my feeling to be wrong here...
"It's a horse that is inoperable, useless in battle. It will be a burden to feed it and take care of it when we know it can provide us no returns. In battlefields, we cannot make sympathetic choices. Only the fit survive."
How cruel...!!
"I've fought battles only with the Lightning. If Lightning cannot fight in battles any more, neither will I."
THIS IS CALLED RELATION OF HEARTS... BRAVO GEN.. BRAVO!!
"Lightning is more than a damned horse for me," asserted the General, looking sadly at his horse where she stood watching the inaudible conversation, "She is the only family I have..." The only one who understands me...
I wanna give you Hug, Gen... May i?
Smiling and with happy tears in his eyes, the General kissed her forehead, "I will never abandon you..."
I too wanna kiss that cutie cutie Horseyyy!
The General bid farewell to the other two men with a single nod, before turning about and walking away, his beloved horse limping confidently beside him, as the morning sun rose and shone down on the tired twosome, lifting their spirits in the freedom they obtained from resigning a world that wished to separate them.
Ooohhh... That was something...!
The whole scene of morning..through Lightning's eyes was awesomely written..
Touched Touched!!
So Gen... you are jobless now..!! Wonder what Lady Jha &Mylordy has to say on that!
Scripting... Aaah!!
How strange... perents of both, Lordy & Gen..
Gen hates fathers... pain raised memory of his mother while seeing one dying expression.. Lordy's pain of past too related to parents, where role of his mother & father still unknown to us.!!
Strange.. very Strange!!
Chapter 198: Angered by the Answer of Abstinence
He was storming about in his room, pacing up and down in a fury that was strong enough to bring the walls of his cabin down.
Grinning... loud!!
Kushi had not visited his room and his library for two days. She had so abstained herself in such a way that she even asked the maids to change his bedclothes and clean his room well every day that no scent of any sort would remain.' The obedient maids confessed the helpless truth when Lord Arnav asked them about this and, though the poor maids did not know, the First Lord knew well that it was Kushi's abject ploy to afflict him further.
Ha ha ha ha... Torture..!! WOOOHOOO Khushi! I LOVE IT!!
"If this is your answer to my decision of not going to the Village, fine. Suit yourself. But nothing will change my mind."
Aaahh... Yeah right..will change your heart!!
He was so used to having Kushi laying his clothes out and permitting her memory in his library and room, that a sudden vacuuming of the Kushi-ness in his day undid him entirely.
Ohhh I understand that very well!!
"I'm not hungry," decided Lord Arnav, "I need an early sleep."
Correction... I am not hungry for Food. *wink*
He punched at the pillow but it was not the pillow that needed punching.
Grinning... Ohh I so loving this very situation of his!!
In a swift move, he was out of the room, not bothering to put on his shirt, and rushing down the moonlit stairs.
I AM IN OFFICE LINNY... And I sigh..uuff.. bach gai kisi ne dekha nahi!
"Chotey?"
Ohhhoo..aap kyun uth gai... *Gritting teeth*
"This is me taking my wife with me."
Aaah it sounds so GOOD!!
Sighing, Lady Anjali shook her head at the door, "Oh dear! I fear what may ensue next. I certainly don't want to be in Chotey's place when Kushiji wakes up."
HA HA HA HA... Super..!!
He gazed down at her beautiful visage, running his eager fingers lightly over her face, along her eyebrows, the curve of her feminine jawline, down her nose, along her tempting lips...
STOP There... !! *take deep breath soul.. u r in office*
He gathered her to him, overcome by the moment that he almost felt like crying with joy.
"Kushi..." he lay on her chest, his ear pressed to her left breast, where he could hear her slow rhythmic heartbeat.
Muaah muaahh muaah..!!
He stiffened. Dang! Was she awake?
Felt like chori pakadi gai..vo bhi range haathon..!!
"Di...I really do miss him..."
Ohhh... Wake up khushi..you are letting out your secret!!
She felt his presence & scent and that's bring up all those words out..!!
He drew her closer to him and pressed his cheek against the top of her head, "I will never let go of you, Kushi. Never..."
Yeh baat kabhi vo jag rahi ho tab bhi bol diya karo...!!
If the bed could smile, it would have grinned, for at last the room felt complete as did the cold heart that owned it.
OR yeh Linny ka sixer...!!
Ohhh I am so so so Happy!!
