Wanted- an ASYA OS
Feedback wanted! :)

'I wanna call you mine; wanna hold your hand'forever.'

I heard the strums of the song, and turned the radio up. I mouthed the words along with Hunter Hayes. There was something about this song that made me want to bop my head and sing along. Getting lost in the song, I smiled. This song held so many memories for me. It played the first time we met, he sang it for me the first time went on a date, and since then, we had dubbed it 'our song'. As cheesy as it got, it was our song.

'And that was Wanted by Hunter Hayes; this song goes out to Zoya Farooqi dedicated by Asad Ahmed Khan.'

I let out a squeal as I was stopped at a red light.

I grabbed my hands free, and speed dialed him.

"Hello?" I head his husky voice on the other end.

"I heard the song!" I shrieked, unable to contain my excitement. He laughed on the other end.

"Just for you love! How far are you from the address?" I smiled.

"Just a couple minutes away! What are you doing here anyways?" I tried to get the surprise out of him.

"I'm not going to tell you, so stop trying!" I laughed; I had been trying to get it out of him since he gave me the address this morning.

"Alright, alright. I'm almost there, see you soon!" I hung up the phone and began following the beeping GPS instructions.

It was a Friday evening so the city was full in swing. Families out on dinner, couples on dates, it was truly the city that never slept. The city held a sweet spot for me, it was the city I was born and raised in. It was also partly because of the city, believe it or not that Asad and I had met.

I was the typical journalist for The New York Times, glasses, pencil buns and spilled coffee all over my drafts. I was sent out for an assignment to interview one of New York's top architects Asad Ahmed Khan who was building a future New York monument. I had never met, or seen a picture of Jake, so seeing this young man a year older than me, and as dreamy as any teenage girls dream, kinda caught me off guard. I tried my utmost to maintain professional during the interview and once it was over I breathed a sigh of relief. I quickly said my goodbyes and left his office. I was just on my way out, walking out of his receptionist's office when I had heard him behind me. Holding up my lucky pen, he walked toward me with a purpose.

"Miss. Farooqi, you forgot your pen, and I would absolutely love if you let me take you on a date tomorrow night."

Obviously I had said yes, and this is where we were today. A year and a half and we were still going strong.

The GPS beeped that I had reached the location. It was a tall building, with a man in a tuxedo standing outside. As I drove up to ask him if it was the right location he crossed the street and came to my window.

"Hello, my name is Max, and I will be your valet for the evening. Mr. Khan is waiting for you inside." My eyes popped out a little. A valet? I decided to play along and jumped out of my black Range Rover and smoothed my dress down. It was a black and flowery Zuhair Murad number that I absolutely had adored for months, but I had found it in a box next to the address with a simple note that told me to wear it tonight. To top it off my jet black hair was pin straight completing the look.

I walked up the stairs to the entrance of the building. A doorman was stood at the door. He pulled it open and gave me a tiny nod; I smiled in return and slipped through the glass door. It was a narrow hallway with an elevator at the end. I hesitantly followed the hallway and got into the elevator. There was an elevator operator inside who pressed 'roof' as soon as the doors had closed. I was beginning to get nervous. I searched my clutch for my phone to call Asad, but soon remembered that I had left it attached to the hands-free inside my car. I mentally cursed at myself.

The elevator came at a sudden halt, and the doors opened. I looked nervously over at the operator, and he sent me a reassuring smile. My 4-inch heels dragged me forward.

It was a beautiful rooftop. There were plants and flowers on either side of me, forming a walkway. As I approached the end of the walkway, I heard guitar strumming. I peered around the highest shrub and there was Asad. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, and holding a guitar in his hand. As soon as he saw me he let out a smile.

"Hey Babe." I looked at him with hesitant.

"What is all this?"

He set the guitar down beside him and came close to me. He leaned in and kissed my cheek and disappeared behind a tree. He came out holding two stools. He set one down in front of me, and one parallel to it. He grabbed the guitar and sat down and motioned me to the same. I sat down and looked at him.

Familiar strumming came through my ears.

"You know I'd fall apart without you

I don't know how you do what you do

'Cause everything that don't make sense about me

Makes sense when I'm with you"

At this point tears were pooling around my eyes.

"As good as you make me feel

I wanna make you feel better

Better than your fairy tales

Better than your best dreams

You're more than everything I need

You're all I ever wanted

All I ever wanted"

I realized he wasn't singing the whole song, but was singing my favourite parts. The tears were falling now.

"You'll always be wanted"

He ended off, and slowly got off his stool, set his guitar down and walked toward me. He pulled me up with a tug of my hand and smiled a crooked smile at me. I was still puzzled at what this was all about, but one gesture made me gasp.

He had gone down on one knee.

Something every girl dreams of.

I cupped my hands around my mouth and looked him in the eyes.

"Zoya Farooqi, I have loved you since the moment you walked into my office all flustered and blushy. I have loved you through the tough times, and through the beautiful. You are my other half, and there is just no other way to put it. Will you do the honor to become my partner in crime?" I let out a watery smile at his cheesy line, as he pulled a velvet box out of his pocket and opened it up. It was a beautiful ring.

I looked down at him and smiled.

"I love you Asad Ahmed Khan, and yes." He smiled and placed the ring on my ring finger where it would stay forever.
