The Story So Far...

Viewers saw how Kumud is ordered to go through an agnipariksha for apparently having spent a night with Saras, but the lady having seen the true colors of her sadistic and abusive husband, asks him go to hell. The cops come and take Pramad into custody. Not surprisingly, Pramad's mom begs Kumud to take the case back and she agrees on the condition that Pramad gives her a quick divorce.

Pramad denies Kumud the divorce
Everyone thinks it's for the best and is happy that the whole drama is finally sorted. But...it's not really that simple! Pramad decides not to let Kumud go off to lightly and refuses to sign the divorce papers. On the contrary, he is determined to take revenge for his insult. He vows to make life hell for her and see to it that she is completely destroyed. The spirited Kumud accepts his challenge, which infuriates him further!

Pramad spins new web
Arrrghhh...the levels men can stoop to take revenge, especially the kinds of Pramad who are already brimming with vices! He has promised to destroy Vidyachatur's family and to make sure that Kumud does not stand on her two feet again. With this agenda in mind, he and his partner in crime, Kalika start plotting and planning to ruin them. He first sets their factory on fire and then tries to sabotage their consignment of samples. Unfortunately for him, Saras has understood his conniving, devious mind, so he cleverly switches the box. Pramad is furious when he learns that he has been beaten at his own game and takes out is fury on Kalika.

Kumud wants to start high school in Saraswati's name
After Kumud finds out that Saras has sold of the land bought in his mom's name to save their ancestral house, she makes up her mind to fulfil his dream and start a high school in Saraswati's name. Saras gives the token advance to purchase the land to build the high school. Meanwhile, Pramad plays dirty once again by offering the dealer more money and grabbing the land. Not to be cowed down so easily, Kumud defies him saying that they will buy the land by paying more and dares him to divorce her, if she is successful in performing bhoomi poojan for the high school.

Sumud (Saras& Kumud) convinces the villagers of Ratnanagari to make donations, collect the money and purchase the land from the dealer. As soon as the news reaches Pramad's ears, to create further problems for Sumud, he along with Kalika plan to bring a Nautanki group to perform a drama right in front of the land. In order to beat Pramad at his game, Sumud decide to enact a devotional show... the Meera kath to counter it. A frustrated Pramad dares Kumud to get a bigger audience than the Nautanki group and if she is successful promises to give her freedom.

Tit for tat
The Nautanki group attracts more villagers, but then Danny (Saras' younger brother) decides to pay Pramad in his own coin. He asks the kids to break the mic's connection. Ooh... la.la!! Soon all the villagers start streaming towards Meera's katha. So, after all the hurdles, bhoomi pujan is done. Kumud won the challenge between her and hubby dearest and as promised Kalika hands over Pramad's divorce papers.

Kusum kidnapped
Though officially Ms Desai now, Kumud is uneasy and sure this defeat will not go down well with Pramad. And she is right... to get back at Kumud, he hires goons to teach her a lesson. He gives them her description and informs the gundas that Kumud wears a kamarband (waist jewellery). As fate would have it, Kumud gifts her kamarband to her younger sis (Kusum) for her stupendous performance in the play. So what do we have... in a case of mistaken identity the hoodlums kidnap Kusum thinking she is Kumud!

Kumud is finally free from the clutches of Pramad, but will he let her go in peace? Will there be more hurdles on the horizon? Will, Saras once again play savior and rescue Kusum in time? Will destiny finally unite Sumud or are there more thorns strewn in their paths? Wait for more updates!
