episode 25th October 2013
it is always better to take decisions for future thinking dharma rather than for selfish reason. if u take decisions for securing dharma , the future will be secured automatically.

I normally don't comment here, but I found the lesson of Monday rather jarring, to say the least.

Krishna, as depicted here, implied that since Pandu had committed a killing, he deserved to die, despite his remorse. This would be correct had Pandu committed a wilful murder. Something like Duryodhan's attempt to kill Bhima. But what Pandu did, while tragic, was an accident, and Pandu punished himself for it, first by renouncing the throne, and then living a life of renunciation. He would have been perfectly happy to go to swargalok directly, except that it wasn't allowed for anybody who had no offspring.

Essentially, Krishna's message was that if someone killed, the just punishment for that was death. But it totally avoided the question of whether the killing was wilfully malicious, or unknowing & accidental. Pandu had no intention nor desire to kill Rishi Kindama & his girlfriend, so I found it rather jarring that this Krishna (since the original Krishna never opined on whether Rishi Kindama's curse was justified or not) justified his death, and made his repentance a complete side note to other things

he gives message on basis of incident to be applied to the present situation , does not tell what happened was rite /wrong n who is correct /wrong in that situation, ultimately leaves us to think the same situation in different way before judging the things only based on our pov.

for eg pandu did so much of remorse , n he was gud at heart . anyone would have expected that he should be freed from curse by now which he got for accidental death of that rishi.

but wat was mistake of pandu - killing the two people ? no he is king n Kshatriya he can't be so careless n overconfident while using weapons, due to his actions two innocent people lost life.

wat punishment he got - that wenever he will come close to his wife he will get closer to his death n die.

so his punishment was he will be life long deprived of physical relationship with his wife , , which he had to suffer in this life.

wid remorse n by doing tyaag he made himself stronger to bear it.

but this does not reverse the curse , he has to complete the punishment . his slightest weakness for few min gave opportunity to death to take away his life.

this is the angle krishna expected to see us , he does not say pandu should have died or pandu killed rishi intentionally

all he says wen u commit mistake , n if u r given certain amount of punishment u have to face it , its u r prarabdha /fate due to ur karma.

wen u do remorse along wid it , n gud karma , the intensity of punishment , pain suffered due to punishment gets lessen as during this process we are already strong to face it.
