Holi celebrations are in full swing at the Suri residence. Apart from the Suris and the Walias, many of the Gulmohur staff as well as the Oberoi clan are also present.
The fun kicks off with Jassi putting a small teeka of gulal on Bebe, Amrit, Billu, Puru, Ila and Uma….and not to forget Ashish. Karishma, Nikki and Vedika take to each other immediately, using their pichkaris to great effect and smearing the onlookers as well as each other with gulal.
Raj and Armaan seem to be having a whale of a time, as they celebrate Holi together after years. They hug, pour colour on each other, get high on thandai, and basically behave like a couple of overgrown schoolboys. Jassi and Neha watch them in amusement.
Jassi: Neha, tum holi nahin khel rahi?
Neha: (sighing) Nahin Jassi……jab se Anuj ki death hui hai, tab se maine Holi nahin kheli….
Jassi: Lekin Neha….Anuj ko gaye hue 2 saal ho chuke hai…..main tumhari feelings samajh sakti hu….par tum tab tak rangon se khud ko chhupati rahogi?
Neha looks quizzically at her. Jassi picks up a pinch of gulal and explains the significance of Holi to her: that it is a festival, not just of colour, but of spring, of life, of new experiences…..of letting go of old hurts and embracing life in all its dazzling variety….of bonding with people without saying a word, with just a dash of colour.😊
Jassi: (glancing towards Raj) Khushiyan tumhe bula rahi hai Neha…..bas ab yeh tumhare upar hai, ki tum kab aage badh kar, inke rang mein khud ko rang leti ho……
She is interrupted by Raj and Armaan, who rush towards them with unearthly yells. Jassi exclaims, "Kya hua?"
Armaan: Kya hua? Holi ka din hai aur tum abhi tak bachi hui ho…..and you're asking me ki kya hua…?
He takes her hand and drags her into the crowd of revelers. Ignoring her protests, he smears a handful of red colour on her (a lot of it goes into her maang😉) and then picks up his pichkari, with a mischievous look.😳
Jassi: (squealing) Armaaaaaan……nooooo!!
Armu simply comes closer and sprays her with colour. She runs off, but he refuses to let up and chases her, his pichkari still aimed at her.
Raj and Neha are left staring somewhat awkwardly at each other. Raj has gulal clenched in his left hand, but now he seems quite at a loss about what to do with it. It is Neha who comes to his rescue. She comes forward and says softly, "Happy Holi, Raj!"
His face relaxes into a grin. As Neha blushes a little, he whispers, "Happy Holi" and gently runs the gulal over her cheeks. 👏
Angel, Chaman, Nandu and Beauty have formed—surprise, surprise😛!—an awesome foursome, having the time of their lives splashing colour on anyone who comes within their range. Angel has let go of her usual snootiness and seems to be having the most fun. Even Puru and Ila can restrain themselves no longer and join in. Amrit looks pleadingly at Billu, who tries his best to look forbidding. But a glare from Bebe quells him and he meekly leads Amrit into the festivities, where he soon forgets that he ever had reservations about joining in. The irrepressible Bebe also mingles freely, greeting guests and getting coloured in the process. 😃
Maddy and Meghna are leaning on each other's shoulders, all soaked and high.
Maddy: Megs…..you know what….
Meghna: Umm..?
Maddy: Mujhe aaj bahut inspiring ideas aa rahe hai….you know, all this riot of colours…..mujhe lag raha hai ki mujhe ek Holi collection design karni chahiye….
Meg: Maddy! Aaj holiday hai…..H-O-L-I-D-A-Y….got it? At least aaj toh kaam ki baat mat karo….let's have a ball!
Maddy: Megs, sweetie….you are my best friend….
Meghna: You too, Mads….you are also my best friend……
Just then Jaggy B passes by, tagging on to Pari. Meg is still saying, "You are my be-sttt……." when she looks around and realizes that Maddy has left…..he is busy chasing Jaggy.😕😆
Armaan finally manages to catch hold of Jassi. Picking up a glass of bhang, he implores her, "Jassi, isse piyo…..you'll feel very relaxed…."
Jassi: (pushing it away) Noooo Armaan….tum jaante ho ki isme nasha hai…!
Armu: Awww come on Jassi….nasha kahaan nahin hai…..tumari aankhon mein….tumhari baton mein….hamare pyaar mein…..toh isme thoda-sa aur add karne mein kya jaata hai..?😳
Jassi blushes, but still pushes him away and walks off. Raj stops in front of her, carrying a plate of gujiyas. "Jassi…..gujiya lo..?" he requests with his most innocent face. The unsuspecting Jassi smiles and thanks him, picking up the gujiya from the plate. Unseen by her, Raj winks at Armaan, who struggles to hide his grin.
As Jassi walks off into the crowd eating her gujiya, Raj goes over to Armu and whispers, "Iss plate mein jitni gujiya hai, sabme maine bhang mila di hai…Ab aayega mazaa!" 😈
