Hi sweeties...today's episode was a delight and had to do this...so, I analyse and dedicate this to Suvarna - my star!🤗
COURT
Shareef's sly play was a dangerous one - this time around his ploy has temporarily worked, but he has exhausted his lifelines. He can't use this tactic (or any such tactics) again!
Watching the unfolding events in court, Jo's eyes grow wide and wider and widest till Jalal finally goes 'BAS!' he taps his sword on its stand 'YOU'RE raising YOUR hand against those people whose hands have only risen in prayer for me!' he screams
Still seated like a lion on his throne, the enraged king continues with conviction 'I don't know who promised you what, but I promised MY Jodha Begum that I shall not let any discordance take over this occassion! Therefore don't instigate me...' [Awww]
Following it, he stood up and everyone else instantly followed suit! [I loved it!😛]
'I have made up my mind that I shall not give up the Ratanpur Qila!' Jalal finally announces to the crowd who were awaiting his decision with bated breath!
[How happy was I to hear those words - that he was still the very Shehenshah that I fell in love with - the man who can think with his heart AND with his head depending on the situation - that he didn't take a decision straining his empire for the sake of keeping a few people happy! Also, in a weird way its a slap on the dowry demanders - I know I know - I do understand its 16th c, YET!]
Having proclaimed this, Jalal casts a grim glance in Jodha's direction - knowing his decision was going to trouble her family - and then walks away!
JODHA AND AMERIS
Jodha found her sensibilities today and I am proud of this girl like none other today! She was the only one who could see the entire picture - from all sides [Even Jalal didn't]!
One one hand while she didn't doubt Wajinder's family, she knew her Shehenshah too. [Oh how we've all been dying to see this day😳There, Shehenshah announces in the court about 'My JO Begum' and here she shows such confidence in him!]
Today, we got to hear all the good deeds that Jalal has carried out ever since his departure from Agra - ones that even we'd forgotten Jo remembered! [Must be the effect of the Vichitra sounds I tell ya!]She really spoke like a true queen today - not like an Ameri daughter or a Mughal Begum. She was neutral
'Shehenshah wanted this wedding to go ahead wholeheartedly...he invested all efforts personally...I don't doubt his intentions at all...' she told her family members in that chamber
'The fort belongs to Shehenshah - how can that be considered as an Ameri property - how can Sukanya's in-laws demand for this?'
Not only was she intelligent in this scene, but righteous, dignified and courageous too!
'Purely because of Shareefuddin's false promises, how can we expect the Shehenshah to part with his prized possession...why should we expect him to give up his rights...What greater 'daan' than the 'kanya' itself! The in-laws are acting like this is all a transaction and not a wedding...if he wants the fort, let him fight the Shehenshah in war and win it' she summed
'Not only the Rajvanshis, even the Shehenshah himself has been cheated' Jodha continues arguing with her brothers 'If Shehenshah claims that he hasn't given his word, it means HE HASN'T GIVEN HIS WORD! In this decision I am with Shehenshah!'
[After sitting back dumbstruck for a few minutes, I then delved upon this scene at leisure. If only, Jalal'd heard what his lil 'ghrina' Begum had to say about him.
No doubt, the small part feminist in me was whistling during this scene! Firstly, her stance against dowry. Even if we keep in mind the era and the prevalence/acceptance of dowry then, it makes sense - seeing how Jo was quite happy initially when the numerous gifts Bharmal was presenting was being read out. Its only during their unreasonable demands that her anger was incited.
Secondly, her confidence in her husband - not only as a just man - but, as a warrior too! If not, she'd not have spoken about the 'war' challenge.
Thirdly, her unabated confidence while standing against her own family for her husband. This is not the first time she's stood against members of her family - her wedding at first and later the post-suicide attempt dilemma. However, this was the first time she stood against them for HIM. She was confident Jalal was more righteous than her own family- and that has to be the biggest turning point today!]
I didn't like the fact that the generally-just Bharmal failed to follow his daughter's footsteps and kept hopes alive of Shehenshah's-change-in-decision. However, we must realize that Mainawati's dilemma is also realistic. Unfortunately, Sukanya's future (ever from the beginning of this serial) has been somehow shaped or affected because of Jodha's life! Hope a positive outcome comes out of all this soon enough!

MP, I might have ridiculed your dialogue delivery - but have always praised the content! Today you proved to be Jo's cousin in more than just pravachans - you shared the same stance as Jo! I loved your decision of NOT supporting Wajinder's family at any cost!
MOTHI DARLING AND HER SANDESH
I missed you so Mothi and loved your Sandesh too (different storyline, spectacle to watch - for a change)! Thanks to you, we got to see Jo in a different avtaar too. Divine she looked - like Sita Mata in that peachy ascetic like ghagra!
JO-WAJINDER
Though the scene between Jodha and Wajinder was the least realistic/plausible of today, I can imagine that this scene was possibly the easiest/quickest method for us and Jo to learn about the nature of this young prince who was constantly shushed by his useless dad!
Soon after - our clever lil Nancy Drew recalls all past conversations and expressions of Shareefuddin...and sums everything up beautifully - without a fault!
I'm sure none of us expect Jo to be so smart, witty, righteous & dignified all the time...However, we wish CVs made her a little more consistent to her character and gave her better sensibilities/dialogues like they did today (instead of what they've made her say a few episodes ago!) PS delivers it all to a T!
What a treat her 'queenly' behaviour was today! She was the Star - for me! ⭐️

One thing - Since Jo's overheard Shareef and Adham's intentions at least, we know she'll not mistake Jalal even if I'm quite sure Ja-Jo are going to have ego squabbles!
