What I like: The music (this is what keeps me hooked!), Krishna's teachings, the direction, the special effects, the casting

What I don't Like: The over dramatisation of some bits, and the cheesiness in some dialogues!

I am so glad that finally there is post where I can let out what I feel about the show so thank you topic maker!!!

What works for me:
The depiction, and the actors that are chosen for their parts seems to work perfectly! Also adding the "Geeta Saar" and connecting the dots has made it a very interesting watch. Also the authentic use of the Sanskrit Shloks seem to be ringing melody in the ears. Next the humanization of every character is something I'd like to applaud. Mahabharata is nothing but the play of human emotions and ambitions and the makers have hit the correct notch in this particular portrayal!
What doesn't work for me:
Well for me the minuses have increased of the late for me. Like the music it doesn't come across as subtle but is very loud! Apart from the Lord Krishna's soliloquy scenes I don't find the music reminiscing the bygone era. It at times sound too modern. Next I really have issues with the dialogues. At times its too cheesy and its not even pure Hindi. CV's use a lot of Urdu derivatives while writing the dialogues. Words like 'ruko', 'samachar' etc are not Sanskrit but Urdu derivatives. Also the makers are not paying attention to small details such as the dressing up of female characters. Sringar is considered as an important 'rasa' and time and again it has been stated the same. I was shocked to see Kunti, Madri and Gandhari in some sences sans the proper 'sringar'. Hathphool, bajuband and kada these were considered mandatory for married ladies as these were significant in telling that lady is marked by someone. All the three queens never don either of these. Forget hathphool they rarely seem to be wearing rings! And then over dramatization of certain scenes look irritating and monotonous!
I remember I had been bawled over by the first episode! That was perfect with makers incorporating every details in it. I am still waiting for that perfection to be back! These glitches are but few so I am confidant that it can eroded before it does damage to the epic-ness they are trying to create!

@Meself
Your are welcome dear...its always interesting to know each others point of view😃

I never paid attention to the shringar of the queens...actly i don't even know many details about Shringar...but after reading your comment i will observe it...u know one of my friend had mentioned that the jewelry and appearance of the characters is much modern than what is should be ...may be in an attempt to make them appear royal and grand...designers have lost touch to periodic saaj and shringar

What I like about Mahabharat is everything right from the great heroes to stories of bravery to smartness of the heroes to protection of dharm to sacrifices of women their power their dominance to their intelligence and the mysticism attached with that era and civilization of those times The kaal of that civilization keeps me in awe of the great Mahabharat, the sages morals and teachings etc everything I love.

What I like about this Mahabharat is nothing except for Shri Krishn ji's beautiful awesome scenes, his darshan, his mystic beautiful smile and all the bright colored motion pictures behind him. I loved scenes of bhagwan Parshuram ji. I liked initial scenes of Shakuni but then he lost his charm 😔 was looking forward some brilliant performance from him. I liked yesterday's Ved Vyas ji's scenes. The way he was sowing gandhari's seeds into matkas. oh yes I loved the scene where Suryadev gave a son to Kunti and also yesterday Vayu Dev gave her Bheem. The feeling was awesome watching Devtas giving darshan to Kunti 😆

thats about it.
