When Shiv touched Anandhi it reminds her moments with Jagya, she took time to move ahead. And When she married Shiv she was not in love with him. Here Jagan love each other Jagya's touch didnt remind her Ratan. Then y shud she feel awkward. OMG now I feel people who argue about Jagan moments before marriage are better but this is really absurd.

If u say anyhting against Anandi they disagree and gives u explanation .For what ?When u are raising question abt ganga and we are replying u don't agree.Then why should be agree with what u say

Totally agree with this. The Singh's did play an important role in making Ganga so attached to them. This is a lesson learnt! Next time when i help victims , i'll be careful not to shower extraordinary love on them and see that i DON'T make them a part of my family. If i do that i should be ready to make them a part of my home too. If my stars are good and if i fortunately find an extremely dignified victim, she may just take my love to heart and show some respect by knowing her limits. But if i find a victim like Ganga, they would sit on my head, turn greedy for more and would want to feel this love and protection for ever! This might end up breaking my family like in the Singh's case😭. Never treat a victim like ganga as a member of your family if you aren't ready to make her a part of your home FOREVER!

Love this post. The voice of reason! Perhaps the CVs too wanted to convey this message, that being too considerate towards victims will harm the benefactor's family - the gullible Singhs lost their peace of mind, respect and and their son to a stranger woman to whom they had given refuge.

I will call Ganga -Practical- being practical is not bad- but too much practical is also not good-

So true, agree with every one of the points above. Also how Ganga casually took over the haveli kitchen and did not stop even after Sumitra openly expressed her resentment. And the way she referred to her son with the evil Ratan Singh as Jagdish's son in Sumitra's hearing.

Sometimes it seems that Ganga's character is inconsistent as she preaches high ideals but her actions contradict her statements. Sometimes it seems that the CVs had sketched her like that - as a woman who had known no love and hence mistook charity for love, and clung to her benefactors for emotional support and creature comforts making herself thoroughly at home in the haveli, even though she was openly resented and told very clearly that she had overstayed her welcome. It seems like a caution, a message to the public - to be careful of whom you decide to shelter in your home. The CVs made Ganga a selfish woman who saw a good thing and went after it, and grabbed it when she got the opportunity, to hell with her other benefactors as long as she got married to the object of her infatuation.

I believe that the point which many members are trying to make is not of aukaat or limits of a poor woman, rather it is one of boundaries. Even a very rich person who oversteps his or her boundaries in another's house while staying there as a guest will soon become intolerable. This was Sumitra's issue - she resented the way Ganga presumed to take control of her kitchen and interfere in her intimate family affairs, which is quite natural.

It would have been wonderful if Ganga's character had been consistent from the scene in which she was introduced - a fiery, independent woman who refused to let her abusers break her spirit and who sought to create a new life for herself. If only they had shown her stay apart from the Singhs, become independent and then develop a very gradual attachment with Jagya. Two people with a troubled past of relationships slowly and gradually falling for each other. It would have been an interesting track and one in keeping with the realistic tone that this serial once had. But the CVs destroyed the track by making Ganga overstay her welcome with the Singhs and bringing in Sanchi (a totally unwanted character) and BV fell irrevocably into a typical saas-bahu zone.
