TOI: Hiten focussing on films now

With the leap in Pavitra Rishta, Hiten Tejwaniwill be now playing grandfather and the focus will also shift to younger characters on the show.

Hiten will be no longer required to shoot for more than one episode on the show in a week. Hiten who is focussing on a film career and is also currently playing a college boy in Tere Ane Se says, "I am anchoring Savdhaan India and also done films in the past. Currently, the work that I am doing in the film is exciting since I am playing a younger college boy and had to look the part with a more toned and leaner look. Even if I am not thin I had to do gymming and reduce weight to look like a younger boy."

Ask him why his wife Gauri is not doing TV shows and he says, "Gauri has done a lot of TV before we had kids. Now with total focus on kids, I think she is interested in doing something only if it is substantial and exciting enough to make her divert time from family. If there is something good, she will definitely do it."

Hiten is not bored playing grandfather because he feels at the end of the day it is just another job that he has to perform to perfection.
