I'll go to Oscars for my films only!

Bipasha Basu leaves for London today for Vivek Agnihotri's soccer flick Goal. The actress who just returned from Durban where she shot for Cash, laughs, "I am the team medic.

It's the boys who play soccer and who have to put in the hard work."

The actress says she has lost more weight since her Race outdoor. "I had put on weight some time ago as I was in my holiday space. But during the Race outdoor we would all go to the gym together as everybody in the cast and unit was very health conscious. Saif fell ill after the outdoor but he's recovering well now. It was great fun shooting with all of them."

A lot has been said about the actress not being beside John at the Oscars but the actress is unperturbed, "I had my prior commitments. Much as I would have loved to go, I couldn't."

"It's fantastic that an Indian film has gone to the Oscars after Lagaan and made it to the top five.We should be proud of the fact that at such a young age John attended the Oscar ceremony. I don't know why people are dissecting and analyzing everything so much and why Water didn't win!"

Although she doesn't want to take names, it's pretty apparent that she's miffed with director Kunal Kohli's remark that Rang De Basanti would've been a better choice for the Oscars than Water.

Says Bipasha, "Every one has an opinion these days. People can be so negative for no reason. Instead of appreciating the fact that Water made it to the top five at the Oscars why are Indian filmmakers here intent on pulling it down? It's a beautiful film.

It's every actor's dream to attend the Oscars and walk the red carpet even though they might not admit it. I am not ashamed to say that I hope to attend it at some point in my career provided a film of mine gets selected."

Gracellaji the Oscars are a class act compared to Bollywood's Filmfare awards. At the Oscar's every actor is treated as an actor. There are no front row reserved seats for Spielberg, Coppola, Streep, Nicholasan, Redford, Newman, Clonney or what have you, or their family and house guests. All the accomplishments of the past years stays in the past. Each year's Oscar Awards is a fresh new page in the life of Hollywood! Life time achievement awards are given to people who are "truly deserving for their contributions, not for their connections, and their acceptance speeches are subject to the same time restrictions as every single award winner for that year."

Bollywood apes Hollywood...why not this egalitarian attitude as well?😕😕😕 Everything about all Bollywood Awards is as incomprehensible as the lyrics of Apache Indian's songs.
