And totally agree on his mediocre work recently, JTHJ was such a bore except for Heer 🥱

I can't comment on the lyrics since I am not south Indian (or Indian for that matter) but the break in flow of the song due to the changed lyrics is definitely noticeable when comparing the 2 versions. The dubbed versions are just weird, like the dubbed 90s songs were done well but the recent Hindi dubs like say Sivaji were bbaaaddd, and ruined the songs.

I am a kannada speaking South Indian and know tamil and Telugu fluently too and of course I know Hindi, it's fun to compare the lyrics in different languages 😆

Aish has three of my favorite soundtracks in here: HDDCS, Taal, Devdas. So, that is enough for me!
