yes the Shekhars have totally lost the plot, particularly Ira. The way she treats Anandi is just appalling. Even in yesterday's scene when the guy comes with a letter for Anandi, Ira is glaring at her; then the way she asks are you going to tell us or not, what the letter is about? Its just plain hostile and rude. And then to have the cheek to ask her whose side is she going to take in court? it is nothing short of abuse and intimidation and the idiot mama's boy Shiv is just sitting there like a lemon and not opening his mouth!
And i agree with you that on the one hand she insults the Sings and Jagiya and on the other she wants Sanchi and Jagiya to marry! In my opinion, even if there was in reality some misunderstanding between the families - and nothing like what has happened in the serial - no self respecting guy and his family would agree to a marriage after the appalling treatment and insults meted out to them by Ira. She has crossed all limits of decency. It is also clear that everyone in Ira's family - including her husband and Daddu - live in fear of her and that she rules the roost.
Thankfully in yesterday's episode and earlier in hospital, Bhairon and DS have witnessed the way Ira has treated Anandi in the presence of all. This should open their eyes as to what kind of family this is and they should try and put some sense in the stupid Sumitra's head!
