Anandi does not react till she witnesses her own people - particularly elders being humiliated. It's only then that she cannot take it anymore and bursts.

Just as she had silently brought Ganga's cake too on Jagya's birthday, lit the candles as everyone else looked on either in surprise or anger. But she did, what she felt was right and offered no explanations to anyone.

The difference is that when she noticed Sanchi there were no elders from Shekhar family around.

Like I said, she keeps silent for as long as possible when elders are involved. Here elders from Shekhar family were bashing DS and Bapusa. So she kept silent.

She used to keep silent and weep when DS used to insult Khajaan and Bhago too.
