Paridhi Sharma - She's here to stay - she's here to act!

She doesn't need to hide behind the veil of an entire layer of make-up in order to look beautiful

She doesn't care for presentation - she isn't bothered if her attire is pristine when executing emotional scenes...she's not the kind to straighten her hair after every shot or to ensure her nails are always well manicured and match the dress of the day! Why, she doesn't even seem to care if her veil is in place always and she doesn't seem to be bothered about competing to become the slimmest heroine of the day! However, she DOES know how to emote and act - and when she does, she does so with chutzpah!

Viewers are always more forgiving of flaws in male leads, while they expect women to be absolutely presentable in every frame (and still act well)...the few who don't succumb to such social pressures are those who've outshone others acting-wise be it Vidya Balan or Rani Mukherjee..be it Smitha Patil or Shabhana Azmi..these actresses have never bothered about the rules others have laid...they've followed their own paths and have plenty of accolades to show for it!

Paridhi might still have a few years/efforts to go to make it up to the league mentioned above..but, she does possess the hallmarks of a person who knows that she's here to act and not just look good..
Having said that, she's nothing short of divine when she does want to look good too!😛

lovely post.

Tis should especially read by the people who're saying that she's uncomfortable doing romantic scenes - Why would she say yes to a ROMANTIC show if she's uncomfortable doing romantic scenes? She's a brilliant actress and is very dedicated to her job. Please learn to differentiate between Jodha, the charcter and Paridhi, the actor.

Together PariJat rock! :*

I love the post. I really like Paridhi and I think she beautiful, elegant and lovely. Although, I don't think she is a particularly good actress, but that's just me.
And this post was necessary. While Jodha's character gets on our nerves, that is the beauty of her character. And we must not confuse Paridhi with Jodha. And the great thing is that I love how she is not, what you will call, the typically European-looking girl , but a classic Indian beauty. And I love that about her. I hate how India tends to prioritize a certain kinds of features, which makes most heroines look and appear the same. Bland. But Paridhi is different.

Thanks for mentioning Smitha Patil by the by. She is one of the finest actors India has ever seen. And her sheer talent can only be compared with Konkona SenSharma in our generation.

I thought no one would be able to match up to Aishwariya's Jodha, but Paridhi's Jodha did a marvelous job till now. She has always been flawless - she has the royal look - she is such an eye candy.

Love you Paridhi & love your post Lashy!

Wonderful post lashy..👍🏼.. Even though beginning she doesn't look exceptionally beautiful but acting wise good with putting sword against Jalaal before marriage...

After marriage, with her change in attair she looked so beautiful and also acting also good with ruku, maham, hamida, hypervathi and with Jalaal...The felt she is improving much more and I will say Ekta surely has choosed "Right Jodha"... ⭐️

Lashy, you hit the nail every time you post...what a lovely post!!!! I like paridhi...she is an Indian beauty...as Annie observed we have very few around...she is "jodha"...I still can't forget that guttural cry...or...the scene where she cradles his head...they were some very beautiful scenes...

I have always believed that as viewers we have full rights to criticise an actor's performance...however, it's always good not to confuse the actor with the character...ardent fans fear that her marital status is/can be a problem...their fears stem from the fact that such a thing has happened with some shows...yes, there are shows that have 'reportedly'(I am not yet sure)suffered beacuse of these reasons...but...let us not assume things and question someone's work ethics withouth proper proofs to back such damaging claims...it's unfair to the actor...in the show, how can jodha blush when all she is saying I wanna behead you...?I ghrina you...the character of jodha needs to evolve and it's advisable to wait before we pass judgements...

Sword fight, arti scene, rescue scene, shahi shadi saptah, jodha holding jalal's arm when she asks him to pardon moti Bai, jala-jodha conversation abt the poem, their meeting outside ambe mata temple, when he fails her suicide attempt, dargah scene are gems that this show should be proud of...charged, classy yet impactfull...

A show that will last for year and a half(keeping current trends in mind)...there will be times when we will not be happy with a certain track, a certain scene, a certain performance...we have all the rights to go hammer and tongs on the creative aspect...

If you have read my post I owe you a 'thank you' coz it's a really long one...😉
