Acting in a daily soap can be painful at times. And Rajshri Thakur aka Saloni in Saat Phere can vouch for it. The actress is having a terrible time coping with the heavy jewellery that she is required to wear in the show. Rajshri is made to wear heavy earrings that render her a traditional bahu look. But the heavy jewellery, especially her earrings have taken a toll on her ear lobes. Says Rajshri, "My ear lobes are very thin. Initially when my creative team decided upon this particular look, where I would be wearing heavy jewellery, I didn't realise what I was getting into. Not only are they heavy for my ears, the long earrings keep getting entangled in my tresses, which is quite irritating. I often find myself in pain and distress. Sometimes, I feel that my ear lobe will tear apart. Once I even had to go to a doctor to get ointments for the sore. Ever since, I have been using lighter earrings and I make sure to take them off when I am not shooting."

Says a source from the unit, "Since Saloni had to look different after marriage, we draped her in saris designed more like dupattas, brocade blouse and heavy jewellery to go with her image of a bahu from the royal family. But since Rajshri is having a tough time, we had to let her wear lighter stuff."

This is not all. Her straight-hair look is also giving her grief. "Although I have natural straight hair, still my hair dresser applies a lot of chemicals on my hair every day, which has completely damaged my hair. To maintain the continuity of my look, I have been strictly instructed not to tie up my hair in the show."

But has she spoken with the producers about her problem? "I have spoken to them and thankfully they are okay with light earrings that I am wearing these days," she says.

I don't think so.Its just to add glamour. Also who doesn't tie up their hair once in a while. Think they should allow that.
