Today is a world white cane day

white cane is a walking instrument for blinds to move freely & independently & detect obstacles in their way

World blind union celebrates this day on 15 th OCT each year...

The great poet, John Milton wrote his best works when he was blind! When your eyes don't work, God compensates by enhancing your other faculties! More power to the blind and more success to the eye transplant movement! Great post!

The white cane, both a symbol to recognize the user as visually impaired as well as a tool for visual impairment navigation, was developed in 1930 by George Bonham, a late president of the Peoria Lions Club, said John Waddell, of the Belleville Lions.
