Jagya should have refused much earlier or given a clear answer when Shiv and Ira had asked him...instead of giving them reassurances.

Sumitra and DS should have known that refusing Shekhars in first place wouldn't be as bad as disasters that could occur afterwards.

The trouble is that they told Jagya ' think of Anandi think of Anandi'...Jagya could have taken that to mean "Don't refuse don't refuse"... so either way as you say...Anandi's life was destined to be in a mess!
