HT-M- Sriti to quit show? : Discuss any thing on Sriti leaving here

The TV actor apparently doesn't want to continue essaying the part of Ganga on a popular daily soap

Sriti Jha, better known as Ganga from Balika Vadhu (BV), may no longer be seen on the popular TV show. The actor, it seems, is unhappy with the way her character is projected and has decided to quit the daily soap. However, she won't leave the makers in a lurch. Sources claim Sriti will shoot for at least a month or till the makers find a suitable replacement.

An insider says, "Sriti is looking for work and has sent feelers to other production houses and had meetings with some of them. She has kept the production house and channel in the loop and they are also working on finding a way out for Ganga " either by replacing Sriti or ending the character. She is not satisfied creatively with the character. This isn't about tantrums or money problems."

When Sriti joined BV in February, there were rumours that Pratyusha Banerjee would be quitting and she would replace her as Anandi (the show's protagonist). But Sriti was signed on as the parallel lead opposite Jagdish (Shashank Vyas) and was apparently promised that their track would be the focal point of the show. Pratyusha quit and was replaced by Toral Rasputra and the makers were forced to establish Shiv's (Siddharth Shukla) relationship with Anandi instead of working on the JagyaGanga track. Then, Sanchi (Roop Durgapal) went on to grab the limelight. This has supposedly forced Sriti to actively search for a new show.

The channel didn't wish to comment about the developments, and Sriti, when asked, said, "It's not true."
