Ranbir has proved through the opening of Besharam that he got STAR POWER, a successful commercial actor has arrived 🥳

despite no chartbuster songs, no hype for pairing, no hype for leading lady, okay promotions and mixed reviews for the promos did the movie still open so well :D

The bad feedback and reviews, is it because Besharam is actually 'bad' or they just don't get the genre?

The complaint I saw many times was that it was crude. Yet, Delhi Belly I found even more crude and a put off for me. Yet, Delhi Belly, wasn't criticized as a bad film, but rather acknowledged as a crude one which some may or may not find suitable.

Is this really an example or Ranbir's star power rising above a bad script/flick, or is it an example of how he chose wisely enough, but many just didn't 'get' what the script and film were going for?

I'm not taking away from his starpower, and this reply is more a general post regarding all the Besharam negative vibes I've come across, more so than this particular topic.

Anyway just had to get that out.

Besharam Has 2.75 Crore Nett Second Weekend

Besharam grossed 2.75 crore nett approx in its second weekend takings its total 54.25 crore nett. The film has seen the sort of crash that is rare for big films with the film falling 90%.

The 60 crore nett looks a huge distance away and the film will finish at around 56 crore nett with a distributor share of 30 crore approx.

These totals have come with a big national holiday on day one and if that had not been there the collections of the film would have been even less. The loss on the film will be around 20 crore with recovery from all revenue sources to be around 65 crore on a 85 crore investment.
