I don't think Shobha De said all that about Deepika...her being a village girl etc!😕

Her comments were made during an interview with Karan Johar...I think what she said was that Deepika was very ordinary to look at and that every other college going girl in Bangalore either looks like her or better than her.

Surprised to read that stars get so affected by what journo's think of them...but if you can use that criticism to better yourself, nothing like it!

Also, I do not see her as shy or introvert. I will have to look up the defintion of those words if that is what she is.

Deepika is non of that. I wonder if she really knows who she is or she is just putting up a front. It is sad that woman have to put up that front in order to be acknowledged as woman in this world.

Why can Deepika not acknowledge herself as a go-getter, ambitious, hardworking and willing to go out with rich, famous guys in order to be noticed and not forgotten post OSO.

You have arrived Deepika. Done better than most guys in bollywood with connections. Do not hide behind the cliched 'shy, introvert' tag. You have what it takes; the killer instinct to get somewhere.

Its not just Deepika..Even RK claims that he is very shy😆 As someone mentioned the other day, these ppl make me doubt my understanding of this term😆

If I had to describe Deepika a few years back, I would have used the word 'awkward', sort of a wall-flower, a go-getter by nature, but not fully confident about herself!

But now she is every inch poised, utterly conscious and confident of what she is.

In that trailer launch of Ram Leela, she was such a diva (I am saying this in a positive way)...so much in control and unflappable and giving boring but politically correct answers...while Ranveer managed to end up looking like a star-struck fan instead of what he really is...her co-actor!

The only truly reticent and shy person in bollywood is Aditya Chopra...who refuses to even show his face to anyone!😆

Ranbir has beautifully cultivated the image of being this shy, sweet, boy next door...which he clearly is not!😆 But he does a far, far better job of maintaining that fake image than any other actor in his generation!
