Finally caught the episode and it was epitome of brilliance - top notch acting equating the demand of such an emotionally charged scene! Extra brownie points to Jenny for enacting that surreal moment of seeking apology solely through her eyes- still gives me goosebumps! Entire episode can be interpreted in many ways and one can definitely draw parallels from episodes in the past! That moment of silence apology took me back to that very episode of Kumud burning down Saras' belongings (which didn't include White cloth as that was a reminder of Saras' unfaithfulness and a deterrent for Kumud succumbing to her emotions) and Saras reaching Ratnanagri to amend his mistake and seek forgiveness! And today, while it was Kumud who was regretting her actions after being left in a burning room and seeks apology from Saras, it was HIM who was forgiven in real sense as he redeemed himself in her eyes!
White cloth which was not part of those burnt items then was also not tampered by the fire today either and what was then a reminder of Saras' betrayal, will forever remain as a reminder of TRUST- a trust that Saras can never really betray her, trust that Saras will always be with her through thick and thin just like today!! The white cloth, for Kumud, will now serve recollection of this very scene instead of the past, will be indicative of her own mistake of not trusting Saras as opposed to vice versa and will be deterrent for Kumud to doubt him & that trust again in the future! Sadistic yet a beautiful turn of events!
