Thank U so much Friends for such a wonderful response on my last update. I tried to convey the feelings of three generation about the traditions which are followed in the society with blindfolded eyes.

Part-14

Taiji left for her room. Anie had already informed Ram about the return of maan and Ram was so relieved to know. He immedietly left for the house.

Sudha thanked maan for saving her daughter from that torture.She thanked Priya too for supporting Geet at such a crucial time when they themselves were bearing the pain of the heavy loss which took their happiness with it.

Priya-No Sudha ji .Don't thank us.We could not save Geet from the clutches of these sick traditions. We acted like cowards.some times we are so helpless that even knowing all the truth that it was good for nothing culture of the society we didn't oppose them. Every time I scolded maan for being rude with taiji but his that rudeness proved a boon for us.I want to ask for a forgiveness from you Sudha ji.

Gautam-Nahin priya ji. We can understand you well . We too belong to that generation only. we all are swinging between what to do or what not. Young generation is qualified they understand the difference between right and wrong and they have that courage too to put their foot forward to support what is good for them.

Ram enterd there and said-You are rignt Gautam ji.I was stuck between right and wrong. And I know I supported the wrong but that too for Geet's sake. I know tiji is not that happy with Geet, and I wished if her anger would have been reduced on Geet by obeying her.

Maan-papa by supporting wrong we too stand in the side of wrong people.taiji kal koi aur bahana dhoondh leti Geet ko taane maarne ka.Phir aap kya karte?(She would have find another reason to taunt Geet)

Ram-I think you are right maan. But still I have no courage to say a word openly to her,I m brought up only in that way..And you can call me weak or a coward or whatever you want. But I m very happy with you that you realizes that your family needs you.. You have done a remarkable job.I don't think you have done anything wrong to support Geet.I know some times poison is needed to remove the effect of the poison. He went near geet. Put her and on her head and said-Sorry beta. You were alredy passing through that pain and then this punishment without any fault.and he kissed on her. temple I m so happy to see you back.Then he saw her burnt hands-aur ye kya. You have burnt your hands. At night Suresh went to give you food.Why did you refuse to take that.

Get-Sorry papa. Actually I never did anything for yash. So I thought to do this ritual for him with honesty.I din't want to disrespect you.

Ram-I know geet. It's okey.Waise mujhe lagta hai ab to sabko bhookh lagi hogi. Am I right? Suresh Break fast lagwaao sabke liye.

Gautam-Mr. khurana.taiji is too angry for all this I think you must go to talk to her.

Ram"Hmmm... Suresh give taiji's breakfast to me.

He took the break fast and left for taiji's room.

Taiji was pacing from one corner to other in her room.-sab kiya karaaye par paani phir gaya. (All my efforts are in vain now) Maan was to come after few days .how he came back so soon.I can't cop up with him .he is the one who never listens to me. Ab kya karoon.

She went near the idol of God which was kept at one corner in her room- And you...what can I say to you. Today I offered one hundred and one rupees and five coconuts to you in the temple and spent three hours ther as a token of thanks and what did you do?.You gave all the Prasad to that geet.What she has done to all? I m sure she knows some black magic. She didin't spare even god.(To god)aap par bhi uska jadu chal gaya.and if you aren't interested in favoring me.then it's okey.I don't need you.I will do that myself alone.. If Maan thinks that I will leave the house .he is too wrong. This is my house too.agar main na hoti to ye ghar bhi nahin hota.If I hadn't help him he would haven't touched this success.

She heard a knock on the door.She quickly set on the bed in a grumpy mood-kaun hai.

Ram came in side-taiji main hoon, aapka nashta laya hoon.

Taiji-nahin chahiye .After too much insult it's a sin to have a drop of water of this house. I will go from here. I don't want to live in a house where children do not respect their elders,

Ram-taiji It's not like that, maan didn't insult you. He said what was wrong and what was right in his eyes. Today's generation doesn't believe in those customs, so they say what they think is right.And taiji ji it's better to change with the time. The time to come belongs only to this new generation.I don't say any thing to you but every one can not behave in the same way. Kal yahi bachche hamen sambhaalenge. They will take care of us. So why are we so rigid to make them follow those old traditions.

Taiji-Ram. You are making a mistake by bending your head in front of these children.One day they will dance over your head.

Ram-taiji I don't believe in this theory. They all have full respect for us.just they don't tolerate which is not right. So it's better for us to move forward with them other wise we will be left behind where no one will be there to take care of us. may be we can lead our life in some old age home.

Ram politely warned taiji. And she was shocked to hear Ram like this.She thought for some time (ST)it's very important for me to stay here.So it's better to compromise this time,.Bu doing this I will get more time to think about my dream.

She pretended as she understood what Ram said-Theek hai Ram.jaisa tum kaho. I will try to keep myself calm.but I m hurt today . Maan insulted me in front of all those out siders.

Ram-taiji They are not out siders.They are a part of our family. Geet ki family hai and geet is an inseparable part of this family. So please don't call them outsides ever.Please have some food now.

Taiji fumed in her heart seeing Ram supporting Maan and others not her,She thought to control the situation from her mind.Ram went out her room.

Taiji-Ram today Geet and her family is more important to you..but no problem I know I have to go slow. I will see later what should I do. jyada garam khane se muh bhi jalta hai aur swad bhi nahin aata.So I have wait for some time for the things to be settled.

She tought for sometime .She came out of her room and said- waise to humen nahin pasand ki koi paramparaaon ko tode.aur hum ja ne ki soch rahe the yahaan se.Par Ram na kaha ki hum tum bachchon ko maaf kar de. Issiliys humne tum logon ko maaf kar diya.. par phir bjhi hum kah rahe hain ki ye galat hai. Kya Karen zamaana hi kharaab hai. Kab tak hum apne aadarsho ko sambhaal kar rakhenge jab ghar wale hi unko nahin maante. Theek hai Jo chaho so karo.hamara to budhapa hai.aaj nahin to kal iss dunia se chale hi jaayenge.tum log jaisa chahte ho waisa karo.(Though I don't like anyone to break the traditions and I was thinking to go from here.but ram asked me to forgive you all the children. So I have forgiven you.Still I say this all you are doing is wrong.What to time is too bad. How long we can take care of our ideologies when family is not ready to follow them.Okey-do whatever do you want to.I m old and will leave the world soon. So it's up to you. Do what you like)

Ram shook his head at this as she has taken him in totally other sense.but for him the storm had paased without doing any further harm.

After spending some time with Geet Handas were ready to leave. This time they didn't ask Khuranas to take Geet with them as they knew that it would increase their guilt for not taking the care of geet.

Gautam-Mr. Khurana . now we have to go. Thank u once again for having such a concern for Geet.

Geet hugged her parents and brother.

Gautam to Geet-Geet I know this family is your family now but you have one more home who is missing you.wahaan aati rahna. We too miss you a lot.

Geet-Sure papa. Why are you saying so. I will definitely come .But give me some time.As soon as every thing is well here I will come to spend my time with you.

Rahul thanked man for what he had done for his sister.Sudha too blessed him with her heart.

Maan-You don't need to Rahul. We all are family.ek pusre ka khayaal hume hum sabko hi to rakhna hai.

Handas left after that .

It was night and Geet came in her room. She looked at the photo of Yash. She lifted it in her hand-yash you are watching how everything is changed here.Itni bhi jaldi kya thi yash? Kitni khushiyaan hamara wait kar rahi thi.apni Geet ke bare me ek baar bhi nahin socha aapne, ek mauka bhi nahin diya aapne apni geet ko sabit karne ka ki wo ek achchhi patni ban sakti kai.main aapse bahut naraz hoon.( What was the hurry yash. You didn't think once about your Geet.You didn't give me a chance to prove my self a good wife.I m angry with you yash)

her tears were wetting the glass frame of the photo . She was talking to the yash remembering those happy days like he was listening to her.She didn't know when she slept holding that frame near her heart.

Maan was in his room. He too was talking to Arpita.- You know Arpita.Aaj main dar gaya tha wo sab dekh kar. If I wasn't on the time god knows what would have happened.kya. karoon khud ko sambhaaloon ya apne pariwaar ko sambhaaloon.kyun hua ye hamaare saath. Kitna khush the hum sab bas ek pal aur sab khatm(Today I was scared what I saw. What if I wasn't on time there? Im not able to understand what to do. If I handle myself or my family. What has happened with us.how mugh happy we all were.Only one moment and all was finished) But I know I will have to be strong. My family needs me. we all have to move forward.Please pray for me to stay strong for my family.

He too slept after that.

Life is too strange. No matter how much big the loss is., every one has to come over it with the time. Same was happening in KM.life was coming back on the track.Geet's wounds were heeled up after taking care of them.Though Tiji still didn't like Geet .but couln't do much.In Maan's presence she was calm but whenever he was not around she took out her frustration on Geet. Geet was so used to her bitter talks that she ignored them all the time. Her taunts were regular on the whole family like she did before but who cared for her taunts. They heard those and ignored. Maan knew that she would never change but he was assured that she couldn't harm Geet now. Geet never talked Maan about how taiji behaves with her. She convinced priya too for not telling to any one about that as it would again disturb the peace of the house.

Geet started to help priya in house hold works as she promised her to learn to do all works. Her cooking training started under priya's supervision.first she observed priya and the cook to know how they used the spices according to the quantity of food. And which spice was used in which recipe .After observing for few days she asked priya to try her hand on cooking.

First day she tried only one dish . she was unsure about the taste . what if it tasted bad.She was a good learner.she learnt a lot only by observing so didn't find it very difficult to cook it. she cooked that with the help of priya

When it was cooked , pyiya found that the first look of the dish wasn't that bad .

On the dinning table priya informed all about the cooking of Geet. Ram was happy to hear that . Anie was excited, taiji was like dekhte hain ki kaisa bana hai.And Maan took out his phone after hearing that.

Priya-Maan what are you doing. Why you have taken you phone in your hand.

Maan-maa I was thinking to take a life insurance policy before tasting it. Kahin isko khane ke baad mujhe kuchh ho gaya to? I don't want to take the risk.So I m going to talk to the agent..and he looked at geet's face which was like O.Anie giggled at this and Ram and priya smiled to hear. And Taiji...

She said-waise kuchh galat nahin kaha Maan ne. namak jyada hua to mera to BP hi badh jaayega. Aur phir mujhe heart attack aa gaya to.?I think maan is right .what if the salt is in some extra quantity in this .My BP will shoot and I will have an heart attack.

Maan-taiji try to learn the difference between fun and reality. I was just joking. Namak jyada bhi hua to kisi ko heart attack nahin aa jaayega ek din jyada namak khane se.

Taiji-No matter I will not take risk.so I won't eat it.

Maan-As you wish. And all started to eat. First trial and it wasn't bad at all. It was not too perfect as priya or maid cook it but worth to eat. And all appreciated that.

Finally Geet smiled a little and thanked all.now taiji too wanted to taste that. But how could she ask for that.Maan kept the serving bowl near her and taiji took some quantity from the bowl and tasted it thinking that all were busy and she was not being noticed by any one,but Maan was observing her. She too found that good. But said nothing.

Maan-taiji how was the dish which Geet made. BP badha to nahin na aapka. Hospital phone karoon kya ambulance bulane ke liye.(Is your BP okey.should I call for the ambulaance)

And taiji was like where to see. Finally she said-Theek hi thi.aisi bhi khas nahin thi jitni sab tareef kar rahe the.(it was okey not that good that you were appreciating it)

Ram-but taiji. She cooked something independently for first time.I found that very good from that point. And I know she will prove herself a good cook one day.

Taiji-dekhta hain Ram. Abhi usme bahut time hai.That we will see. It will take a lot of time.

So first dish which geet cooked was appreciated by all even by taiji too though not directly.
