It was morning and Taiji was up early as she had a peaceful sleep last night.She thought to visit the tample to thank the almighty for favoring her in her act.
She said to Priya-Priya kal shok(Mourning) ke terah din pure ho gaye hain to aaj se hum puja shuru kar sakte hain. I m going to temple to start my puja.
Priya only nodded to her wothout uttering a word.Taiji left and Priya tried to go to geet . she reached at the backyard door and she was shocked to see that the door was locked.
Priya-Suresh yahaan tala kisne lagaya hai?
Suresh-taiji ne .wo kah rahi thi ki mandir se aane par khol dengi.
Priya- Bring the keys.
Surash -keys are with taiji.
Priya first thought to break the lock then she remembered Ram's talks.Every step taken against taiji to favor Geet will lead Geet only in troubles.
She went back to her room.Ram too was feeling himself guilty so he left for the office early morning
Suresh-madam ji BF me kya banega.
Priya-I don't know. And I don't want to eat.Taiji se hi poochh lena.
Priya cursed herself for being an obedient wife and DIL.
She was in her room. She was already sick so energy was not left in her.she set on the bed.

It was Nine in the morning.Maan entered the house and found the house absolutely silent. His heart started to beat fast .The silence was scaring him.A maid passed from there and Maan asked her-Sab log kahaan hain?
The servant was happy to see him-bhaiya. Bade sahab in in office.Anie didi is in her room .Taiji has gone to temple and badi madam bhi apne room me hain.Geet bhabhi bahar pee..
But Maan was not there to listen her sentence, he went to Priya's room-Maa
Priya.was lying in her bed she was feeling very tired and weak-Maan You are back .
Maan-maa I m really very sorry .mujhe yahaan se aap ko aise chhodkar nahin jana chahiye tha. I m really very sorry maa. Mujhe maaf kar dijiye.Maa I m really very sorry .I know I shouldn't have to go leaving you in this condition
Priya- Kissed on his face-Maan wo sab chhodo. We were waiting only for you. Please Geet ko wahaan se lekar aao .Please Maan. Mujhe Geet chahiya abhi ke abhi.
She got up from the bed but fell again and Maan held her.She was burning with fever-Maa aapko to bahut tej fever hai.
Priya- Maan don't worry about my fever . You bring geet I will be fine.Chalo jaldi chalo
Maan didn't understand what she was talking about. Seeing her condition He said-maa aap yahaan rest karo main bas abhi Geet ko bulata hoon.
He dialled Geet's no. but it was swirtched off.
Maan- Maa aap bas thodi der wait kariye main lekar aata hoon usko.
Priya -Jaldi karo Maan wo bahut pareshaan hogi,tum nahin jaante ki wo
Maan-Maa bas do minute and he left to call Geet. He reached to her room and knocked at her door but didn't get any response.He found her room closed from outside. He thought her to be with Anie so he went to her room but there he found Anie sleeping alone she was in deep sleep as she couldn't sleep at night but she slept in bee hours being incapable to bear that tiredness.He tried awaken her but she didn't respond.
He asked one servent-Geet apne kamre me nahin hai .kahin aur gayi hai kya?
Servant-Ji Geet bhabhi yahaan ghar me nahin hai.
Maan-Hmmm.. jaao(He didn't want to engage a servant in their personal matter)
And then he thought her to be in Handa Mension. So he called Sudha. Sudha picked up the phone - Hello
Maan-Aunty main Maan. Aap Geet se kahiye ki wo ready rahe . I m coming to take har with me. Maa needs her.
Sudha-Maan Geet wahin hai .In KM only.
Maan-What?Servant told me that she is not in the house so I thought her to be with you.
Sudha-Nahin Maan tumne shayad servant ki puri baat nahin suni..wo ghar ke andar nahin ghar ke peechhe hai-performing her duties as a widow according to the traditions and costums.Maan I think you hadn't listen to the servant carefully.Geet is in the backyard not in side the KM
Maan-Ji? What are you talking aunty?
Sudha -I saying what is true? She has to live alone for a month as her husband has died and this is her duty to mourn for her husband.
Maan-No way aunty.Aunty please aap log yahaan aa sakte hain?abhi?
Sudha- But Taiji will not allow us to meet her.
Maan-Don't worry about that aunty bas aap log jaldi se aa jaaiye.
He went again to wake Anie up . he shook her harshly to make her awake . She opened her eyes and aw maan . She hugged him -Bhaiya kyun chale gaye . Bhabnhi wahaan
Maan- I know Anie ...come with me. He took Anie with her and reached at the backyard door and was shoked tpo see it locked.he understood who had done that.
Maan-Suresh Suresh and suresh came bring the keys.
Suresh-bhaiya Keys are with taiji.
Maan-Break it.
Suresh-Ji ...and he happily went to take the hammer and broke the lock.
They all went to that room and the sight was very heart wrenching.
Geet was trying to cook khichdi for herself and the smell was telling that it was fully burnt.and then they saw her trying to hold the cooking pan with the help of her dupatta. Flame was full so it was coming out of the bottom of the pan.As Maan saw her trying to hold the pan with her dupatta he shouted-Geet No don't do that and Geet looked at him with her dupatta still on the pot and her dupatta caught the fire as she was now looking at them not on the stove.
Maan and Anie-Geeett/Bhaaabhhhiii
All rushed towards her and maan threw her dupatta on the ground. He put off the fire with tapping his feet on that.
Maan-Geet ye kya kar rahi thi tum?
Geet-wo khana bana rahi thi apne liye. Taiji ne kaha ki mujhe ek mahine tak aise hi rahna hai.I was cooking food for my self .taiji has asked me to do so for a month
Maan looked in to the pan-You call it food.
Geet-Wo cooking nahin aati na to thoda jal gaya.but don't worry . I will manage.
Anie was seeing her with tearful eyes. She hgged her-Bhabhi
Geet- Kya hua Anie ? why are you crying?and she wiped her tears.
Mann-Chalo Geet yahaan se.
Geet-main nahin ja sakti. Wo taiji ne kaha ki ye karna hi hai.
Maan-To hell with her.
Geet-Taiji will be angry on me Maan.
Maan- If you will not come , maa me and Anie will be angry on you and will never talk to you. Think well whose anger is more easy to bear for you? Geet tum padhi likhi ho. In sab baaton me kaise believe kar sakti ho.ab bahas mat karo aur chalo. Aur agar nahin chalogi to main tumhen kheench kar le jaaunga. And he literally pulled her by her hand and Geet winced with Pain-Aaah
And anie and Maan looked at her hands.Her both hands were burnt few fingers were having some blisters too.
Anie-Bhabhi ye kaise hua.
Geet eyes were wet becuase of the pain-Wo kal raat ko . I didn't have any idea about how much water should be added to the food. So I added too much water in that. While trying to take out that extra water from the pan It came on my hands and ..
Maan closed her eyes in anger and asked Anie to bring Geet in. and he said to Geet-No more arguments Geet come in side. Suresh go and prepare some juice for her.
Maan and Anie brought Geet near Priya. Geet saw her and called-maa
And Priya opened her eyes and found Geet in front of herself-Geet and she spread her arms to take Geet in them. Geet came near her and priya hugged her.Handas were there till that time and they saw Geet in Priya's arms.
Sudha felt some satisfaction seeing Geet out of that hell and seeing priya's concern for Geet.
They all come near Geet and Rahul called her -Geet and she looked at his brother and smiled to see him. She could see every one was in some pain so she didn't want to show them that she was in too pain.she tried to behave normally with them.she hugged all of them one by one.
Sudha-Geet are you okey?
Geet-Haan mamma I m fine .
Maan-Anie Bring some clothes for her and bring only her normal clothes not these white clothes.
Geet-Lekin how can I wear thse clothes now.I m wi..

Anie-Ji bhaiya and she brought Geet's usual clothes.
Geet was seeing Maan so angry for the first time so she didn't argue much.
Anie brought her clothes and gave them to Geet. Geet looked at Priya and priya nodded in yes. She went in the washroom to have a bath.
She came out of the washroom in her normal clothes and tears flowed down from Sudha's eyes to see her daughter in a normal get up. Suresh brought juice for her ,Maan asked Suresh to bring first aid box
Priya -kya hua hai?
Maan-Kya ho sakta hai. Jis ko chai banaane ke alawa kuchh nahin aata ho wo kya khana banaayegi. She has burnt her both hands. And Sudha took her hands in hers to see the damagewhat more can be happened?DO you think I girl who hasn't made anything exept tea in her life cam cook food?
Geet-Mamma nahin theek hai. Kuchh nahin hua .bas thoda sa...
Rahul looked at her hands-Ye thoda sa hai. Jyada kisko kahte hain Geet.Aren't you feeling pain?is it little?If it is little how you describe a bigger wound?

Sudha helped her to drink the juice as her hands were burnt and anie applied the ointment on her hands
Maan asked for a sorry from handas for running away from the responsibility but he was bach now and assured them about Geet.He was standing with his joint hands in front of them . Gautam held his hands-maan You were not at fault.ye rasme hoti hi itni buri hain.hum log shayad itni himmat nahin juta paate hai in ka virodh karne ke liye. Hamaari peedhi ne bachpan se unhen dekha hai par kabhi nahin socha unhen rokne ke liye .hamaar peedhi phans gayi hai in riwaazon ke chakravyuh me.hum chodna to chahte hain par samaaj ke darr se chhod nahin paate. but I m proud of your generation that it has that courage to stop those sick traditions. You may say that seeing my daughter stuck in these traditions I m feeling the pain of all those women whom we have seen from our child hood.And I promise you that I will never follow any tradition which gives only pain , nothing else. (These treditions are such tortureous.But our generation doesn't have that courage to oppose them.we have seen that from our childhood and never thought to stop them.we are stuck between them.we want to stop them but the fear of the sosiety stops us from doing so)

Maan had gone to get fresh. All were sitting in hall.Taiji returned from the temple and found Handas there. Handas wished her but Rahul didn't say a word to wish her.
Taiji-Arrey Sudha ji aap yahaan. Geet se milne aayi hain. Par aap to jaanti hain na ki aap geet se nahin mil sakti.rasm hai ye jo wo nibha rahi hai. Usko aap milengi to uska honsla tootega. Ab usse to puri zindagi aise hi bitani to majboot to banna hi padega na.(you here? Came to meet Geet but you know that you can't meet her. She is only performing the customs.If you meet her ,she will be weak in her duty.She has to live all her life like this onlyso she will have to be strong)
Then her eyes went on geet who was coming out of Priya's room with Anie.her eyes went wider and wider to see Geet out of that storeroom.
Geet was lottle bit scared to see her. Taiji looked at her. She was wearing her normal clothes. She couldn't control her anger and scolded Geet-Geet tum yahaan kaise aa gayin aur ye kya kapde rangeen kyun pahne hain. Ohh ab samjhe hum .. tumne shayad apne mata pita ko bulaya hoga. Shayad tum darr gayi apna vidhwa dharm nibhaane se. Tum jana chahti ho yahaan se. sari himmat toot gayi tumhaari.pahle to bade josh me kah rahi thi ki ya mere pati ka ghar hai main kahin nahin jaaungi. Ab kya hua. Ek din me hi bhool gayi ki ye tumhaare pati ka ghar hai.Ja sakti ho Geet par ek baat kaan khol kar sul lo tum yahaan dobara nahin aaa sakti. Saare rishte tod kar jana hoga.jaise Arpita ke mata pita ne tod diya iss ghar se rishta.(Geet how did u came here?and what is this why you are wearing therse colored clothes.now I got it,perhaps you have called up your parents. You are afraid of your duty as a widow.You want to go from here. You are losing your courage.that day you were proud to say that it was your husband's house and you won't go any where.One day and you forgot that this is ypour husband's house.You may go but listen to me very care fully you will never come here again. You have to break all the ties from this house as arpita's parents did)
And she heard an unexpected voice- ye decide karne ka haq aapko nahin Geet ko hai taiji ki Geet kahaan rahegi kahaan nahin.Ye Geet hi decide karegi ki wo kya chahti hai.( only Geet will decide where she wants to live not you taiji)
Taiji's face went pale for a second but then said-Arre Maan tum aa gaye beta.tum to kuchh din akela rahna chate the na.Maan you are back? You told us to come back after few days?
Maan-Ji ... par baad me socha ki koi akela rah kar apna dukh kaise kam kar sakta hai. Aise waqt me family ki zaroorat hoti hai. Phir chahe wo main hoon ya phir Geet.(Yes .. late I thought that how can a person reduce his pain alone .He needs family at this time. It's same for me and geet)
Taiji-Arre beta ye kya kah rahe ho... maine koi naya niyam to nahin banaya hai ye to parampara rahi hai.ab pati guzar gaya hai ti patni ka to dharm hai na ki wo apma vidhwa dharm nibhaaye.Maan what are u saying. Ye niyam banaaye kisne.. mere jaise hi kisi insaan ne . to aaj main naya niyam banata hoon Main nahin maanta in dakiyanoosi baaton ko.main kahta hoon ki aurat auer mard ko ek samaan haq milna chahiye.Jo mere liye theek hai wo geet ke liye bhi theek hai aur jo Geet ke liye galat hai wo mere liye bhi galat hai.Mujhe rangeen kapde pahnne ki permission hai to Geet kyun safed kapde pahne.Agar Geet ko khichdi khani chahiye to mujhe bjhi dusra food khane ki permission nahin honi chahiye May be these are the rituals only foe women.but who set those rules . He was a man like me only.Today I m setting the new rule. I believe in eqality between man nad woman.which is right for me is right for Geet and which is wrong for Geet is wrong for meIf I can wear colored clothes then why Geet can'tWhen Geet has to eat those blend foods then why shouldn't I too

Argument were going on and on. Geet was having tears in her eyes for being the reason for that quarrel.
Taiji-samaaj ke kuchh niyam hote hain jinhe nibhana hi padta hai.Society has some rules to be followed
Maan- Wahi Samaaj kahaan chala jaata hai jab koi musibat me hota hai. Wo samaaj kis kaam ka jo kisi ke zakhmo par marham lagaane ki jagah unhen aur jyada painful bana deta hai in rasmo ke naam par.Where does that society goes when some one is in trouble. What is the use of the society which add salts to the wounde instead os applying ointment
Taiji- Maan tum nahin jaante ye sab karke tum kitni badi galati kar rahe ho. Kal jab log geet ko iss haal me dekhenge to taane maarenge. Mazaak banaayenge tum logon ka. Khandaan ka naam mitti me mil jaayega.Maan you don't know that you are doing the blunder. People will taunt Geet when they see her in this state.they will make fun of you all. The name of this house will be defamed
Maan- No problem Taiji . uss di aap azaad hongi is badnaam khandaan se apna rishta todne ke liye. Hum khush rahne hi koshish kar lenge aap ke bina aur khandaan ki kati hui naak ke saath. Aap ko chinta karne ki zaroorat hain hain.hum sambhaal lenge apne khandaan ki izzat.No problem.That day you will be free to break your all ties with this defamed family. We will try to be happy with out you. We will all take care of our selves
Taiji-Tum had se aage badh rahe ho Maan. Ram kahaan hai . Mujhe us se baat karni hai.
Maan-Taiji papa aap se kuchh nahin kahte iska matlab ye nahin hai ki wo aapse darte hain. Wo sirf aapki izzat karte hain. Wo aap ke baare me sochte hain ki iss age me aapko beghar nahin sekh sakte. Bas aur kuchh nahin.Aur ek baat... main papa ke bhi khilaaf ho jaaunga agar unhone aapka saath diya to. Unhen choose karna padega ki wo kiska saath denge. Ab ye to aap bhi jaanti hai ki bhale hi wo aapki kitni bhi izzat kyun na karte ho choose to wo mujhe hi karenge. To papa ko Beech me laane ki zaroorat nahin hai. Papa doesn't open his mouth n front of you that doesn't mean that he is afraid of you He only thinks about you . he doesn't want to see you homeless at this age. Taiji was shocked to hear that.But she knew that maan was 100% correct. Any father would choose his son over the old lady who is not his real mother.

Kuchh kaam dhaam bhi nahin aata phir bhi sab tumhara hi paskh(Favor)lete hain.Kah deti hoon tumhaari wajah se ek din iss khaandaan ka naam mitti me mil jaayega.It's all only because of you Geet. Do you know some black magic. No body can see beyond you.You don't know how to work properly even than every one favors you.But I warn you you will bring the defame for this family

Taiji-koi zaroorat nahijn hai safaai dene ki. Karo tum log jo ji me aaye mujhe kya.ek din tum log khud dekhogre ki ye ladki kitni badi pareshani banegi iss ghar ke liye. Anie ke baare me socha hai.isko koi apne ghar ki bahu nahin banaayega tum logon ke ye rang dhang dekh har.No need to clarify. Do what ever you all want to do. You all will see yourself how this girl becomes a problem for all of you.Have you ever thought about Anie.No body will accept her as h their DIL seeing you all ignoring the rules of society
Maan- Aap Anie ki fikar mat kijiye . abhi uska bhai zinda hai uske baare me sochne ke liye. Geet ki wajah se kya hota hai uske responsible hum honge aap ko dosh nahin denge.You don't worry about Anie. His brother is still alive. If something bad happens because of Geet ,only we will be responsible for that. No body will blame you for that.
Taij seeing Maan not getting convinced with her logics she went to her room after giving a glaring looks to Geet and priya- aaj kal ke bachchon ki to buddhi hi brasht ho gayi hai. Saare niyam kannon ki dhaajjiayan uada rahe hai. Ghor kaliyug aa gaya hai.Iska phal bhugtoge ek din aur uss din tum log yaad karoge iss taiji ko ki main hi sahi thi.Today's generation has lost it's mind.They are makin a fun of the rules of society.That's calles a modern age which is taking us all towards the destruction.You wiil have to bear the consiquences for this.That day you will remember me that I was right
Geet was tooo scared to see all that happened there.
