Deepika Padukone's Tamil is bokwaas'?

Many have appreciated actress Deepika Padukone's attempt to speak Hindi with a strong Tamil accent in the film Chennai Express. Deepika played a Tamilian in the highest grossing Bollywood films of all time. However, we have heard Bangalore lass Deepika who is quite fluent in Kannada cannot speak Tamil and thus her voice in the upcoming Tamil Kochadaiiyaan film starring Rajinikanth has been dubbed by Savitha Reddy.
Director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin says, "Savitha was the perfect choice for Deepika's Tamil dubbing. She has a very versatile tone to her voice and she is adept in tuning her chords to elicit the desired performance. Whether Deepika's character has to ooze grace and elegance, or dramatic prowess and zest, Savitha is a perfect performer. She was totally in sync with what I required from character and the emotion and impact I wanted to create."
According to sources, the upcoming film Kochadaiiyaan starring the superstar, will be released on Rajnikanth's birthday on December 12.
