Hello all. Come back with a short OS in a tough phase of the life of Ansh. Would be highly grateful for feedback and areas for improvement.
Ansh OS - Baatein kuchh ankahee si
"Tuck" - Anandi shut the door of the bedroom. Her face had turned pale and eyes had lost sheen. It was a difficult day. Saanchi had been brought back from hospital and she point blank refused Anandi's assistance in feeding her or taking care of her. To the extent that she threw the entire tray on Anandi's face. Adding to that, Ira held Anandi responsible for Saanchi's state.
Anandi was upset not for herself but because the entire family was going through a testing time and a bad phase. She wanted to help them but was helpless herself.
Drifting out from her thoughts, she got startled when she saw Shiv fast asleep on the bed. Shiv hardly spoke to her these days. He still had his reading specs on his eyes and a flat file lying around him.
Slowly, Anandi removed them and pulled up his blanket. Cautiously she wrapped him till the neck.
Shiv looked pain stricken. He looked disturbed. He looked drained.
She sat next to him without causing any disturbance and kept staring at him. She wanted to help him; she wanted to protect her angel from the worries of the world. She wanted him to atleast have a peaceful sleep.
She thought to herself
"Shiv please let me help you. I cannot see you distressed like this. Shout at me, but please don't distance me away like this. Give me all your worries. All your pain. Please don't suffer alone. In good and in bad, we are in it together. You had told me once, that we are friends first and then all the relations come in. We had promised each other that we will share everything with each other. As your best friend first, allow me to guide you. As the person, who you brought back to life, allow me to soothe you. As your wife and your life partner, allow me to heal you. Please trust your Anandi, Shiv, she will try all her might to protect you and our family and get you out of this phase. Please Shiv, I love you."
Shiv drifted, the creases on his forehead had toned out. Anandi wiped the silently rolling tears and gave Shiv one look pleading look and lied down on her side of the bed. Completely drained, she dozed off almost as soon as she touched the bed.
Sometimes, we do not need words to communicate. Sometimes, words end up doing more damage.
Sometimes, the minds may wander elsewhere, but in those times, the heart still remains connected.
Sometimes, life leaves us at crossroads, but all the roads may end up connecting at the same destination.
Sometimes, the night may be darker, but it still ensures a beautiful morning.
The unsaid did not go unheard. That night, after many nights, Shiv slept peacefully.
+++++++++++++++++++++++
To a beautiful morning
