How are Shivraj and Sanchi Shekhar similar:
- Shiv pretended to be liberal before he got married to Anandi. Now slowly we can see he is an MCP. Sanchi also pretended to be modern but from day one we could see how she loathed village people and looked down upon a divorced woman who'd once been a child bride.
- Shiv pretended to read Anandi's mind and know her worries even before she spoke. Earlier, before marriage, he would himself ask her or create suitable atmosphere for her to talk and speak out whatever that was troubling her. NOW, after he's got her in every sense (bed included), he can no longer read her mind or face, he will shut her up even when she wants to speak.
Sanchi pretended to have love and concern for her mother but stopped listening to hher or bothering about her. She pretended to have concern for Jagya but would get on with her own talks instead of giving him much chance to speak.
- Shiv had problem with Jagya but pretended to be okay.
Sanchi had problem with Anandi always, but when she wanted things her own way she pretended to be "okay" with her.
- Shiv would hold Anandi's hand somehow, visualise about her "etc." before marriage. He knew she was pressurised into it yet he kept throwing himself at her or grabbed her after marriage.
Sanchi also is all "physical" in her dreams about Jagya. She's one step ahead as she started throwing herself at Jagya even before marriage. Only engagement was enough for her.
- Before marriage, Shiv had at times used his Collector position to get opportunities to meet Anandi (I need help over this blah blah).
Sanchi had used her studies and assignments as an excuse to interact with Jagya before engagement.
- Shiv was defensive of Anandi as long as he wanted to protect his own ego and justify his own choice to the world.
Sanchi was "defensive" of her Dr. Jagdish as long she wanted to justify her choice. Now she still pretends but in her mind she accuses Jagya of trying to take revenge of that coffee convo from her!
- Shiv is sweet and tolerant of family till he wants to be. He doesn't shy away from bursting out if his ego is hurt. (Where did his affection for Sanchi go earlier?)
Mostly Shiv is into his own world. Eats away and smiles away.
Sanchi is also mostly in her own world. And eats and smiles (unless matter is related to Anandi). If she didn't like anything, she too gets rude.
- Both siblings in a way, take their family for granted. They see them as "facilitators".
Shiv was not informing or asking Shekhars when he had told them he loved Anandi and wanted to marry her.
He had told them. And expected a yes from them.
Sanchi also only declared her love for Jagya to family. She definitely didn't want to ask for their approval!
Both siblings took their families to BH to ask for rishta of partners they had chosen.
- Shiv helps people only as long as it suits his interests (or ego). If it doesn't suit him he withdraws his help or rather creates more trouble as a revenge.
Sanchi also pretends to be helpful and loving as long as it suits her. Or else it's payback time for those who missed with princess.
- Shiv uses his influential position as Collector to help or mess up others.
Sanchi uses Shiv's name to "warn" people outside and uses her own position of influence as the only girl and laadli of the house as, when and whichever way she wants to.
- Shiv didn't bother about Ashima's feelings. (Only he was merciful enough not to insult her or reject her blatantly).
Sanchi didn't bother that NRI family could even have respect of their own. She blatantly rejected the boy. (At least boy wasn't her bestie and she wasn't close to him...toh boy's feelings weren't hurt! That said his and his family's respect was undermined with such rude behaviour!)
Both have rejected NRIs to run after divorced balak var and balika vadhu from same village.
- Sanchi has always suspected Anandi of having some plan to harm or trap Shekhars.
Shiv always suspected Jagya. Of late he has begun to suspect Anandi also of delberately trying to put Shekhars in position of shame.
- Shiv earlier pretended to be more than a son for Singhs. Now he doesn't bother whether they are insulted or relations are cut off from them. He doesn't bother about their apologies and explanations either. He did not bother even when old matriarch DS was being shouted at and terrorised by his mom.
Sanchi also pretended this "maa", "dadi ji" thing for Singhs, feigned concern, discussed about them worriedly earlier. Now isn't bothered how much they are bashed.
- In little things also these Shekhar siblings are similar.
Hadn't Shiv feigned chest pain and breathlessness once only to have Anandi come close to him and play a prank on her?
Sanchi had done a similar prank on Jagya when she came to hospital in a ghunghat and pretended to be a serious patient.
Despite his job, this collector would keep looking at Anandi's pics in his mobile and keep calling her after marriage.
Sanchi would keep gazing at Jagya's pics in her mobile, keep messaging or calling him even when she'd be at college or at home, studying for exams or preparing "assignments".
Shiv and Sanchi have many similarities. It's just that Sanchi, being younger and having less exposure to outside world unlike bureaucrat babu Shiv lacks tact and ends up being directly rude. She can't be as diplomatic as Shiv. And she was too quick...she rushed before marriage. Shiv was better he knows how to drive, when to keep slow and when to speed up!
