Two egomaniacs - Ira & Sumitra

Middle aged women gaining prominence in household as they become MILs, are eldest bahus or mothers of eldest kids.

IRA:

She is miffed with Anandi. "Tumhari himmat kaise hui Jetsar walon se rishta rakhne ki! Mere manaa karne ke bawajud!"

She hates Anandi for going against her. Or not taking her permission first. She's regretful why Shiv married Anandi.

She'll overlook any good deed done by Anandi and bash her no matter what.

SUMITRA:

Hates Ganga. Thinks she trapped Jagya. Will ignore her good deeds. Is madly livid why Ganga became bahu despite her diktat against her.

She loves her laado Anandi. Used her as an excuse to like Sanchi. And has now grown to like Sanchi like a laado as well.

Both were ignorant and indulgent mothers. Both haven't learnt anything. They still do more to ruin their kids and their spouses' lives by their constant meddling. Both nag everyone like crazy.
Both can't tolerate defiance or disagreement to their views anymore.

Both are hypocrites.

Sumitra has easily broken off with Jagya and Ganga. But said "aise kehne se rishte toot jaate hain kya" when she thought of Ira before calling up Anandi. 😲

Both are root cause of mess in their families and watering this weed called Sanchi!

They seriosuly make dadisa look good...dadisa had a very good reason for her behavior

I do not see similarities in choti ma and Gehna. CM is a widow and devrani. Still she does not back off from speaking up and taking a stand when needed. Whereas Gehna is shameless twig who can whisper and giggle in her bedroom, look on with a constipated expression outside and do NOTHING. Gehna is no longer what she was at one point of time.

I agree DS had reasons to behave the way she did. But Ira and Sumitra are total disappointments. Sumitra did not learn anything from Anandi experience and living with Bhairon. Ira is worse that she is so limited and prejudiced despite her education, relatively modern and urban living and all exposure to the world.

Both are ready to blame others. Try to control kids. Both pretended to be loving or open minded but both wanted only virgins for their kids as spouses.
