Highly doubt it!!, even pinto whose so popular in the states had she not gotten popular with slumdog millionaire no BW director would be interested in her and shes probably not as dark !!

When our own actresses ( the ones on the darker side) try to lighten their skin, you really think they go searching on dark skinned actresses abroad? Esp in a country where dark skin is looked down upon!!

All the imports we get our light-white skin as thats what indians like !!

Could you imagine talented black actors like Denzel, Will Smith, Halle Berry etc.. wouldn't even be given the time of the day in BW.

^sad but true esp the actresses !! Since we do have Ajay and a Danush was recently appreciated sothe dark males may have a slight chance!!

Not for the next few decades atleast!! When actresses like DP, Bips are called kaamwaali types & don't even ask me what Dhanush was called, I don't see this happening anytime soon!

Maybe Miss American winner will get offers and be successful and more dark-toned girls will get a chance.

It's sad that fair skin is considered the norm for BW. There are a lot of darker skin girls that are gorgeous. And the darker ones end up getting lighter and lighter--another thing that sucks big time!

Never...Logon se Deepika toh bardasht hoti nahi hai...who is going to tolerate an African actress?...aap toh gori gori actresses se kaam chala lo...ab ek nayi aane wali hai...Eli Abram...right now she is in the BB house...

South African whites maybe. Never a colored African cos Indians are so prejudiced against black/dark brown skin color. Maybe will be used just for comic scenes,singing jinga lila hoo..

Forget Deepika, why is Bipasha only considered sexy and seductive but not beautiful or gorgeous?

That skin color, no idea why people in India are against girls with darker skin tone.

Because this thread is not discussing complexion, but just an 'African actress" I will like to add that Bollywood ALREADY had a pure African actress as LEAD named "Ilene Hamann" 8 years' ago in 2005 Bhatt's movie "ROG"

She is a South African of European descent, she isn't black. If she can be considered then we can count the Desi, half-Desi South African imports too, or from any African country.
