The sun shone its beams on Kriya and Rey too, who were sleeping peacefully in each other's arms. Kriya was seated in between his legs whilst his hands supported her waist. She leaned on his shoulder and he leaned against the bed post. Nothing could be more serene than having the person you love the most in your arms.
Like they say all good things come to an end, so did their sleep. The sun rays falling on their faces made them stir in their places. Kriya was the first one to wake. She tried to stretch her arms but found some restriction on doing so. On realizing that she was in his arms, her face involuntarily lit up. All her turmoil calmed down on having him with her.
She positioned herself carefully in a manner such that she could have a better view of his face and also not disturbing his sleep. His lips were slightly ajar while sleeping. She smiled at him and observed the contours of his face. His face looked so serene and pleasant. She could watch him sleep all day long. Her hands automatically caressed his cheeks. Though he was asleep but on sensing her touch he smiled.
She moved forward and kissed him on the edge of his lips. She let her lips linger there for a few seconds before pulling back. She then kissed his eyes carefully not wanting to wake him up. But looks like her universe ji couldn't handle her one sided romance and to disturb her moment he made Rey's phone ring. In a jiffy Rey woke and found Kriya staring at him. He smiled at her and let his hands touch her face. Before he could feel the warmth of her skin, his phone rang again.
"Hello"
"Rey, it's Smriti."
"Yes aunty"
"Beta how's Kriya?" Asked a worried Smriti.
"Aunty she's fine and I'll drop her home in sometime."
"Can I talk to her once."
Since Kriya was sitting close to him, she could slightly hear their conversation. On hearing Smriti's last sentence, she indicated Rey that she doesn't want to talk to her.
"Uh, aunty she's in the washroom currently." Rey lied.
"Oh okay."
"I'll talk to you later aunty. Bye."
"Bye."
As Rey hung up the phone he saw Kriya pondering over something. She was probably thinking about yesterday's events. He lifted her chin and made her look at him.
"Stop thinking too much. For once leave everything on your universe ji. He will set the things right."
Kriya looked at him gratitude.
"And one more thing, just remember that no matter what happens I'll always be there with you."
At this both of them shared an intense eye lock. To lighten up the atmosphere Rey spoke "well, I don't mind you sitting on my lap for the rest of the day but we have to reach college on time."
Kriya looked down blushing and moved in her position to get off. While doing so, the t-shirt that she was wearing slid up a bit above her mid thigh revealing her bare slender legs. Rey's eyes traveled down to her thighs and legs. Kriya tried to cover them but Rey caught hold of her hand. He moved extremely close to her. While kissing her on her shoulder, his hands caressed her legs moving up from her toes till her thighs. His hands moved up further pushing the shirt upwards only to be stopped by Kriya. Giving her a peck on her lips, he placed her on the ground.
Kriya let the cold water wash all her pains. Her life had taken a crucial turn. On one hand the equation between Rey and her was solving but on the other hand things between her parents and her were upside down. After a long bath, she came out.

On Kriya's insist they directly reached the college. On seeing Kriya safe and sound the gang felt relieved.
"Hey guys." Kriya said trying to sound cheerful.
"Hey Kriya." The gang replied understanding Kriya's effort.
"Are you fine Kriya?" Sharon asked.
"Yeah I am. I'll be back in some time, need to collect a few books from my locker."
As Kriya exited the canteen from one door, Taani entered in from the other.
"Hi guys." Taani said softly.
"Hey." Rey said on behaf of everyone as he felt bad for taani too.
The gang was busy in their own talks. Out of the blue Nilesh questioned Taani.
"Taani kal se mere dimag mai ek question hai. How did you manage to get Rey's writing on the new speech?"
Everyone glared at Nilesh for bringing up that topic again.
"What? It's a genuine question yaar."
"Ah! It's fine. I'll tell you. I copied Rey's writing." Taani replied.
"You really did that. Woah!" Vicky replied.
"I can copy anyone's writing." Saying this Taani took a piece of paper and wrote something. The gang was surprised on seeing it. It was exactly like Vicky's writing. They praised Taani for this talent of hers.
It was evening and everyone was preparing to heed back home.
"I have some notes to be completed, so you go Rey. I'll manage on my own." Kriya said.
"Are you sure?" Rey asked.
"Yeah."
"Pakka?"
"Arrey ha pakka. Aap jao."
When everyone left, Swayam entered the canteen.
"Till when will you avoid your parents Kriya?"
Kriya was startled for a moment.
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean."
Kriya just looked down and sighed. "Look I can't say that I know you very well. But as far as I know you, I can clearly tell thar you are avoiding your parents." Swayam continued.
"Then what do I do swayam?"
"Go and talk to them. Ignoring them is not a solution. I know they were the reason behind the death of your real parents. But look at the positive side. Had there been someone else instead of them, then they would never reveal this nor they would accept you and love you like their own child. They are equally hurt like you. They need you beside them like you need them."
After pondering over Swayam's words Kriya spoke "thanks swayam."
