Jagya as a child was given more importance than anandi. Did you forget what all DS used to do with anandi and pamper jagya. Only after he betrayed his family and anandi DS started loving anandi more than him.

Internally they have always had attachment with him. But externally they often withdrew its show because of Jagya's deeds. When he blunders, he makes them feel ashamed of themselves and makes them feel like failures in their upbringing.

When he is not wrong per se but action results into some negative impact, again they feel bad and hurt.

Their idea of good means TOTAL OBEDIENCE. That is what he does not do really. So he's trashed.

He's conformed to their idea of good only for short time. He ends up commiting some wrong knowingly or unknowingly every now and then.

DS was threatening him on engagement day but he could have avoided this by requesting them all to ask Shekhars to give them some time to think. Buying some time is nothing wrong, isn't it?

He never shared anything with them. Even now he has not entirely told of Sanchi's truth to them (he withheld information about mahurat manipulation).

So in their minds, this marriage to Ganga and break up with Sanchi - the way it has unfolded is not much different from how he had broken up his previous marriages.

Anandi's sasra does matter a lot to them because of their attachment to Anandi and guilt for whatever she had to suffer.

Again, with fate, in some way, an action of Jagya has resulted into mess in Anandi's life and home. So they are thinking more about it.

Jagya had promised them he will do as they say, he'll do anything for Anandi or he won't do anything that remotely brings trouble for her. He'd brush aside all marriage talks with, "Jo aapko theek lage".

So now they are feeling cheated. They feel his claims were false.

Of course DS is hypocrite in ignoring obvious signs of his disinterest in this alliance and putting her guilt complex on him.

But they're all guilty in some way or the other.

Hospital and haveli are property and symbol of family pride for DS. Hospital is in her late husband's name so she takes it as his nishaani also. Hence she readily snatches them from him when she feels he does not deserve these.

She also wants to show she took actions against him (in case Shekhars snoop around again).

She is so desperate to keep Anandi's in laws pleased that she'll do anything.

Jagya's past worsens his case always.

It is DS' fault. If she wanted an obedient robot then why did she let him do his own thing in childhood and teenage? Why did she thwart all efforts to discipline him? She would even threaten school masters who irritated her laadesar!!
Obviously Jagya then wanted freedom and had a mind of his own.
Why so angry and sad later then?

You let him have freedom when it suits you. But get angry when it doesn't suit you that he exercises his free will.

Back to this case, Jagya did not tell them of crucial happenings in Mangalore due to which he became so eager to stop Ganga from going and married her so readily. Had he told them, still some of them would have understood.

He never talks to them or talks partially. Then misunderstandings are a given.
