this update is all those who asked me to make my update a bit longer... so enjoy

Part 14

Astha wakes up in the morning sneezing and coughing.. she had been in almost in an ice chilled room the whole night..

Astha holds her head with a headache and starts to look around.. Shlok isn't there.. She gets up and knocks the washroom but he isn't there either..

Just then there is a knock at the door.. Astha opens it and there is a maid " good morning madam.. Shlok sir has asked u to report to duty.. someone came and delivered some clothes for you." She hands over a tray with some food and coffee and couple of bags of clothes

Astha takes everything..

Just then she receives a message long day ahead dear.. get ready and be in the office in 20 minutes. Every minute more than that will cost ... u know whom.."

Astha gets worried and starts getting ready fast fast.. She manages to stuff some food and run from the house..

She is running on the road for a rikshaw.. noone is stopping.. finally one stops and she gets into it

Shlok is in the office sitting on his chair with back towards the door.. he keeps looking at the clock...

Just then the clock struck 10pm and shlok says " ur time is up astha" and smirks..

Astha bangs open the door and is panting" go..ooo..d mmooor...nning sii...r"

Shlok gives a rude smile to her..

Astha is fighting with her cold and cough... Shlok takes a notice of her but then decides to ignore

"So Ms. Astha... U have a lot of work today..." and calls one staff inside

He comes in with sooo many files

Astha looks at it and wonders..

" All this work has to be finished today by 4 o clock" Shlok says firmly and shows her the way out to her desk

Astha nods and goes out with all the work..

Astha keeps sneezing and looks at the quantity if work she has been given.. She looks at the gods idol near by and prays..

She calls up Gauri " gauri how is mom?"

She is much better now astha.We can take her home 2 days. What do I tell her if she asks me for you"

" please tell mom that I am busy trying to get dad out of jail.. rest I will explain her later"

Astha cuts down the call and starts her work.. She keeps on working with her sickness...

Astha keeps looking at the clock and is very fast.. Shlok looks at her from his cabin and smirks.. he feels like a winner..

Shlok looks at the clock.. its 5 minutes to 4... Suddenly astha knocks and enters the cabin.. " I have completed all the work" and hands over all the files ...

"sir can I go now.. I need to visit the police station" Astha asks

" ur PA duty is over astha .. but your wife duty has started" shlok says with a smile

" what.. what do u mean" Astha looks dissatisfied

Shlok takes his coat and grabs Astha's hand and starts walking out and takes her to the car... " lets go home and I will tell u what I mean"

Shlok and Astha reach home..

The house has been decorated inside with flowers etc..

Astha looks surprised... "whats all this?"

Shlok smiles and says " we got married yesterday astha.. don't we need to tell our friends"

Astha is shocked...

" we have a party tonight.. just about 50 people.. which includes some people from press and media and some friends.."

Astha looks at him as though she is just not understanding what is happening

" u have to make dinner for all.. that's it"

Astha looks in disbelief " what !!! me?"

" yes darling.. actually the cook went on leave .. just this morning.. so we need to feed all the guests right.. so u have to make all the food for tonight.. u have enough time to do everything.. but if u choose to not do then..." and Shlok walks away without completing the sentence..

But astha understood his blackmail...

Astha was getting more and more sick.. But at the moment she had no choice.. her parents were at stake and they have done a lot for her all their life..

Astha walked upto the kitchen and starts seeing all the things that are kept there for preparation.. she puts her dupatta around her waist and starts cooking..

The clock strikes hour after hour.. Astha keeps looking at the clock and keeps cooking .. making rice, rotis, curries and sweet dishes.. all that was ordered by shlok to make..

Astha starts running some temperature too.. She picks up a glass of water and continues with her work... and manages to finish cooking..

She rushes to the room and dresses up as shlok instructed and joins him to meet the guests...

So many people are present at the house function.. everyone is congratulating shlok, astha , NA and anjali...

NA has a fake smile on his face and is disgusted and angry on what shlok is doing.. Anjali asks him to relax..

Varad is also present and is uninterested totally

Shlok announces to press " I would like everyone to meet my newly wedded wife Ms. Astha kirlos... ah ha Mrs.Astha Shlok Agnihotri" And holds her tight from the shoulder..

Astha feels uncnfortable and is not happy with shloks gesture either

The media people click pictures and congratulate them..

Shlok turns to astha " aren't u happy me dear wife .. u r famous now too"

Astha is embarrassed...

Finally all the guests left..Its very late night.. NA and anjali go away to their respective rooms...

Astha and shlok are left alone in the hall.. " So how was the party.. hope u enjoyed it completely" Shlok taunts astha

Astha starts to walk away .. just then shlok holds her hand

" where are u going astha.. who is gonna clean everything and set back my.. oh sorry our house to normal"

Astha is taken aback..

Shlok starts walking to his room.. " I want the house completely cleaned and in normal condition"

Astha is in tears.. She has been unwell and shlok has been making her work the whole day and now even this..

But astha knew that shlok is taking all the anger on her..

She started picking up all the things and started cleaning the house and kitchen..

Its 6 am and astha manages to finish all the work.. She sits down to have some tea...

She keeps thinking about all the event happening with her and putsher head down on the dining table and closes her eyes..

Just then someone knocks on the table

Astha wakes up in a scare.. Its shlok..

" get ready we need to go to the office... I have a meeting and lots of work pending" shlok says strictly

Astha says " but I haven't slept all night and I am..."

" that's your problem astha.. u need to plan better" shlok interrupts her

Astha is running temperature and cold and cough.. she dint sleep at all...

Teary eyed astha got ready and left to office.. She reaches the office to find a huge bundle of work ready on her table..

Astha is upset and irritated.. She is extremeky sick now. Her face has turned red and she is almost a zombie without sleeping and resting..

Varad creeps near the office and sees astha's condition and tells himself " I need to plan something soon.. this is a good chance"

Astha and shlok are back home after the days work..

Astha is tired and sick... She goes to the room and starts washing her face..

Shlok comes there and says astha to prepare a coffee for him and closes the bathroom door..

Astha changes her clothes and starts walking towards the kitchen.. She is just not in senses due to her health ..

Shlok sees her walking to the kitchen and feels bad for her.. but then he immediately puts his mask on and walks to the hall and pens his laptop..

Suddenly shlok smells something and ges completely panicked..

He looks at astha and screams " ASTHA... NOOO..."

Astha is abut to light the gas for making coffee...

Shlok runs and pulls Astha from the gas and they both fall down.. Shlok gets up screams " Babu... manick..."

The servants come running.. and they put off the gas and start opening the windows..

" don't u have the slightest sense astha.. there is so much smell of gas.. u could have died.." shlok says and looks back to see astha lying on the floor unconscious

Shlok gets a guilt on him .. he worriedly calls out " Astha.. Astha"... he picks her up in his arms and takes her to his room.. He feels her bosy is boiling with temperature

He puts her on his bed and puts the blanket on her..

He starts getting restless and starts to rub her hands and face to bring her back to conciousness.. She doesn't wake up..

He calls the doctor to see her..

Shlok feels bit guilty of being too harsh with astha .. he starts to fight with his inner self..

He caresses her face and moves off her hair from her face.. she looks so beautiful and serene.. so peaceful he thinks..

He lies down next to her and goes off to sleep looking at her..
