I, along with a lot of ArVians, have been waiting for Arjun for find out Purvi is pregnant. But, it still hasn't happened yet, because of different reasons. And I totally don't support Onir in trying to tell Arjun about Purvi, it's like why do you care? And the only one going to get hurt here is Arjun and Purvi. Purvi, probably more, because she doesn't even know that Onir was going to do that. But, I guess everything happens for a reason. Anyways, here goes. Enjoy!
Purvi was playing with Pari, and she had made up her mind that she was going to tell everything to Arjun. And she was actually very happy.
Arjun barged into his and Purvi's bedroom. He threw his coat on the couch, and sat down, furious.
Purvi saw him enter, and walked up to him. She put her hand on her stomach and the other on his shoulder, and said, "Arjun, I want to tell you something."
Arjun stood up abruptly, catching Purvi off guard, and said, "What is that you wanna tell me?"
Purvi was surprised, and asked him, "What happened?"
Arjun replied, "You! You did what put me in this mood. First, you deliberately disobey me and put our safety in jeopardy. And break the trust between us. And now, when I am mad, you do something that I'd never expected." Purvi asked, "what did I do? I don't understand." Arjun, "Oh really? Isn't it because of our fight that Onir came to me to tell me to stop acting the way I am. You had to bring someone in our matters to try fix our issues. I didn't think you would discuss our personal matters with other people and try to get them to make me understand."
Purvi was in a shock as to how Onir would do something like that. She tried to explain, "Arjun, I didn't tell Onir about our fight. I met him by accident and then one thing led to another... And we were discussing..."
Arjun, "I don't care as to what you guys were doing, but you have hurt me even more by what you did, Purvi."
Purvi, "Arjun listen to me."
She tried to grab a hold of his arm to try to get him to stop from walking away.
But Arjun didn't care, he grabbed her hand that was holding his arm, and pushed it away, causing Purvi to fall on the couch. By the time she stood back up, Arjun had left the room and was walking out the door. Purvi followed him but in her rushed slipped on the wet floor, the servants were cleaning.
2 hours later
Arjun walked into his house and found Pari's nanny, Shikha, sitting on the couch with Pari on her lap, sleeping. He was surprised to see Pari with Shikha rather than Purvi.
He came up to Shikha, who was somehow relieved to see him, and when he was about to ask her about Purvi, Shikha said, "Thank God, you are here, Sir. We were worried as to where you were, we tried calling you but our calls didn't get through, and we were so tensed and Purvi ma'm..."
Arjun, "Wait a minute, why were trying to call me? And where is Purvi? And what happened?"
At that time, all the servants came into the living room, after listening to Arjun's voice. Arjun was surprised to see everyone so rushed and tensed in front of him. He looked around, but didn't see Purvi.
He asked again, "Whats going on? Where's Purvi? And why are you all so tensed? Shikha? What happened? Where's Purvi?" Shikha was unsure of how to tell Arjun, she put Pari down on the couch and stood up.
She was hesitant when she spoke, but Arjun's questioning gaze scared her. And it was necessary for him to know. "Arjun Sir, Purvi ma'm... Sir, She..."
Arjun, "Tell me, Shikha! What happened?"
Just then, DK walked out of Arjun and Purvi's bedroom. He saw Arjun, and he infuriated. He walked into the living room, and Arjun saw him.
And Arjun spoke, "Dad, what happened? Where is Purvi? And why is everyone so tensed?"
DK, looked around, and said, "If you all could please leave us alone. Thank you." Arjun was confused as to what the hell was going on.
After everyone left, he asked DK again, "What happened Dad? Why are you all..."
He stopped when DK's hand came flying across to his face. That's right, DK had slapped him.
And Arjun was shocked.
Arjun, "Dad, Why did you do that?"
DK, "I did it for a reason, Arjun. And now I am going to show you that reason"
DK grabbed Arjun's arm and dragged him to ArVi's room.
As soon as they entered, Arjun saw Purvi laying on their bed, and a doctor checking Purvi. Arjun was shocked to see Purvi like that.
DK dragged him out of his room, and yelled, "Just what were you thinking? Huh? Why are you treating that poor girl so badly? Why would you do that? I know that she has made a mistake, but she has apologised for it countless amount of times. But you are punishing her, even when she is in a state where she can't handle any stress. Now, by doing this, you are making a much bigger unforgivable mistake. I didn't expect this of you Arjun."
Arjun, very worried and guilty, "Dad... What's happened to Purvi? Is she okay?"
DK, "I got a call, a little over an hour ago, from Hari Kaka saying that Purvi has slipped on the floor and has lost consciousness. And that they have tried to call you but they can't reach you. So, I called a doctor and called him home and I too rushed home. And since then, the doctor has been checking Purvi."
Arjun, worried, "What did he say?"
DK, in a disgusted voice, "Don't tell me you don't know." He walked away and went into his room, leaving Arjun confused.
Arjun, now in a roller coaster of confused, worried, and guilty, rushed into his room to talk to the doctor.
He watched Purvi with concern as the doctor was performing his tests.
After a few minutes when the doctor was done, Arjun went up to him, and asked, "How is Purvi?"
Dr. Sharma said, "She's fine now, but she is still extremely weak. I have prescribed her a few medicines, please make sure that she takes them regularly, it very important for her."
"Okay, I will make sure of that." Arjun replied.
"Mr. Arjun, would you mind if we had a chat?" Dr. Sharma asked.
"Sure." Arjun said.
He directed him to the couch in his room, and they both sat down.
"Mr. Kirloskar, as per what I have heard, you and your wife had recently been in a fight. Am I right?" Doctor asked.
"Yes, doctor, but it is our personal matter, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't interfere." Arjun said bluntly.
"I have no interest in your personal life, Mr. Kirloskar, but that incident has affected Mrs. Kirloskar in a negative manner. As per my tests, it shows that she has barely eaten anything for the past three days, resulting in her weakness. And plus, her condition is making matters worse." Dr. Sharma informed.
" I don't what you are trying to say." Arjun said, confused.
"Mr. Kirloskar, as far as I know, you have a 7 month old daughter. And I am pretty sure, that you know that stress or any kind of strain is extremely harmful during pregnancy. And that's what's happening, Purvi is stressed, and that is making her body become weaker, than it already is." Dr. Sharma said.
Arjun was quiet for the next 5 minutes just trying to process what the doctor had just said. He was happy about the fact that Purvi was pregnant, but also guilty because when she needed him the most, he wasn't there for her. He was just in a daze.
Dr. Sharma says, "From the look on your face, I can tell that you didn't know about this. Well, now you know. I am gonna leave, and I have left you a list of what foods will be the best for her right now. Oh, and I have given her a few strong doses of medicines, so I would say that she might wake up late at night, or early morning, but if she isn't up till late tomorrow morning, then call me. I will take your leave now."
He stood up and started to leave.
And Arjun too stood up to see him off, but Dr. Sharma said, "No, please don't. I will find my way out, take care of your wife. I will see you later."
They shook their hands and the doctor left.
After that, Arjun walked to his bed where Purvi lay. He sat on the bed beside her and lovingly stroke her hair. He stayed there for an hour just next to Purvi, taking care of her, adjusting her pillow, and blanket, making sure she was feeling okay.
Then, when he heard Pari, crying, he went downstairs and took her from her nanny. He fed her, and took care of her and also put her to sleep.
After she was sound asleep, he put her in her crib in their room.
And he also ordered the cook to make soup for Purvi.
After which, he went back into his bed and lay next to Purvi with his hand on her stomach.
He soon found himself falling asleep, so he decided to do some work, to keep himself up.
He didn't want to risk falling asleep and not being able to be there when Purvi woke up, and then feeding her. He wanted to make sure that he was there for her and that she was healthy and happy. He felt extremely guilty of his behaviour the past few days and he decided to make sure that his wife will now get his full and undivided attention. He was going to make sure that he was there for her in every step of Purvi's pregnancy, because he wasn't there for her with Pari, he wasn't going to miss anything with this baby. He was overwhelmed with joy, but he still didn't think that he deserved it considering how he had treated her, so he was going to apologise to her as soon as she woke up and shared his happiness with Purvi.
At about 3:00 in the morning, Arjun was working on his laptop. It was surprising that he was working considering that he had called off all the meetings he had the next few days and had made arrangements to make sure that his work day was close to half a day shorter.
But still, he was working on his laptop, and he kept on glancing back at Purvi, to make sure she was okay, and to keep an eye to when she woke up.
Then, Purvi turned and moved. Arjun sensed that she may wake up, so he rushed downstairs to warm up the soup that he had gotten made for her.
When Purvi opened her eyes, she was kind of hazy as to what had happened to her. In the light coming from Arjun's laptop next to her she saw Pari in her crib and of course Arjun's laptop. She saw his wallet and keys on the nightstand. But Arjun was no where in sight.
She tried to get up but she was so weak that she couldn't. She was concerned as to where Arjun was.
Just then, the lights came on, and she saw Arjun in his black T-shirt and track pants walk up to her with a smile on his face and a tray in his hand.
He came next to her, put the tray on the night stand, and kneeled down.
He stroked her hair, and asked, "How are you feeling?"
"Okay."
"Hmm... Listen, I am sorry for the way I have been acting these past few days. I took things too far and..." He stopped when Purvi put her fingers on his lips.
"No, don't apologise. I was the one who was wrong. I shouldn't have lied to you. I feel horrible for what I did. And you are right in treating me the way you are. I shouldn't have broken your trust. And... I am sorry."
"I guess, we are both wrong. I shouldn't have been so harsh. I mean, you apologised, tried to talk to me, try to explain to me, and I just treated you like you were nobody. I didn't listen to anything you had to say." Arjun admitted.
"Anyways, you are weak, and you need to eat. I know that you haven't ate anything for the past 3 days. And now, I will make sure you finish the whole thing." Arjun said with a mean face.
"But Arjun... I..."
"No, ifs or buts, just eat and then we will talk, I promise."
With that he put a spoonful of soup in her mouth.
After a few sips, Purvi asked, "Have you eaten anything?"
To that, Arjun hesitantly answered, "yeah."
"You know you can't lie to me."
Purvi took the spoon from his hand and fed a few spoonfuls to Arjun.
After a while, they were done, and then Arjun forced Purvi to have her medicines.
He then, made her lay back down on the bed. He covered her with the blanket, and then laid down next to her.
"Arjun, I have been trying to tell you something for a few days now, but something has been getting in the way."
As soon as Purvi said that, Arjun knew exactly what she'd meant.
But he still pretended to not to know. "Hmm... What is it?" He asked.
Purvi took his hand and put it on her stomach.
"Do you feel anything?" She asked
"Yeah..." He said
"Really?" She asked excitedly.
"Yeah" Arjun said in a matter-of-fact manner.
"What is it that you feel then?" She asked
"I feel a key." He said honestly
"A key?" Purvi chuckled
"Uh-huh... A key... A key to a feeling of satisfaction, hope, happiness, pure bliss, excitement and my family."
"Explain" Purvi demanded
"Well, satisfaction of being there for you through both your pain and joy. Hope of a bright future and to become a good father. Happiness of having a perfect and complete family. A Pure bliss of feelings that I never experienced before. Excitement of welcoming someone new. Family for you, Pari, me and the very new addition to our family." He smiled.
Purvi smiled as she turned to face him and bury her face in the crook of his neck.
"I love you." Arjun said
"I love you too"
I know that this is probably not that great, but I did my best! I hope you thought it was okay too.
