Kaadhalanin Poraattam

Kallooriyin vannamayamana soolalil

Naan kanden en vannamigu ethirkaalathin kanaakkal

En meedhu urimai konda en Kaadhaliyodu!

Dinam Dinam Pudhiya malar pol thondrinal En kangaluku

Nan mattume Urimai konda anda malar degathinai

Kasaki erinduvittanar Manida porvaiyil vaalum mirugangal

Indru Aval Kallaraiyil Dinam Puthiya malagal vaithu selgiren

Poradugiren En pondra kanaa kanda

Kaadhalargalin Kanavu maipada!!

Meaning:

In the Colorful surroundings of the college,

I saw colorful dreams of my Future

with my lover who has all rights on me

She looked like a new bloomed flower to my eyes

But some Animals living in Human face

Crushed and threw her body which was only mine

Today I Keep new flower On her grave

And Fight for those Lover's dreams to come true

Who are also dreaming their future with their better halves!!

This is for the Boy who fought for the Victim's justice in Delhi..He was also so brave. he never left the girl's side even after he was injured so badly. I'd like to bow my head before that boy who stood for the girl throughout. where today many boys leave their girls for just ordinary reasons.👏👏

Another beautiful poem by you Meenu. I am amazed how beautifully and easily you portray such complex emotions in your poems in few lines:)

Indeed a mother does so many things for her daughter and what do these mother go through when just because of some insensitive jerks they have to loose their daughters. Such an unfortunate truth of our society.

Again a great one by you. As much as I felt bad for that guy who went through this trauma, I admired his strength of fighting for the girl. It has and it will always inspire me to go on in life and fight for the right thing.
