Ranveer Singh finally finds his co-stars

Zoya Akhtar has been toying with the idea of making a multi-starrer family film for a long time now. There was buzz that the director was planning to cast her favourite actors Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, then came reports of Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan being pitted against each other as siblings for the first time.

A few months ago Akhtar was not sure whom to cast as her lead actor; she had two options - Ranveer Singh and Pulkit Samrat (Fukrey). The filmmaker settled for the Ram-Leela star and then followed speculations as to who would play Singh's love interest, with Anushka Sharma's name being tossed in by the press once Kareena quit the project. Also, we heard that Anil Kapoor was likely to play Ranveer's father, but Zoya had not decided who would work best as Singh's mother - Sridevi or Madhuri Dixit Nene!

If a leading trade weekly report is indeed true, Zoya has pulled off a casting coup - the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director has signed Jaanbaaz actors Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia to play Ranveer's parents and has roped in Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma for the roles of Singh's sister and ladylove respectively. Hmm... quite an interesting line-up, Zoya! We hear that the film will begin shoots in April next year.

it will be interesting to see Ranveer and Anushka create magic as a jodi after Band Baaja Baaraat. Veterans Anil and Dimple will be a cute older couple.

Maybe Priyanka and Ranveer will be foster siblings. There is no way one can project those two as coming from the same gene pool.

dimple and anil returns on screen as a couple ok two thumbs up for this 👍🏼 great casting zoya i like the cast. but i do think ranbira and bebo would have looked really good as siblings convincing too, dont know how priyanka and ranveer can pass off as siblings.

Let's wait to see how Ranveer-Priyanka work out as siblings. So far Ranveer has puled off so many avatars and characters. With each movie he only shows his credibility as an actor so I wouldn't doubt him so easily.
