Sounds quite like Dil Ye Bekarar Kyon Hai song by Mohit Chauhan in the Abhishek-Sonam starrer Players.

Almost all big albums in second half have been disappointing

The whole point of Dhoom is to be cool and badass
none of these songs fit the bill

D2 songs initially had a thanda response too (except for Dhoom title song and Crazy Kiya Re) but after the picturization, Dil Lag Na got a better response as well as that Ali song. Maybe the same might happen here too?!
