Alright, so here is my two cents, as an extremely big fan of Season 1 and Arshi/Sarun I hesitated initially to start watching season 2 as I didn't really think that Arshi magic could be recreated. But after watching it, I realized that this is entirely a new show, the concept, the background, the storyline, the plot, the characters etc.

And Ashlok is not supposed to recreate season 1 magic rather they should create their own magic. I have now watched each and every episode of this show and I am absolutely glued to my Ipad screen.

Now, in relation to Friday's episode, that was absolutely awesome, mind-blowing and overwhelming in every aspect the acting, the way the scenes were executed and enacted. Kudos to the director, camera crew, dialogue writers and last but certainly not least the actors. They were magnificent! Applause!

I think as the majority of the members here in that Shlok is playing with her and will get his revenge. As his self-image, ego is extremely important to him. He staged everything but got affected at the last minute when he found himself being slightly attracted to her and lost his temper. But as Shlok has been show hitherto, I doubt that this is more than just an attraction, he might feel guilty for a while for his sudden outburst but I doubt that he would actually fall in love this fast. He is a man with a dark past, he has nightmare and is deeply affected by that day and night. A girl that just irritated him to the core some days ago cannot make him to become all lovey-dovey. And I personally think that men like Shlok can't become a chocolate boy, they will always be this rough and intense. He is quite reserved and doesn't say much at least if he doesn't lose it. In that sense he is like his father, NA when they lose it they lose it. I think that this is a personality trait that Aastha might learn to tolerate at first in order to be able to control him somewhat later on.

Anyways, it is a very known fact that as soon as the leads are in love and confess the story is turned into a saas-bahu show and I dreading that track right now as Anjali is that typical saas so I really hope that CVs can come try to not go that way. It will ruin the show.

I would like to see more focus on the leads, Ashlok and NA. I think that NA is an extremely interesting character and he enacts his part very convincingly so as of now it is NA and Shlok on the one hand and Aastha on the other but later on I want NA on one side and Ashlok on the other.

But most importantly, I want Shlok to change very slowly; I don't want any sudden changes over the night.

Usually I am a silent reader of the forum; I post things very rarely myself but enjoy reading all the OS, FFs and all the other analysis of the show. So keep up the good work guys!

I will stop my nonsense now and await the episode eagerly now!

Yup.
In fact, they don't even have to wait to confess it to each other... as long as the audience is shown that they have realized they love the other person, the MIL-DIL drama is the usual follow up... various other ILs adding their two-cents to it.🤢
If...WHEN (sigh) that happens, I'll likely quit the show.
Yes, NA is the most interesting character in the show. So is Unjuli, but in the form of a victim-turned-perpetrator. I'd like to see more of them, too, but not in the MIL-DIL drama format.
Would be good if they show Aasttha fighting for Unjuli.
And yes, no sudden changes for Shloak overnight.
We want to see a nice, slow turnaround. Personal angst is all good.

I would love to see a slow build up to the love story, I want to see Shlok's dark side fighting his attraction towards Aastha and once in a while his inner demon erupting all over Aastha (not like that you dirty minded people).
For me there is nothing interesting about saus/bahau drama especially when the so called "Hero" turns a blind eye to the torture that happens within his four walls cos MIL is the head of the household 🤢

Cyrine, welcome to the forum :)
glad that you decided to give this show a chance & liked it.

Coming to the story/Ashlok/NA - yes, it is very different, & rather interesting.
NA (the actor & the character) are interesting to watch. The way he has such a 'calm' yet dark & manipulative streak to him.
This is probably the 1st show where despite loving the leads, I look forward to watching the family scenes (esp. Agnihotris) more because I love the suspense & the subtleness in their scenes. They speak little, but everything is illustrated through their eyes, & through their small little actions.
Anjali may look like a typical saas on the surface, but from what we've seen in the past 1 month, I doubt that she is. As much as she is to blame for whatever that's happened & is happening in the family, it is very clear that she has been manipulated by NA. I feel sorry for her because she comes across as the one who is shooting the victim, but actually its NA behind her back who is compelling & forcing her to shoot.
Astha's presence in the household will hopefully bring her out of the robotic mode that NA has conditioned her to be & will probably teach her to live again.
Love is still far away. Thur/Fri were just some hints of attraction, but there is still a lot more for 'love' & then its realisation to happen.

loved your post :)

Agree! As soon as the love track starts and the audience get aware of their love, the show loses its essence and the rest is easily predicted. Then CVS have got themselves in a dead end track and there will be nothing left. I actually like shows where the attraction between the leads is very obvious but the love part, the open or the hidden confession should take a year or so. Because as soon as there is a confession even as you say the leads just are aware of their own feelings. The show gets so unvarying and foreseeable. It is not fun. I don't want them to become of aware of their feelings any time soon. I want them to be attracted to each other, Shlok can be as possessive as he wants to and he can be passionate as hell but please no love, not for a long, long time. This will make the show more interesting and we will look forward to watching it also.

And yes NA is surely a attention grabbing character he is immensely powerful in his household and is even worshipped by Shlok, so it will work fine as long as CVS keep away from the MIL-DIL tracks that most people are just feed up with.

Word! I also look forward a slow development, and I absolutely agree that Shlok should be on this attraction level for a long time until he can get over his past, until he can fight all his demons and still be Shlok, the same intense, reserved, calm, passionate but a more controlling regarding his sudden outbursts. All though I really enjoyed his sudden explosion and I wouldn't mind to see that Shlok some more times. Until he is aware of his temper and can control himself.

And the abuse topic that was discussed earlier, I don't really buy that because this is a character and everybody is not a chocolate boy. And if people are affected by the content of Friday's episode and if they are influenced in a negative way, then they shouldn't watch any movies or any serials or documentaries etc. I am not buying that argument. I am sorry but this is my own personal opinion. I love this show and this grey shaded character.

And yes, God the saas bahu theme is outdated, archaic and just tiresome.

Thank you dear 😊

Yes, me too, I am happy that I gave it a shot.

Niranjin is really a new kind of character that needs to be explored on TV; it is very rare that we get to see a dark, scheming, calculating persona like him. He has this immense influence on his entire household and especially his huge effect on Shlok.

He is so calm that at times that it is frightening to see how he is really feeling inside. And I guess he wants to make Shlok his successor both in business but also in character. He seems to be the driving force behind the whole vengeance scheme of Shlok.

But Shlok doesn't seem to be able to fight his demons like Niranjin fights his, rather Shlok loses his temper quite fast, perhaps not in front of his father but I feel that Aashta is going to be his punching bag from now on. Everything that goes wrong whether in business or in his private life, Shlok is going to take it all out on Aastha.

There should most definitely be attraction and lots of them but NO LOVE, not inner confessions nor any open confessions of any sort. The show will lose its essence.

Lovely post Cyrine
you scared me with your topic of saas bahu saga 😉
i just hope that it remains their love story or their journey together
dont want too many break up ideas to keep them apart months after months
i mean overdose of everything kills
so romance...then breakup...then realisation and again romance
okay okay one more break up allowed but after that...
i want them together and they can have difference of opinion in their married life
but no matter what this saas part will always remain in the story
like today..Anjali was a hitler saas
and am sure Sojal will bounce back some time or the other.
and astha if she gets married to Shlok have to deal with saas and super saas that is NA
but this serial has a lot of potential characters wise
so many interesting characters which we all are interested in
folds by folds lets open all the package
but i need my daily dose of romance no matter what . 😳

Welcome here.
Saas-bahu syndrome is the worst disease on Indian telly land. Let's once again hope this doesn't happen. NA as all here confirms is an intriguing character. Each day he manages to confuse the viewers. Anjali seems more and more like the typical saas. These two are to watch out for.
Shlok is grey character and that's enjoyable in its own way.
Your and another members post has me thinking. Maybe that display of anger has it's place. More than the display it's the later reaction of the female that affects me like in today's episode Astha seems to have all together forgotten about it. That is a discrepancy in my view. She should at least flinch when seeing him right? I found this more odd than the physical abuse. The abuse maybe was necessary to show Shlok's screwed state of emotions. But Astha's reaction is highly disappointing.
Hoping to see you around.
Regards
Nidha.
