Sushant said that SRK inspired him to act, as he has grown up watching SRK's movies and dancing to his songs, like all of us. In all his interviews, he has maintained that it is his Irrfan Khan who he wants to be like, with regards to the way he gets into the skin of his character. So it is quite obvious where his priorities lie.As for the whole actors vs stars thing, Sushant explained it well in his interviews with Open Magazine as well as BOI- his priority lies in good work, good scripts, good roles. Endorsements and all that come along with are an added bonus, not the main focus itself. He didn't say he doesn't want money or is against the endorsements that he is being offered. As he himself said, no one minds a a bit of money, a fancy car, or a house along the journey. But that is not where his main interests lie or that is not his priority for choosing roles is what he tries to say when he says he wants to be an actor, not a star. He can give his arm for a good role but isn't really running after endorsements and stuff, this is his point.
