Part 3

At Shlok's home.. Everyone is at the dinner table. His step mom is serving dinner. Just then Varad says " Dad I think we need to rethink about the free seats and schlorships we give everyyear. They are way too many. Moreover we should increase the fees in our schools. I have heard that Motilal institutes take donations for admissions and are making lots of money"

Shlok gives an irritated look to varad and says " y do u need more money ? so that u can increase the number of girls u date and throw more party for ur useless friends."

Varad " But dad..."

Shlok gives a complete angry stern look and varad just stops his nonsense.

Varad to himself " don't worry bro.i will make sure the next time u ask me permission for ur pocket money too."

Just then Shlok's step mom comes and says " I think we need to think about our sons marriage. I think shlok has reached his marriageable age and we should see someone for him"

NA nods and smiles and looks at shlok " Shlok ur mom is right. You must think about ur marriage. It will reduce ur lonliness."

Shlok is irritated " oh dad please. U know I don't like to say no to u. But in this case please don't force me. I am not interested in marriage"

Anjali interrupts " Shlok we will find a good match for u"

Shlok says in anger " What kind of a good match u will find for me? One who has left her husband and will marry me. Just like you and my mom. ?? "

NA and anjali is taken aback with shloks words.

Shlok pushed his dinner plate and walked out.

NA walks into Shloks room and sees him having a drink in the verandah.He walks upto him and puts his hand n his shoulder

Shlok says " Am sorry dad I dint want to remind u of ur past and hurt u. But please dad u know what I feel about this whole thing of marriage"

Na smiles and says " I know my son what u have gone through. Ur mom left us for another man. But now its 15 year since then. I married anjali so that u get the love of a mother and she takes care of all ur needs. Anjali needed me to father her son. Her X husband was not a good man so she left him. Look just forget the past and think about what ur mother said."

Shlok is teary eyed. He starts thinking. He flash backs when he was 12 years old. It was a winter evening and he saw his parents fighting in the hall. He just stood on the staircase and heard. His mother saying " I am leaving this house and u for good. Just because of shlok I have kept quiet for so many years but now no more."

Couple of days later they filed a divorce. And one day his mother just left with her bags. He came running down the stairs to stop her and held her hand.

His mother teary eyed told him "son I need to go. U need t be with ur father." She just pushed away his hand and sat into a car and went away.

In the last 15 years he never heard from her. But he saw his father drinking and telling him that his mother left both of them. His father tried calling her many times for shlok to speak to her but she never answered the calls. She never replied any of his letters.

Shlok kept remembering his fathers words and in anger he breaks the glass in his hand. Suddenly he comes out of his flashback and rests his head on the chair with teary eyes.

He said to himself "I will never forgive u mom"

guys please tell me if u are liking the story. The next part will have first meeting of astha and shlok. its going to be a hate love story> u will surely enjoy their journey

Part 4

Astha reaches the doors of her new office.. She just stands there and sees the big board reading " AGNIHOTRI GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS". Her heart beats faster and faster. She starts remembering the day she first saw shlok. And two months later she was the college topper and her principal handed over the letter of offer from agnihotri institutions. It was her dream come true.

Astha walks into the doors and looks around for help. Finally she reaches the HR department and collects her joining letter. It says "Personal Assistant to MD - Mr.Shlok Agnihotri". Astha blushes and smiles.

The manager takes her to Shloks room and asks her to wait there. Astha walks around the room. As she notices the name tag on the table " Shlok Agnihotri". Astha touches it and wipes it with her dupatta and smiles.

Just then a guy enters the room. He asks her " Who are you maam. Noone is allowed in Shlok sirs room"

Astha tells him smilingly " Am his new personal Assistant. Joined today and the HR manager asked me to wait here for Shlok sir to come"

The man smiles and hands over a Award trophy to her and tells her " This is Shlok sir's . IT has to be kept in his display. Since u are is assistant now. U can do it." And he point towards the huge vault of trophies and accolades won by Shlok and Agnihotri Institutions.

Astha is unsure, but she takes the award trophy from the guy and he leaves.

She is totally confused about what to do. But anyways she looks at the vault and finds an empty space on the top. Astha smiles and looks around.

Finally she dragges and table and a chair and keeps the chair on the table and climbs up to place the award..

Astha goes on her toes to reach the empty space. As she almost reaches the space and keeps the trophy. She smiles of her job and suddenly slips.

Astha has her eyes tightly closed and her lips presses against each other in nervousness. Just then she starts relaxing her eyes with the faint aroma of perfume. Her hands clutching the collars and smooth fabric near her cheek. She could feel strong arms holding her tightly. She opens her eyes slowly as her heartbeats increase..As her view clears seeing Shloks face. She clutches his collar tightly in nervousness and she can feel his breathe to her face. Astha goes speechless.

Suddenly someone knocks at the door. Shlok just puts Astha down. They have an awkward moment. Astha neatens her hair and tries to say something. Shlok's pune enters and hands over some letters.

Shlok shouts loudly " Who the hell is this girl and what is doing in my cabin?

Astha interrupts " Sir, am newly appointed as your assistant. Here is my joining letter. Actually I was trying to keep that..."

Shlok interrupts after reading the letter " ok ok. Just leave from here". He calls a guy from his office and asks him to train her.

Shlok tells her " I hate people who interfere in my space without my permission. The next time u better be aware"

As astha steps out she bumps into Varad in the door. She gives an irritated look to him and excuses herself.

Varad enters and asks Shlok " Who is that ?"

Shlok says " My new assistant, Astha Kirloskar"

Astha asks the staff accompanying her " Who is he?"

He says " He is Mr.Varad Agnihotri. Shlok sirs brother."

Astha listens lifting her eyebrows.

Astha takes a walk in the college.

She says to herself " Shlok sir has given me this assignment. Hope I will do it correctly". She looks for the principals cabin.

She meets the Principal Mr.Khanna and introduces herself " Mr.Khanna, I am astha , Mr.Shlok Agnihotri's personal assistant. I have joined couple of days back. He has sent me here to speak to u regarding some happenings in this college"

The principal looks at her in surprise and says " am sorry miss, Astha. I think you have some wrong information'. There is no problems in the college. Its absolutely disciplined no complaints either"

Astha gives a confused look and says " no Mr.Khanna, actually couple of weeks back a girl was found injured and hospitalized. Although she has given a statement that she fell from the stairs and about an accident. Someone has given some information that it was more than just an accident. I think you must probe into the matter"

Mr.Khanna smiles " No I don't think there is any problem. But still since sir wants to know. I will investigate from my end and send him a report"

Astha nods and leaves. As she walks out of the gate suddenly she sees that she dropped one file inside the gate. She bends down to take her file and notices Varad in the college campus, Talking to someone. She thinks something and leaves.

Part 5

Astha enters shloks office. As she knocks " may I come in sir"

Shlok " come in"

Astha says " sir I have asked the principal to give all the details and he will do that by tomo. And one more thing I want to tell u.I saw your brother there in the college'

Shlok is irritated " He works for this institutions so he can go anywhere he wants. So what"

Astha thought that he may be right and leaves.

Shlok tells astha " Next week we have an annual event with all the main members of Agnihotri institutions. We need to prepare a presentation and there is lots of work" and looks at astha

Astha says "ok sir,what do we have to do". Astha wonders y does this guy does not even give a look at her and feels that there is no chance for her.

Shlok says " we will go home in the evening and make the presentations. Bring all the important files" and hands over a list of stuff to her.

Astha nods and leaves

Astha walking in the corridor with lots of files and suddenly drops them. She bends down to pick them up. Just then Varad come and starts helping her. Astha gives him a small smile not really inviting him to help. But Varad smiles at her cunningly and starts picking up the files.

Slowly he moves his hand near her and holds her hand. Astha pushes his hand away and gets up.

Varad says " Oh sorry . I was just picking up the files for u. Dint see ur hand" and smiles

Astha makes an angry face and just walks away with her files.

Varad says to herself " pretty girl. Will fish u soon"

Astha and shlok busy with the presentation work at agnihotri mansion in evening. Its raining heavily outside.

Shlok asks her to wait and she is sitting in the hall.

Shlok gets a call from his father NA " Son we are stuck in this place . Its raining heavily and roads are blocked. We will reach by tomorrow"

( actually NA and wife have gone to Mumbai for some work)

Shlok Asks astha to leave. Astha walks out and waits for an auto.

Shlok all alone at home and suddenly the bell rings.

He opens the door " tum? Wapas kyu aa gayi"(y did u come back)

Astha all drenched " Sir its raining too heavily and flooded. Am unable to get a rikshaw"

Shlok doesn't like it but asks her to come in. As she is sitting she is feeling cold and rubbing her hands. Shlok is working on his laptop.

Astha is looking here and there and Shlok suddenly offers her a towel.

Astha stands up "Thanks sir"

Shlok says " dry urself. Anyways that u have come back so lets finish our work."

Astha gives an irritated expression as Shlok turns away to his room.

Astha follows..

She gets an idea " Shlok sir, we cant do this work. Am all drenched"

He asks her to pick a dress from his mothers cupboard and wear it.

Astha starts to look for some dress in anjali's cupboard. She can find only sarees. Finally she sees some clothes folded and kept on a sofa near by. She sees a yellow kurta.

She smiles and picks it up and wears it. Not realizing it belngs to shlok. J

Astha enters Shloks room. He is busy on the laptop " So have u found some clothes? Come and sit here and complete the work. I need no excuses" and suddenly looks up and is totally lost in Astha

It was as if he had felt a feeling that he dint feel in so many years. He just couldn't take his eyes off her. Astha was looking like a fresh bud.he hair was wet and open. She was wearing this yellow kurta, slightly loose but that enhanced her sooo much

Shlok was trying hard not to look at her. Suddenly he got up and asked " where did u get this kurta. Its not my moms"

Astha " am sorry sir. I couldn't find any dress for me in her cupboard. Only sarees were there. This was kept folded on the sofa nearby so I wore it.

Shlok asks her to sit far away and gives her some work. HE gets busy with his laptop. As its thundering outside. Shlok keeps looking at Astha totally mesmerized by her beauty. He is trying hard to focus n his work but.. Astha suddenly looks at him " Sir wat happened?"

Shlok says " Nothing, Dint eat any dinner" and turns his chair in opposite direction and does his work so that he cant see her.

After sometime.. suddenly a bowl appears in front of his face. He sees that its Maggi that astha has made for him.

He is surprised " whats this?"

"magi, u haven't eaten anything as yet and this is all I could prepare so fast. We cant work without eating can we?' says astha smiling

Shlok starts dictating some work. He turns his chair away and dictates s that he cant see her. Astha unable to hear moves closer to him and sits on his bed and starts taking notes.

Shlok keeps dictating and suddenly he cant hear any sound from astha;s side. He turns...

She is asleep..Shlok looks at her with soft eyes. Astha looks like a beautiful angel totally mesmerizing in her sleep. Child like innocence on her face. So peaceful ...

Shlok comes closer and softly calls her " Astha.. Astha.."

She doesn't wake up. He stands up and put his hands on his hip and frowns for a second. Then he slowly takes the blanket and puts it on her. As he does that he notices a chain in her neck with initials "SA" on it.He gives a surprised smirk and goes and continues with his work.

He lies down on his comforter and keeps looking at astha and sleeps too.

Astha wakes up and starts stretching her arms. Suddenly she realizes that she is in some other house. She remembers that she is in agnihotri house and slept in Slokhs bed..

She gets out of the bed and goes and slowly changes.

She comes near shlok and finds him sleeping. She takes a blanket and slowly puts it on him. She looks at him and smiles with love And then takes all her stuff and leaves.

As she gets down the stairs of the house .. she is nervous.. shestarts walking fast and bumps into varad.

Astha starts going fast.

Varad taunts " So dear how was your night with ur boss"

Astha turns and gives a disgusted look at him

Varad says " don't be so surprised. I know u were here all night. Anyways its as usual for brother to have girls like u over every night. And middle class girls like u always look for a chance like this" he smirks

Astha disgusted and just leaves without speaking.she is upset but she leaves doesn't want t speak to cheap ppl like varad she thinks.

Shlok wakes up and sees that astha has left. He thinks about last night. Did he feel something new and was it really him last night.. He gets up and finds the kurta she was wearing last night which she had folded and kept. He picks it up and see it. He can feel a faint aroma from it.. suddenly he hears a knock at the door and his thoughts break. He throws the kurta in the bin.. he starts getting some images of his mother in his head.

He decides not to get disturbed again and keep away from astha.
