Sony Entertainment Television's Kehta Hai Dil... Jee Le Zara (Rose Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd.) will see the new entry of Sunil's (Gaurav Bajpai) elder sister in theatre artist Sarika Singh.
Sarika will essay the role of Neena, who is settled in USA with her husband. She basically comes down to be with her parents, and as a second approach gets to meet Saachi (Sangeeta Ghosh) and her family regarding Sunil's alliance with Prachi (Priyanka Bhole).
Neena is not a typical grey character, but has a sugar-coated tone to her talk. She is the decision maker in Sunil's house, and even her parents (essayed by Himayat Ali and Neelam Pathania) abide to her words. She meets Saachi and tells her that she wants the girl's side to get the marriage done in 8 days time. Saachi is shocked to hear this, and initially declines. However, Neena tells her that she would be leaving to USA in 8 days time, and if they miss getting the couple married now, they will have to wait for three more years for her to come back to India.
Saachi has no other option but to accept Neena's condition. She gives her acceptance and Sunil-Prachi's wedding gets fixed, to happen in one week's time.
When contacted, Sarika confirmed this news to Tellychakkar.com and said, "Yes, I play the elder sister to Sunil. I am basically a theatre artist, have done two films and also featured in CNN IBN's political satire, The Week That Wasn't. This is the first ever audition I gave for a daily soap and I got selected."
Sarika's entry is slated to happen tonight (25 September 2013).
