So is the Kangana fixation just a Zarina hangover for Aditya Panscholi? Zarina doesn't want to debate whether Aditya's attraction to Kangana has anything to do with the 19-year-old being a spitting image of his wife in her younger days.
Zarina says, "I don't know. It's pointless to think about such things. I don't think about such things or talk about them."
However, Zarina admits that a lot of people have remarked on the similarity between Kangana and her. "Many people — from family friends to complete strangers — have told me that Kangana resembles me. In fact, it started right after Gangster released. Some even asked if we were related!" she says.
However, the similarity seemed to have been given a miss by her husband and children. She says, "It's strange but they have never mentioned it."
When asked if she considers it a compliment to be compared to the much-younger actress, she scoffs, "It should be a compliment for Kangana, not for me.
Then again, I have no reason to be upset as she's a good-looking girl."
Bitter-sweet
On Sunday night, Aditya and Kangana were sitting next to each other at the Stardust Awards. When asked why she wasn't at her husband's side, Zarina explains, "I was shooting for Sahara's serial Zaara.
My track is changing from a sweet woman to a negative one. Woh andar se kuch aur hai…"
Zarina adds that she can never become so negative in real life. "I am like my parents. My parents were sweet, honest and down-to-earth people.
If you have to draw comparisons, draw it with them. I am very happy being compared to my parents, not anyone else."
