Ayra: I freed you!
Humaira looked at her abu waiting for his answer, "kya baat hai Abu kay aap humhe hamare janamdin ki Mubarak baat nahi denge". Gaffur smiled, his daughter was back, Ayaan, Rashid, Nikhat and nuzzat stood their shocked but happy, their Humaira the sweet innocent, bubbly girl was back that too on her birthday.
"zaroor denge, tumhe zanam din bohut bohut muabarak ho". Gaffur gushed hugging his daughter, "aur yahi nahi hum apni phool si bacchi ko party bhi denge". He smiled. Shirin walked towards Humaira and hugged her, "bohut bohut mubaarak aapko beta, aapne toh hume dara hi diya tha, likin hume bohut khushi hai ki aap bilkul thik hain". Shirin said in her chirpy voice.
"Thik hai, matlab, humhe kya hua tha?" Humaira asked confused looking from shirin to Rashid to nikhat. Ayaan looked at her confused; he then remembered what the doctor had told him, that when Humaira did realize who she was, she might forget her moments as Rajni, which is exactly what happened. Ayaan's felt shivers down his spine, if Humaira didn't remember her moment as Rajni meant that she didn't remember her moments with Ayaan, the hug, her feelings for Ayaan even as rajni, for some reason that upset Ayaan.
"Kuch nahi Humaira beta aapko kuch nahi hua, but Shirin toh aise hi, aapke janam din ki aapko bohut Mubarak". Rashid interrupted Ayaan's thought. Nikhat and Nuzzat hugged Humaira, "happy birthday Humaira baji", nikhat and nuzzat said.
Ayaan felt Rashid nudge him, he moved towards Humaira. "Happy birthday Humaira begum", Ayaan said trying to be his usual self, but it was difficult, now she was not the same Humaira that was his friend, she had become something more. "shukriya", Humaira said in a barely audible voice, Ayaan looked at her and noticed she was trying to avoid his gaze. "abu hume party ke saath saath tofa bhi chahiye" Humaira said turning towards her father. "bilkul beta, kya chahiye tumhe?" gaffur asked.
"Woh hum aapko baad mein batayenge likin appko vada karna hoga ki hum jo bhi maange aap humhe zaroor denge". Humaira said hopefull. "Of course beta, hum apni phool si beti ki har khwaish puri karenge". He said putting his hand on her head. "Shukriya abu, ab hum tyaar hoke aate hain". With that Humaira went back to her room. While everyone was glad that Humaira had come back and she was no longer Rajni, only Ayaan looked a little upset.
~Humaira entered her room and locked the door behind her, she looked herself in the mirror noticing the sindoor on her head and the mangalsutra that was sitting on the dressing table, she walked up to her bed, sat down, and started crying. She clearly remembered what Ayaan had told her that night that he didn't love her. During her bus ride all she could hear was Ayaan's voice telling her that he didn't love her. She felt her heart get shattered in that one moment.
But that was not only it, she remembered her moments as Rajni too, she had hugged Ayaan, even as being someone else her heart knew who she belonged with. She felt safer in Ayaan's arms than that imposter's who pretended to be her husband. But that didn't matter Ayaan did not hold the same feeling for her and nothing can force a person to fall in love she had to accept that. She stood up from her bed and wiped her tears off; she had to do this not only for Ayaan but for herself as well.
~ It was almost 5:00pm, the siddique house members were busy in decorations, Ayaan was working the hardest doing his best to make Humaira's birthday special. He made sure to get everything she liked, he had been trying to overcome the fact that she didn't remember the hug or the other moments with him all evening, but it still bothered him. He wanted to make everything to be perfect for her, maybe because the guilt that he had caused her so much pain was overwhelming him and he thought that if he did this for her she might forgive him, but Humaira had something else on her mind.
"Humaira baji aap aagayi, wow you look too amazing". Nuzzat said excitedly. Ayaan looked up, a smile spread across his face, for the first time he was noticing the women in Humaira, she was wearing a black suit with silver work, her hair were left open and put on one side, she looked amazing.
"Thanks", she whispered shyly, Ayaan noticed her cheeks turning pink, which made him realize that his Humaira begum was truly back. Everyone enjoyed the party, happy that one problem was finally solved. Gaffur smiled at his daughter and asked, "Toh Humaira beta kya tofa chahiye tumhe". Humaira took a deep breath looked at every family member that was present, she than looked at Ayaan, who noticed sadness in her eyes. She turned back to her father and looked at him, she took one deep breath in attempt to gather all the strength she could, "abu main chahati hun ki aap mera aur Ayaan ka nikkah tod de". Ayaan felt his world turn upside down, everyone were shocked as well.
"Humaira yeh aap kya keh rahi hain, hum jaante hain ki appki aur Ayaan ki ladai huyi thi, likin iska matlab yeh toh nahi ki aap rishta hi tod de?". Gaffur said sternly. "Abu please baat ladai ki nahi, Ayaan aur hum ek dusre se mohobbat nahi karte toh phir hum taamam umar saath kaise rahenge abu", she bitted each word, tears threatened to escape her eyes but she controlled herself. Ayaan looked at her why was she lying she loved him deeply, she had expressed her feeling towards him clearly, he had been too dumb to notice them. "Likin Humaira beta iss nikkah ke liye toh app dono raazi huye the toh ab aisa kya hoagaya hai?" Rashid asked. "Humne iss nikkah ke liye manjoori di thi sirf yeh soch ke ki aap sab log khush hain is rishte se, likin ab mujhe samaj aya ki agar is rishte Ayaan aur main khush nahi rahenge toh aap log bhi khush nahi honge, isliye please abu yeh nikkah tod di jiye, main Ayaan se nikkah nahi karna chahati". Humaira looked hopefully at her abu. That last line rang like thunder in Ayaan's ears.
Gaffur shook his head and turned to Ayaan, "dekho Ayaan beta Humaira ne apna faisla suna diya hai, kya tumhe kuch kehna hai?". Humaira closed her eyes, hoping to tune out whatever Ayaan had to say, she couldn't hear him say that he didn't wanna marry her again. Ayaan stood their silent not knowing what to say, at one point he was clear that he didn't want to marry Humaira, but now that wasn't clear anymore. "toh thik hai tumhari khamoshi bhi yahi keh rahi hai ki tumhe yeh nikkah qubool nahi hai, toh faisla hogaya hum tum dono ke saath koi zabardasti nahi karenge". Saying that Gaffur walked away.
~Later that night Ayaan stood in his room repeating Humaira's words in his mind, than getting flashbacks of her as rajni and as his Humaira. He was so confused. He heard a knock on his door and turned around to see Humaira standing their holding something in her hand still wearing her suit.
"Hum aapko kuch lotana chahate hain". Humaira stumbled over her words. Ayaan walked towards her. "Humaira dekho main apko koi dukh nahi dena chahata tha, likin'" Beofre Ayaan could finish Humaira spoke up.
"Please Ayaan aapne jo kehena tha aap uss raat keh chuke, joh bhi humne niche kaha woh sach hai, hum aapse nikkah nahi karna chahate hum appko kissi bhi rishte main zabardasti nahi bandane chahate issliye I freed you Ayaan from this unwanted relationship". The tears she was trying to hold back rolled down her eyes, and Ayaan could now see the pain he had caused her, he felt the guilt return this time with anger. "Yeh lijiye ab iska koi matlab nahi hai", Humaira said, handing the engagement ring to Ayaan, he noticed how her hand shivered. "Humaira please hamari baat'" but before Ayaan could say anything Humaira left the room. Ayaan stood their holding the ring, in that moment he relived the pain that he knew Humaira felt when he told her he didn't love her.
