'Big Brother' winner Shilpa Shetty has rejected an offer to star in BBC One's flagship soap 'EastEnders'. The Bollywood actress was approached by the BBC for a one year deal to play a love interest for bad boy Phil Mitchell. Shilpa's character would have also been the elder sister of current Indian character Preeti. She would have ben joined in the soap by a further three Indian characters to make up a new family, who would move into the old Pauline Fowler house. One of the reasons as to why Shilpa turned down the part was that it would have tied her up for the foreseeable future and it would have been difficult for her to juggle her film work.

im glad she rejected it!! she wouldnt look good opposite Phil Mitchell...sorry 2 all Phil Mitchell fans he's jus not good looking at all..and he would look to old for Shilpa...

i dnt like it no more...da best storylines were of Luv traingle Alfie/Kat/Andy and also the storyline between Dennis/Sharon/Den...

but after Den and Dennis died the show got boring cos Sharon left the show after Dennis got murdered, after all tht what used to liven it up was Alfie and Kat. but they left too...and Andy died in the show very soon.

So basically all the good characters either left the show or died, so i stopped watching it...

Oooh, Would have been interesting if she said yes. 😆
