He sat in the drivers seat and drove to KC. When he apply the brake it didn't. He tried again and again but brake didn't work.

Crap' how this happened? Thought maan and tried to control the speed of the car. In order to avoid the other vehicles the took the U turn as a result, he dashed the car to a huge tree. Due to speed, maan fell down of the car breaking the mirrors. The last word came out of his mouth before slipping into unconscious is GEET' After all went blank.

At the same time geet clutched her duppatta near her heart feeling something odd. She immediately took her mobile and tried to call maan but it's coming as out of coverage area.

"Maan, why you are not answering the call. Meeting also got cancelled" geet is totally worried about maan. She is trying to call him again and again, but its coming as not reachable. She is totally frustrated and thrown her mobile on the couch and went out of her cabin. She spotted adi sir there, she went to him hurriedly.

"Adi sir" called geet.

"Yes geet" asked adi.

"Maan sir, I mean where is maan sir?" asked geet.

"He will be coming geet" told adi, as he too don't know where maan is.

Geet smiled slightly at him. just then her mobile rang, she forgot to put it in silent. She rushed to her cabin thinking it might be maan's call. As expected its from maan. Her happiness have no bounds.

"Hello maan, where are you?" asked geet thinking it is maan.

"Madam aap geet hai?" asked the person on the other end.

Geet once again checked caller ID and it is maan. She got confused and answered.

"yes"

"Madam, maan sir ka accident hua. Wo ab hospital mein hain, aapka naam missed calls mein the isiliye maine aapko call kiya. Wo xyz hospital mein admitted hai" told the nurse.

Geet didn't hear anything other than the word accident and she is totally lost it and collapsed on the floor.

"Madam, aap sun rahe ho na?" asked nurse getting no response from her she got confused and cut the call.

Unknowingly tears rolled down her cheeks. She is totally blank, once again her mobile rang and it's from dadi.

"He..l..lo" answered geet.

"Beta, are you in office?" asked dadi.

Geet didn't answer anything and started crying, it soon turned into a loud sobs. Dadi is shocked and confused hearing her loud sobs.

"Geet bte, aap ro kyun rahe ho? Kya hua beta?" asked dadi worried. She, without wasting any time took the cab to KC.

"Dadi, maan"

"Kya hua beta?" asked dadi, now she is also worried. Geet got up hurriedly and ran towards the lift, and took the taxi to hospital.

"Dadi, maan ka accident hua. XYZ hospital" told geet and cut the call. She kept on praying babaji that maan should be fine.

Maan's accident came like a shocker to dadi, she asked to driver to drive towards the hospital. Geet reached first and asked in the reception about the accident of maan. And they informed he is in ICU. Tears are not taking a name of stopping. She rushed to ICU, doctors didn't allow her to go inside as they don't want anyone to disturb him as he is in very critical condition.

"How is he doctor?" asked geet hoping for a positive answer.

"We are trying our best to save him miss" told doctor and rushed inside as nursed called him. Geet peeped in to see maan from the hole. He is surrounded with different wires and machines and she is totally shattered seeing maan in this condition. She sat on the ground and is crying bitterly. Soon dadi too reached there, seeing geet's condition dadi is shattered.

Geet saw dadi and got up. They both hugged and dadi too is in tears seeing her grandson in this condition. Both sat there waiting for doctor and for some good news that maan is alright. Soon veer too reached hospital as dadi called him and told about maan's accident. And asked not to inform anyone. When geet saw veer, she rushed to him and spoke.

"Bhai, please save maan. Please bhai" requested and cried geet.

Veer too is in shock with the turn of events, he maintained a straight face in front of geet and told.

"Geet, look at me. Nothing is going to happen to maan, I am there na. don't cry" told veer and wiped her tears.

Doctor came out of the ICU and saw the 3 members are looking at him with hopeful eyes. She sighed and told

"Dr. Khurana, please come with me" told doctor.

Veer nodded and followed doctor asking both geet and dadimaa to wait here itself.

"Please have your sear" told doctor.

"Doctor, how is maan?" asked veer.

"As a doctor you will understand the case very well dr. Khurana. Mr. Khurana had a serious head injury, and we have to do a surgery immediately. For that we need o+ blood, we should get short of blood during operation. And we cant tell anything after the operation too because you know how head injuries are like" told doctor.

Veer sighed heavily. "Don't worry about blood, mine and my sister preeti's blood group is same. Doctor as a brother I am requesting you to save my brother. I cant think as a doctor now" told veer and left from there in tears. He is breaking down from inside.

Maan, he is the one who took the responsibility of whole family. Being a elder brother he didn't do anything. Maan is the one who took care of family business, he totally forgot how to smile and always got lost in the work for him, for his family. He didn't do anything for himself. Again he is the who is suffering. Why god is doing this to him. Veer, sat on the near by bench and allowed his tears to come out as he has to be strong in front of geet and dadi. If they see him like this, they will be more shattered.

"Kuch nahi hoga maan tumko, tera bro hai na" veer tried himself to convince and all went in vain. He cried his heart out, as he know how critical maan is. But he cant do anything as surgery is much. He is feeling so helpless, being a world famous doctor he is not able to help his own brother. He felt a hand on his shoulder. Veer looked up and saw guru(Geet's brother) over there.

"Kuch nahi hoga maan ko" told guru. Veer hugged him and cried.

"Why he is suffering like this?" asked veer. No one has any answer for this.

"Geet and dadi are waiting for you, please come" told guru.

"I cant face gudiya" told veer.

"We have to be strong for her" told guru and both went to them.

"Bhai, anna what doctor told? Maan is fine na?" asked geet. She didn't get any answer from them.

"Why you are silent? Please tell me something" begged geet in helplessness.

"Gudiya, chup hojao. Maan bilkul thik hai, just a small surgery is needed. Then he will be perfectly fine" told veer.

"Surgery?" gasped geet.

"Nothing serious ammi, see within few days maan will be fit and fine" told guru and hugged his little sister dearly.

"Kareva anna (Really bro?" asked geet.

"Haan" replied guru.

Dadi can easily sense they both are lying and there is something serious.

"Dadi, you go home. I will be there here" told veer.

"No beta, I am fine" told dadi.

"Dadi please" requested veer.

Dadi couldn't deny seeing his pleasing face, he is already drained out and she don't want to trouble him more. She nodded and got up.

Veer dropped her back to KM.

"Veer, what happened to maan?" asked dadi.

"Nothing dadi, I told in the hospital na. just a small surgery" told veer.

"You cant fool me veer, tell me the truth" asked dadi.

Veer, who controlled till now hugged dadi at once. He didn't cry as he don't want to be weak.

"He will be fine dadi and he should be fine, not for you or me. He should be fine for geet" told veer and broke the hug and drove back to the hospital.
